"Hotel was wonderful. I thought we would miss the beach but the lagoon was great, and we did a lot of snorkeling right at the resort. Great location, close to town. Staff were friendly and efficient."

"We booked our honeymoon at this resort and our experience was absolutely AWFUL. We booked an ocean view room and they didn't have one when we arrived. They claimed they 'upgraded' us to a concierge level room, however it was a view of a barbed-wire fence, we received no concierge level amenities, and actually had to ARGUE with the check-in staff about what they should do to compensate us. The cleaning staff was extremely noisy at very early hours, and after complaining about the noise in our building for days we were finally moved to a different room, although the noise continued. Both rooms we were in had STAINED towels and linens, and even had DEAD BUGS in the jacuzzi tub after the cleaning. Compared to food from their sister properties, the food was terrible in all the restaurants with the exception of the steakhouse. Aside from the check-in hosts, the staff was very friendly. The spa was actually the best part of our stay. It was clean, had multiple options, and had a quick and helpful staff. We used our resort credits almost exclusively at the spa because our first two resort credit 'activities' (Wine Tasting and Chefs Dinner) were poor quality. 'All Inclusive' is also a loose term given the fact that we had to pay 'tax' on the resort credit activities. The 'beach front' they claim they have is not a beach at all. It is a man-made cove behind a wall of rocks.

Overall our experience was very negative and was not the way we wanted to spend our honeymoon. We will not book here in the future, and we do not recommend booking a stay here to anyone."

"We visited the first week of February and had an absolute wonderful time! We stayed on the Spa side of the resort, in an ocean view room,on the 3rd floor. We were in the middle of the property and could easily walk, or take the golf cart service to either side of the resort..
We ordered room service several times, for breakfast, and enjoyed it on our balcony. The staff is incredible! They were so attentive that they anticipated our every need, and provided it before we even asked. The resort credits were a fantastic bonus and provided us with golf, spa, a lobster dinner, a five course chef's dinner, a trip to see the Mayan ruins, and even some purchases at the jewelry store.
The resort is in transition to a Hard Rock property. They assured us that when that was completed that linens, bedding, towels, and furniture would be replaced with fresh, new updated items. The resort had night time shows and dinners. There was so much to do, that we will definitely have to return to do more!"

"We visited the resort on January 13,2013. The first day was difficult as we had no idea were the buffet was and felt like we were dumped at our room and left. We never found out what was free at the resort. Last day we found out we could have used areas that we did not know we were allowed. Our room was ocean view and was everything we asked for. The room was clean, quiet and the beds were very comfortable. I did have to ask each day we were there to get our room cleaned. However, after calling it did not take long to get the room done.
We booked with concier service so we had that to our advantage. Check in was quick and booking excursions was easy. The only complaint I had, we didn't get to book our excursions or spa until the day after we arrived. We were only there 4 days so it really waisted one day. Spa service was wonderful.

We could not ask for a nicer staff. Everyone was polite and willing to help. If they could not help they found someone that could. Very friendly!

I would recommend this resort for a relaxing quiet get away. If you are looking for lots of adventure or action for the kids definately book excursions before you go.

We are planning a trip back in May."

Lo �nico que a nosotros no nos gusto y es realmente importante es que el hotel no tiene playa. Son unas especie de pozos y nosotros preferimos olas y arena. Adicionalmente por ser Navidades, el hotel estaba totalmente lleno y hubo d�as que no hab�a tumbonas o camastros para sentarse ni en la piscina ni en la 'playa'. Excelente relaci�n calidad - precio. // The Hotel, the facilities, the staff, the spa, the food ... are really excellent, highly recommended. The only thing we did not like and it's really important is that the hotel has no beach. They are a kind of wells and we prefer to surf and sand. Additionally being Christmas, the hotel was fully booked and there were days that there were no chairs or chairs to sit either in the pool or in the 'beach '. Excellent - value."

"The hotel property was beautiful.
We arrived early expecting to book some of our trip 'experiences' and were unable to do so until we got our room. Check in was suppose to be at 3pm. We weren't able to get our room until 5pm.
Food and drinks were great. Wait staff was excellent!
We booked a room over on the Spa side (no kids) but upon arrival we were pit on the Cove side (with kids) due to over booking :(
It was difficult to schedule spa services during the day.... we could only get massages at 8:30pm - ugh!"

"My husband and I stayed at the hotel from Jan 13 to Jan 20, 2013. The resort is huuuuuge! And it was fully booked when we got there. I clearly stated that I wanted a room with 1 king bed located on the second or third floor, instead I got a room with 2 full beds on the 1st floor. It was impossible to explain to the staff that I am here on the vacation with my husband and that we need at least one queen bed, they didn't listen and made no effort in upgrading my room. I was turned off by the hotel form the first day. Also bathroom was very outdated and room was very small.
On the positive side, the food and drinks were delicious. I was able to redeem the resort credit on the spa treatments, this was by the way the best part of the trip. Entertainment was enjoyable.
However, I will still not go back to the resort."

"My wife and I normally go to Hawaii because of the trouble in Mexico, but my son gave us this trip for Christmas. First of all, this isn't Hawaii and shouldn't be compared to it. It's a great adventure and should be looked at that way. The hotel is clean and seems to be pretty well organized. They were only 40% occupied while we were there, but for some reason our room was 'way out yonder'. We didn't fret to much about it though because we like the exercise. There are several restaurants available and I'm here to tell you the food was excellent. We tried things we never even thought of and really had a great time. The staff is incredibly friendly and more than helpful. Only two things I can think of that they could benefit from. One is a beach, we really missed that, and handrails for us older folks. The only place that has them is the main building. Other than that it was great."
