We visited the spa today and are feeling wonderfully relaxed. Edgar gave us detailed information on what we would experience in the spa. He was super friendly and helpful. Apple cider, local flowers, salt, coffee, soy, and mud baths... followed by steam rooms with eucalyptus and then ozone.. and much more. It was a fabulous day and we are feeling amazing afer all those healing infusions. We will return in a few days to enjoy once more before we leave. Thank you.

A very relaxing place to be. I did;t have a car but you can get just about anywhere easily on the buses. The front desk can help with info. No phones in room but they can receive messages and give the to you. And they will place local calls for you and there are phone kiosks just outside. I enjoyed my stay very much.

Great facility on the shores of Lake Chapala. The spa and hotel is very much family oriented. The sheer number of pools and the size of the place is probably the most numerous facility in the area. Families come from Guadalajara and the surrounding areas just for the day experience as well, so it can get pretty busy over the weekends. Just goes to show how well regarded the place is. They come with all their foods and ice chests and just hang out enjoying the warm waters in all the pools. Pl... Read more

We visited the hotel at the beginning of Easter break. Amazing service, spacious, clean rooms, incredibly well maintained and clean grounds and pools. My husband and I loved the spa tour in the various hot tubs, super relaxing 2 1/2 hours. And at 155 pesos for this spa experience... What a deal! The hotel was very calm and quiet in the evening, despite the fact that it was full. It was very busy with day guests during the day, but everything was well organized and we spent hours enjoying the poo... Read more

Before I begin talking about the place and the services we got there I want to clarify that we did not stay in to spend the night in the hotel, we just went to the spa, so this review will be about the facilities and the services they offered us in the spa only. This hotel is quite old, I remember visiting it back in the 80's and since then it has not changed a lot. What is new, is the spa area and its hot water tubes and this review is about that. They charge you twice, first the entrance to th... Read more

just came back yesterday from a couple days in Guadalaja and 3 nights at Hotel Balneario. I wholeheartedly recommend the place. we went to the spa 2 times. my wife loved the mud bath, relaxing in the spa tubs and the temazcal (steam room). There were many pools, hot tubs, restaurants and the spa right there with the hotel. I will especially remember being covered in the spa mud, on the beach waiting for the mud to dry, horses running free on the beach, and the mountains in the background... Read more

I heard that the spas were a must-visit so when I had the opportunity to go to Ajijic, I decided to stop by and see what all the rage was about. Overall, this spa did not disappoint. You have to pay $240 pesos for entry into the area and then an additional $105+ pesos for the spa services. The basic spa was $105 pesos pp for approximately 1hr 45min total in 3 different pools. After you pay, you wait in a waiting area until the first pool becomes available. Refreshments are available and included... Read more
