. . . . .but once you dig in you discover it's all about the money. Very very noisy which I appreciate one must expect in the Medina but not to the extent we suffered. The owner tried to sell us tours and trips, she also said that the trains were too dangerous for Europeans alone on her own so tried to get us to use her people for quite long journeys (the trains are fine and comfortable). Just a VERY poor experience in most respects. However the roof terrace is pleasant and the breakfasts are p... Read more

This is a beautiful Riad in Fez with history leaping out of every room. The room we had was absolutely beautiful with air conditioning as it was cool at night. The furniture is as old as the building and quickly takes you into the past with huge comfortable bed, to a luxurious dining room with cushions everywhere to roof top breakfasts. The food was plentiful and tasty and well worth it. But above all, the staff are fantastic. Both Abdil and Juliet speak English - Juliet as a first language. The... Read more

I stayed here with my sister for 5 days and it was perfect - very hospitable staff and owners. They catered to our every need and whim, and were very helpful in their advice to us. They weren't pushy at all, just made suggestions to see if we were interested. The breakfasts were great - Juliet is happy for you to ask her for anything you would prefer and went out of her way to accommodate us. The view from the terrace is really beautiful, and I absolutely loved staying in the medina. Zaineb (... Read more

We had a great stay at the riad. We where welcomed by Said who was there for a nice talk, advice, a friendly word and great service. The next morning we met the owner Juliete (first language English), who is very friendly and helpful. Great communication by email upfront. She arranged for a good driver for a very reasonable price to pick us up at the airport (and also return). We had our first diner in Fez at the rooftop of the riad. Very nice food, perfect tender chicken tajine. We met the co... Read more

This is a wonderful Riad and a lovely facility. Juliet the owner, is extremely responsive and helpful. The other employees and service impeccable. The Riad itself has been painstakingly restored and is very nice. My eight year old and I stayed for three nights and wished it could have been longer. It is the first Riad we stayed in where we experienced the generous Moroccan hospitality we have heard so much about. We felt like we were part of the family Breakfast is included and quite good an... Read more

After a less than satisfactory experience with a different riad, my friends and I found Riad Dar Guennon online, Abdul and Said met us in the middle of the night to get us rooms. Such hospitality and kindess you would not find anywhere else! GORGEOUS rooms filled with antiques, amazing food - breakfast and camel tajine were so fresh and of course the mint tea was delicious. Riad Dar Guennon truly felt like home, hope to return to Fez in the future inshallah.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay here - recommended to us by some travelers we had met. Juliette (owner) and staff could not have been more helpful. Very restful after visiting the souks. Breakfast on the terrace was of course great!

My wife and I stayed at Riad Dar Guennoun in late September for four days .It was a very good choice. Our room on the ground floor was spacious, very clean and with a good shower. Breakfast was included and held on the roof top. The menu varied day to day and was more than ample. Australian born Juliet, the long standing owner and Said made sure our stay went smoothly. They arranged a guide for the medina and a day trip to Meknes and Volubilis. They could not have been more helpful. We highly reco... Read more
