Superb resort. Will be world class once complete with spa, but amazing experience now in soft opening with very few guests and lots of staff eager to please. Rooms are spotless and special design with excellent views and indoor/outdoor space. Pool area is delightful. Food in Nido nest restaurant is delicious and a unique treat to dine outside in artfully shaded area. Staff are attentive but not underfoot. Great location on beautiful beach (but no sea swimmingū???-this is only downside to the are... Read more

1st impressions count & mar adentro doesn't disappoint! The room was gorgeous. Minimalist, streamlined, thoughtful & beautiful. Travertine marble throughout, a super comfy balcony with a deep tub, day bed & table to escape the afternoon heat. The double shower was amazing as were the Molton Brown toiletries. The hideaway closet was well thought out & the bed was incredibly comfortable. The staff really were excellent. Accommodating & attentive to any requests. The restaurants were great. Dail... We were a party of nine, for lunch at The Nest, yesterday. We live in Cabo 5 months of the year and our friends are there 10 months a year. We wanted Mar Adentro to do well even though it's been a slow start. Service has always been slow but they just do not train their people. We were greeted upon arrival by a Security Guard asking if we had a reservation. When we said no, he wanted us to wait while he made one for us. We could see the place was empty. Guests are no longer allowed to wal... Read more

We stayed at the Mar Adentro back in February but feel our imput is important. It was our first time in Cabo and we LOVED it! Have traveled a dozen times, mostly to the Cancun/Riviera Maya/Playa del Carmen area, and Puerto Vallarta. But San Jose del Cabo is definitely our favorite destination in Mexico, so far! We chose San Jose because it is smaller and not a busy as Cabo San Lucas. The city was very clean, safe and no mosquitoes as it's the desert. It was great to sleep with the doors open a... Read more

I visited Mar Adentro on a "girl's weekend" trip in early April during the hotel's soft opening. It took a day to get used to the modern and somewhat sterile atmosphere of the hotel. I think it was particularly sterile because so few of the rooms were occupied while we were there. The Nest restaurant is as visually stunning as other reviewers mention. Unfortunately the rooftop terrace bar was not open yet. While it is a long walk to the beach, when you get there you are treated to a very pr... Read more

Words really can't describe the sheer beauty of this place! It is so visually stunning that I really didn't want to leave the property at all during our stay. The service was amazing and so was the food. When I inquired what the beautiful scent was that they use throughout the property one of the staff left a package of it in our room for us, first class guys!! The architecture is so calming and relaxing throughout the property and the attention to detail is real architecture porn. We were ... Read more

Horrible poor managed Hotel. Very bad service and only the Architecture looks great. The Hotel is not finished with construction and they should not open it. Also the residence are overpriced for this location. The Hotel is for 100% at the wrong location. This is not a high end location. The Hotel looks like a ghost town at night. The restaurant is empty and no one at the bar. During the day the pool is empty. There is no life here at all. For sure not the Hip Jet Set Hotel what they claim to... Read more

Exquisite Design & Impeccable Service From the moment we entered the lobby till the time we begrudgingly left for the airport, we were in complete awe of this special property. Mar Adentro is not only exceptionally imagined and executed, it‚??s done so with love. Architect and owner, Miguel √?ngel Aragon‚??s vision is nothing short of breathtakingly brilliant. It is an inspiring and rejuvenating place that reminds you to breathe. Upon check-in, Sergio graciously walked us through the ameniti... Read more

This hotel is not to be missed. The interior will take your breath away. The views are stunning. The staff is friendly. The dining is exquisite. Breakfast in the birds nest dining room is worth it alone. If you want to relax in luxury at a stunning boutique hotel, this is your place. There is nothing else like it in Cabo.

Having heard a few opinions in recent weeks, we decided to try it ourselves. The hotel staff and ambience is neither stuffy nor sterile, it is simply modern-chic. The restaurant known as Origens, was our purpose, and we were not disappointed. While the menu is shorter than most, the food is very well presented and prepared. This menu is priced higher than the average but well worth the effort to get dressed up and enjoy the attentive service and quality. The audio system and the music selection w... Read more

Mar Adentro Hotel is a an architectural wonder; a resort that needs to be seen to be believed. The hotel itself is as advertised; very contemporary, very beautiful, and very hip. The ambiance changes from day to night as building is transformed from its pristine white form to one of many colors. Even the rooms are a transformative experience. Its exterior sun screen is retractable, protecting each rooms private balconies but also allowing it to open to a direct view of the ocean; Its interior sc... Read more

The rooms are amazing, with a large balcony with a view. Very modern rooms, everything is controllable through a tablet: the curtains, the light, and the music. The food in the restaurant is delicious. The whole place is beautifully designed: minimalist, comfortable, all white. A unique place in Cabo.

I travel every week, so I have seen a lot of hotels all over the world. But this is only the 2nd time I have ever written a review, because Mar Adentro is DIFFERENT, in every way. For my wife‚??s birthday I wanted it to be elegant, romantic and memorable. I wanted my wife to feel as if we had ‚??booked the whole place just for us‚??. The architecture of Mar Adentro is very elegant, minimalist and refine. The buildings framed one‚??s view to the water and sky. Mar Adentro literally means... Read more

The hotel is a unique architectural experience. The food is excellent and the staff attentive. Comfortable beautiful rooms. But it's hard to relax. Very limited shade by the pool and also there is no time in the day when there isn't someone cleaning. All the time, everywhere. You sort of feel it's better you do not move or touch anything. After a while makes you go nuts. I would recommend the hotel just for the concept if it weren't for the owner. Very rude and unprofessional. Often mistrea... Read more

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Mar Adentro. It is a truly unique property that does make you feel you're in another world. The staff and manager were exceptionally helpful and kind, and they made us feel like we were the center of the universe. It was my wife's 30th birthday, and the staff did everything they could to make her feel special (from chocolate covered strawberries in the room, complimentary champagne, to a special dessert at dinner). I fell in love with this property online! When my husband and I pulled up, we were greeted by a friendly staff. Upon check-in the pleasantries continued. The bell hop showed us to our room and showed us how to operate our room. Yes, I said operate. Everything is literally operated by a Samsung tablet located in the room. The room is phenomenal and so is my view. I called Concierge to find a local photographer to come and take pictures of our milestone. I was notified by Concierge that p... Read more
