the view was great from room 104 my first room had just been painted and the smell was quire strong so asked you be moves and was given room 104 which was nicer. does need a bit of refurbishment as the shower was not as clean as I would like. there is not a lot to do in the hotel apart from the hammam and spa which was great and the price was reasonable we paid 400 for 2 of us and a 2.5 yr old for hammam and massage and then had my hair straightened as well. the breakfast was a bit repetitive yo... Initially I got the impression at reception this hotel would have been a better experience than it turned out to be I paid more for this hotel than my previous 4 star hotel and sorry to say I was throughally dissatisfied. I was not expecting perfection just a clean room smelling nice, a good night's sleep and a breakfast that was edible. I'm not fussy I'm easily pleased I just ask for the basic I got none of what I hoped for. Let's start with good points.. Friendly and very helpful receptio... Read more

Islane hotel is all about location! Just in front of the main square, it provides you with easy access to most of the touristic areas. As the hotel is very well centralized, be ready for some noise, afterall it is all part of the fun. Avoid the rooms downstairs (numbers 300's), TIP: first floor is the best choice. Breakfast is very simple, but you can't expect really much for a cheap rate. TIP: Ask for an omellete, otherwise they won't give it to you. Staff are absolutely nice, wish I could reme... Read more

I stayed in this hotel for only 3 nights, the spa and massage were absolutely amazing, I would highly recommend to have a Moroccan Hammam it was relaxing and just fabulous, thumbs up to the whole staff they were very hospitable, helpful, especially to Latifa she's willing to give you a discount all you have to do is ask for it, you won't regret staying there.

We picked the hotel after a recommendation by a local tour guide in Agadir. The hotel is opposite Koutoubia Mosque and around the corner of Jamaa el Fna (the big square). Upon our arrival we were taken to our room only to find it not cleaned, yet. However, the cleaning lady invited us to wait on the rooftop terrace for ten minutes and we decided to have lunch there. Food was good, but service a bit slow. The room was cleaned, no amenities apart from liquid soap, though. AC was turned to 16C, whi... Read more

The hotel was sold to us as 3-Star. It was decidedly not any star. I checked on the AA ratings website for hotels and even a 1 star should be in a decent decorative order and clean and fresh-smelling. This place hadn't been "decorated" in years - There was mould, gouges out of the walls and the painting looked like it had been done by a 3-year old. Drips everywhere and nothing "in the lines". Bathroom smelt of drains the whole time and hadn't been cleaned properly in years I would say - We even ... Read more

This hotel is right opposite the Mosque and the Square where the Souk and stalls are. We went during Ramadan and we realised it gets quite loud at night where people goes to the mosque from 10pm til early hours in the morning. Good and bad points for being so central. Reception lady who's there during the day was helpful and friendly the other guy at the reception was rubbish - can't be bothered to help. We arrived early at 10am and they kindly accommodated us and let us leave our luggage to hav... Read more

When I and my daughter travelled to Marrakech, we cannot imagine that will be possible to find a place like the Islane Hotel in Morocco. My dayghter had looked mixed reviews of this hotel. Sometimes the opinions weren't positive. Besides this, we decided to stay there, but we weren't full of trust about how would be our time in that place, because we were two alone women, and that were our first time in Morocco. However , majority experience for us were succesfully. All the staff were polite and... Read more

We booked Islane hotel for its location both to the attractions and to the airport. The hotel charges â?¬20 Euros for transfers to the airport, but you can get a taxi just outside the hotel for 70dirhams (approx â?¬6 euros). The hotel is ideally located near all major Marrakesh attractions i.e Jamaa El Fna square and El Koutobia mosque. It is quite important to ask for a room in the other side of the mosque if you don't want to be disturbed at 4/5am. The hotel was clean and the shower was good... Read more

I keep coming back to Islane hotel because it is beautifully located near the center of the city within walking distance of jamaa el fana and the most famous monument in Morocco La koutoubia! They have a terrace with a spectacular view what more can one ask for?! The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. Feels like home away from home.

Stayed here from the 17th - 22nd with 2 friends and chose this hotel based on reviews on tripadvisor. the location is perfect, its on the old city right next to the medina and souks so shopping is so convenient and its so lively day and night with snake charmers, markets, restaurants, folk singers and dancers among more. good police presence so you can feel safe but everyone is so friendly there. Famous katoubia mosque is right opposite and park and shopping centre with KFC and McDonalds just ... Read more

I did not stay at the hotel but had 2 dinners in their restaurant which where fantastic. The restaurant is upstairs in the open air and looks at the Mosque which is beautiful when the Minerat is lit up after dark. The sunset is incredible. The food and service where of a high standard and loved the live music. I had the Royal Coucous the first visit and the Chicken and lemon tagine the next and ca recommend both.
