A very nice place to relax. Not crowded and well maintained. Friendly staff and inexpensive food and drinks. Close to market, car rental, and restaurants/bars. Not on the beach, but not far from it either. There was always a bed by the pool to lounge in and a swim up bar with cold drinks. Taxis are expensive, but a rental car for a day or two to check out the area was relatively inexpensive. It was loud in the mornings - old buildings with single pane windows, but turning on the fans blocke... Read more

We have stayed at Park Royal San Jose several times. It is comfortable, spacious, and relaxing. It is quiet and we often sit by the pool and read. Restaurant just steps away, and good Mexican food choices for all 3 meals. The POOL is VERY COLD. We would like to return next month--But we want to know if the pool will be heated??? Cesar--Please let us know.

The overall facility is older but well kept including the grounds which were very well kept. The restaurant was only mediocre with no imagination to the various dishes. Service was very good and all employees were very friendly. Location was very good. Mega Market (grocery store), golf course, cab and bus service, several restaurants were all very close.

The staff are great, but the accommodations need serious updating. It's a good place to just lay around the pool, or spend most of your time away. A short taxi ride away from the new Marina;the old town with its art galleries and fine dining. 2 blocks away from a large grocery store mall with a Starbucks! Also close to the best seafood restaurant I've eaten at, in a long time, by the name of LATERAL. It's located behind the MEGA Store.

This resort is centrally located near restaurants and shopping. The rooms were very clean and the staff bent over backwards to make sure you had everything needed to make the visit enjoyable. David at guest services was very knowadgable and pointed us to some of the best local eateries and beaches in the area. Don't miss the snorkeling at Santa Maria beach. We took a day trip to La Paz. The scenery was spectacular and the roads (Rt 17) were four lanes all the way to La Paz. Don't miss Todo Santo... Read more

The staff at this property is incredibly attentive, from cleaning the room to answering questions or setting up excursions we found them to be very helpful. The property is dated, but well maintained. My only complaint is that they haven't extended wireless coverage to the rooms. To go online I have to go to the bar or restaurant. While this was a vacation trip, I still needed to spend a couple of hours a day working with clients back in the states, and it was difficult to manage this from a res... Read more

The hotel was not at all what we expected. However at the end we had a good time. Cabos is a great place to go on vacation. Except that the concierge mr Emilio MARTINEZ did not make us feel welcome at any time. He was rude and not courteous at all toward us.

Location to the beach was nice, but entry to the location was horrible. The resort was much older than expected. The service was excellent. The Wifi didn't work in the rooms, only in the lobby area. Reception was also poor.

Have returned to Park Royal Los Cabos for over 10 years and was happy to find my "staff family" still offering the same high quality service. Georgina runs a well managed and friendly front office - thank you, Norma and her family continue to offer great food, drinks, and service at El Patio restaurant (Pepe it was wonderful to see you again) The grounds are well maintained, the rooms are clean and the staff are always willing to work with you to ensure any concerns are immediately dealt with. Small resort but laid out nicely! Clean and good service. David ( concierge ) is very good and helped us out a lot Restaurant: Good food and Inexpensive We stayed here Sept 3rd - Sept 10th hurricane Newton hit us head on on sept 5th We were safe and onky without power for 7 or 8 hours when many resorts were without power for 3 days Park Royal is about a 10 minute walk to the ocean , and we normally stay at ocean front resorts but we were thankful we were at Park Royal for this stay. ... The hotel was very flexible and friendly in responding to my requests before arrival. I think the type of room we stayed in was called the ambassador's suite: The room was very spacious with a living room area, dining area, fully-equipped kitchen, large bathroom and bedroom. A/C worked great in the heat. Pools on-site are relaxing, and the whole property is surrounded by a golf course so it was tranquil at night. There's a big grocery store across the street to stock up your fridge. Close to bot... Read more

Excellent staff! Amenities are lacking. Resort has a peak of ocean view over an "aging" golf course. About 1/2 mile from the beach and the beaches along this part of San Jose are unswimable. The pool is tiny with an even smaller "adult" pool. Spa was not hot. Service in the patio restuarant was VERY slow. Staff was great but prepare for an hour for a meal. I would hate to have to eat there when they were busy. I have stayed at many resorts in the past and would NOT come back to this one. ... Read more

The hotel itself is lovely. Staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. Kitchenettes are handy so you don't have to eat out all the time and grocery store only a 10 minute walk away. Unlike what others have said here, I suggest you take USD as it is easy to exchange at the hotel ( they don't deal with CAD) and welcomed everywhere. There is a place to exchange CAD but it is a 10 minute walk from the hotel.

Yes the rooms are dated but the grounds are very well maintained and the staff is great. Everyone from the desk staff to concierge to restaurant and bar staff was so friendly and helpful. The window air conditioners were very noisy but overall the resort was quiet. It is situated off the main roads and a short walk to a great grocery store. Just know they don't provide dish soap and the housekeeping staff don't wash dishes but supplies are easy enough to pick up at the store. Happy hour ... Read more

Very much enjoyed the accommodations, location, service, and cleanliness. Lots of nearby shopping and eating. Concierge service was exemplary and the staff was very friendly. It was quiet for sleeping and the location is in a very safe and lovely neighborhood.

It is a small hotel but with nice accomodations and very clean. The staff is very friendly and they are always looking forward to help. The pool was nice and warm and the divorced eggs breakfast was delicious. It is close to a big convenience store so it is easy to buy food in there. If you want to relax, I recommend visiting!

Our fly landed at 8:00 am we have a membership with Royal Holiday that get charge into my credit card every single month and we supposed to have certain benefits and privileges from normal guest. After the vehicle rental we made it to the hotel like 9:30 am... They left us to be around and around in the city until 2:39 pm they told me their occupancy issues but they didn't come up with a solution for me. Hotel it's ok and clean but if you're expecting another kind of experience you can try Mayan... Read more

We were in a king room on the first floor for a week. On the day we arrived, there were ants in the bathroom. Those ants, or some other bug, bit up our legs for a few days. I finally found a small bit of white stuff behind a trash can that they were attracted to. The pool and grounds were clean and well-maintained. We saw someone checking the water every day. The restaurant on-site is good and affordable. But the place is a taxi ride from downtown, and a short walk through one of the megare... Read more

Love this place! It feels like a private guest house. We've stayed here many times and are always eager to come back. There are some items in the suites that could use an upgrade, but overall just a delightful place.

Do not stay here if you require sleep between 10 pm and 3 am. The earth shattering loud music and man on a microphone, come from across the golf course on the back end of the units. No one at the front desk was willing to help even after several days, & many many calls for quit! Ear plugs could not even work, because u could feel the walls vibrate! Shame because everyone was nice and they kept the entire place very clean! But sleep is a required need for the average person.....shame

This was a RCI trade so price wasn't part of our concerns . The food in the restaurant was very good. Very reasonable .All the staff were more than friendly, accommodating and helpful.. The only thing we encountered was the pullout in the living room was only for one ...the second person had to sleep on the couch part but it turned out to be no problem. The manager even offered to bring her unused blow up bed from home for us . We thought at first there was a shortage of chairs , lounges (7) aro... Read more
