"The Villa Del Palmar Flamingos Resort is great! The resort is beautiful, the pools are large and warm, the hot tub overlooks the beach and at night it is welcoming with the fire. All the staff at the hotel are efficient and hard working. The gardeners are always out there trimming and clipping and watering making the grounds so beautiful at night it is breathtaking. The cleaning staff always had our room clean, I don't know how they did it. We would leave our room for a short time and come back and it was clean, fresh towels, bed made everything. The hotel is located on a beautiful beach but it is way out there, but for a quiet relaxing vacation it is great. All the rooms have a kitchen so take a short taxi ride to the Mega grocery store and stock up on supplies especially the baked goodies. Those chocolate coated donuts were incredible. The hotel has alot of activities during the day and night, there was a visit from a sea lion, cute as can be and movie night by the pool. When you want to go to Puerto Vallarta there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel and it will take you there. The bus ride back is a bit long but you get to see the whole area. This was our second time staying at this hotel and we will definately be back. We love it. See you all next year or sooner!"

"We love this resort. We had a studio with 2 double beds, and a kitchenette which was fully stocked with dishes and a set of pots, pans and utencils (which we allowed us to cook a few times to keep the cost of our trip down). The facilities are kept up emaculately; the grounds are beautifully manicured. It is a beautiful resort. But it is the design of the the resort that made us fall in love with it...everything is situated toward the beach. The rooms are all facing the beach (even though some of the tall palms may block views of some rooms.) You'll have breakfast on the beach, dinner ON the beach as the restaurants are situated steps from the the water. A hot tub is at the water's edge. And the food was delicious; we ate at 2 out of 3 of the restaurants on this site. Here, you'll watch the most beautiful red sunsets as you cut the most tender, delicious steak with a fork. If being close to the water is your vision of the perfect getaway, this place will be a dream realized. But let me not neglect to comment on the staff that make this resort work. From the bellboys and maids to the desk personnel...all were competent, available and friendly. We did have problems establishing an internet connection and phone costs to correct it were added to our bill. Also the hotel adds hotel gratuities automatically to your bill and not knowing that, we were tipping directly. the desk supervisor removed the charges and documented the changes so there would be no discrepancies at check out... problem solved. People respond intelligently to intelligence and kindness, and by the time we left, we felt we had a Puerto Vallarta family.....we'll always go back."

Return via Calgary to Kelowna 12 hours {too taxing for elderly folk]
The resort however, was fabulous. We have not regrets!"
