At less than £100 a night for an excellent 5 star hotel, it seems churlish to mention any negatives but with tourist levels badly hit by terrorism fears (unfounded here), the hotel is not quite what it was 2 years ago. Pool service used to be unbelievably good with loads of staff, towels etc. Now there are less staff and towels ran out more than once during our stay. Heating of the pool was erratic too. Breakfasts are still a fantastic spread but with a little less fresh fruit than used to be p... Read more

This hotel is really wonderful. Spent 7 nights here. No problems at all. No issues to report. Great staff with excellent service. Considering you are visiting another country with different culture and religion you always need to remember to respect and appreciate what you when you eventually go back home. I am thankful and humble to have had such a great experience with my wife here. Lovely sea view, sunsets to appreciate and plenty of sunshine for tanning. Amazing.

The hotel was only 30% full due to the French tourists staying away. The hotel had obviously cut staff and facilities accordingly. They did not have an evening buffet which on previous visits we found superb. We did not like the meals in the main restaurant which had a very limited menu. After a few days we went next door to their sister hotel and had the buffet which was good but the food on offer was not as extensive as we had previously experienced. The service around the pool was definitely... Read more

The best hotel in Agadir as far as I'm concerned. Either this or the Thalassa which is equally as beautiful! From the moment we got out out of our taxi we greeted with 5 star service! The porters immediately came and got our bags from the taxi and we were shown to the reception area. We we then taken to a main lobby to take a seat and a member of staff would come to check us in rather than standing and waiting at reception. We were greeted there with fresh towels and tea and treats! This 5* ... Read more

The location of the hotel close to the beach is excellent. Also the swimming pool and the possibilities for lounging at the pool or beach are great. The room is clean, but the furniture isn't in great shape anymore. It soon needs to be replaced to meet the 5 star hotel quality. Also not all of the staff was as friendly and hospitable as you would expect. The biggest disappointment was the dining experience in la Nasse restaurant. We could only choose for the buffet menu. Truly beautiful hotel by the beach, with an own private beach area as well as a large pool area with bars and restaurants. Rooms are clean and nice, huge and comfortable beds, really nice big bathroom. The breakfast is really one of the best I've ever experienced, everything could be found with lots of services. Very friendly service in all hotel. Restaurant as well had delicious food, nice to enjoy poolside lunch or dinner. I can warmly recommend while staying in Agadir. A luxury experience!

Had an overall nice experience at the Sofitel Agadir RBR. The pool area was extremely nice, as was the beach area. These were my two favorite things about this property, by far. The service at this hotel is lacking. Calling it a five-star is a stretch. For instance, at one point we asked the front desk (in person) to unlock the English channels on our TV and they said they were sending someone up. This never happened, and repeated attempts to call the front desk went unanswered. In anoth... Read more

The rooms are spacious and the beds are softer than my own at home. The facilities are as advertised and very kid friendly. A lot of security which is both reassuring and alarming all at the same time (maybe use ear pieces instead of walkie talkies guys). However the food is mediocre at best and costs a kings ransom. I also had a superior room with a band playing loudly outside my room by night and cheesy music blaring by day. Not a bad place but a bit impersonal (possibly due to scale) and... Read more

It says it's a luxury hotel but not from our experience. Shower was not very good little water running through the shower head. We also had problems with the toilet flush but this was pretty much fixed on the same night. Negatives aside its very clean and nice hotel in a pretty good location. The reception area is great, as are the gardens, swimming area and beach. Kindof ends there though. For the price you pay, the room was ok only, not that great, a little tired. Breakfast is ok but again not great. Service was great. A bit disappointed overall however; I expected better. The (new) other Sofitel (next door) is better I have been told but I didn't see for myself.

I really enjoyed my stay in Agadirs SOFITEL - highly recommend it! The service is great, friendly personnel, clean rooms, four restaurants to choose from - food is really good and fresh. Overall, I wouldn't mind to go back there but on a vacation this time!

Massive swimming pool and private beach. 300 days of sunshine a year. What else could you want!? Check-in and check-out were both slow but other than that we didn't have any grievances. Be prepared to pay top dollar for pool-side food. Rooms are great. Parking is secure. Safe place to stay. I'll miss that November sun on those loungers.

Stayed here with a friend for 5 nights in November . Last minute sun getaway . Positives on the resort - rooms were basic but clean . Cleaning staff lovely and polite . Singers Sandra & Cliff brilliant singers and enjoyed seeing them . Staff at breakfast good and in So Bar . Negatives very over priced food and drinks in hotel . Outside discovered much better food in the Marina . The Marina restaurants had much better service and food with flavours . Inside hotel food was double the price an... Read more

We held a 2 day conference at this Sofitel and we got wonderful service. All the conference attendees and IRI staff were treated with great warmth. We arrived a bit late and although it was a little past the kitchen closing, the staff made sure we could still order. The waiters and waitresses are the friendliest I have encountered at any eating establishment in Agadir and the front desk staff treat everybody to welcoming smiles. Great to see after a long day of travel. We'll be coming back ... Read more

My friends and I rounded up our Morocco holiday at this resort and it was the BEST part of our holiday. The resort exudes so much luxury and comfort, you'd want to extend your stay. The staff are very nice and relaxed and they create an atmosphere where you are welcomed as an esteemed guest. The classic rooms are quite spacious and more than what we see in the pictures. My favourite part of the hotel is the massive pool area and its extension into the beach. They put a lot of effort into its des... Read more

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was tidy and the cleaning service is very good. The hotel reflects well the hospitality of the city with the cheerful and very helpful staff. The breakfast and dinner were excellent offering a variety of options. All in all this place is fantastic.

Hotel staff were so friendly, hospitality was wonderful. Rose petals on our bed and bathroom matt every day. Beautiful pool area, love the fact it has its own private beach, stops locals from bothering you when you're relaxing on the beach.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were very welcoming and well mannered. We encountered a problem with collection for an excursion that we had booked in advance. Yousef (Manager) was amazing and personally saw to it that we didn't miss out! Our room was clean and well presented. The ambiance in the evening with the live singers was also enjoyable. Overall a great stay. We didn't eat at the hotel unfortunately as it wasn't affordable on our budget. Other than that I would h... Read more

We spent a week here at his hotel and can say we were really pleased with picking Sofitel for our holiday in Agadir. The hotel rooms itself show some signs of wear and may require slight refurbishment to bring it to 5* standard but they were extremely clean and with all the basic stuff you need. The staff all over the hotel from the entrance to the outside pools were very polite and always ready to help. The swimming pool area and the beach was what we and the kids enjoyed the most. Always very ... Read more

We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights, and I must say that we loved it! Everything, from the breakfast to the evening show/entertainment in the hotel lobby was fantastic. A nice atmosphere combined with a very serviceminded and welcoming staff made our stay flawless! Especially Omar, who decorated our room every day, and Tarik and Alami in the concierge, who were very helpful and always available for us. Thank you very much for a nice stay. I'm sure we'll be back upon our next visit to Agadir.

Sofitel in Agadir is world away from the Riads. Our Check in was very slow and disappointing as they didn't have twin rooms ready. Good location and can walk the beach though it was a bit too chilly in November. The restaurant menu is seafood driven. they could add more vegetarian options are very limited to pizza and some pasta. The restaurant staff were attentive. Dinner buffet for 400dirhams ~$40 was expensive and who really wants to eat 16 desserts. Maybe for people use to loading up... Read more

This the second time we have visited Sofitel Agadir and we will be returning in the future. The service is very genuine, everything evolves around the customer, all facilities are always set up to be used even off season with few customers to entertain. We would like to extend our thanks especially to Mr Madani, Mr Omar and Mr Driss, who were taking such an excelent care of us. Also a big thank you goes to Saleh in reception for his warm welcome and service. We recommend this hotel because t... Read more

Only stayed for one night on a business trip and this hotel is more of a tourist hotel, but it was really nice to stay somewhere with a little entertainment was playing in the evening when I arrived. The room was very comfy, with great comfy bed and pillows and lovely and clean. My only issue with the room was even with the air conditioning on full blast the room was still very hot. As the outside temperature was not too hot at this time of year, I am not sure what this would be like in the ... Read more
