"The Buenaventura is an ideal place to stay! GORGEOUS pools and ocean view! The interior decor was fabulous! It is conveniently located downtown and VERY NEAR all the night clubs/and the Malecon strip (closer than all other hotels and resorts)! A cab ride in conversion to the Malecon was about $4 one way. IDEAL LOCATION for both relaxing and partying! THE STAFF WAS GREAT. We stayed in a deluxe room the first night (which we were more than satisfied with), but for the next couple nights they bumped us up to the honeymoon suite because it was unoccupied! No extra charge! There is 24 hr room service and they are fast!! We had NO complaints! The all inclusive here is totally worth it! "

"My husband and I have just returned from Mexico. We have stayed at the Buenaventura Hotel for the past eight years. Each year we go with friends. We love the food, people and hospitality at this resort. The staff work so hard and are always eager to please, they are always smiling too. They are there to help you with your every request. The hotel is walking distance to the Malecon. Also try to Blue Shrimp Restaurant. The popcorn shrimp are a must. They are huge. Say hello to Meguel and Ricardo for us. They are two bartenders that always have a smile and are eager to please. I just wish my vacation wasn't over. Two weeks sure flew. I'm already counting the days until next year. We miss you Buenanventura, you and all your hard working staff."

The food and drinks are outstanding, the employees are outstanding, and I hate to leave at the end of my vacation each and every time. Try the zip lining if you go, I have been 3 times and each time a different location, what a thrill. "

"We stayed at this hotel and found the front desk staff treated you well, the bartenders were entertaining and excellent, the front door men were friendly and helpful and the cleaning staff were more than cleaning staff. They were friendly, polite and made up a bed different every day. The grounds were clean, and right on the beach. it was close to The Malecon, the flea market and shopping as well as close to Brazil's which is a must go to restaurant. As well as walking distance to Carlos O'Brien's bar - another must see. We had no problems what so ever. There is a large selection of restaurants at the hotel as well as an outdoor bar and an indoor bar. The sitting area in the lobby is huge and inviting. I plan on staying there again this year. "

"The Buenaventura Grand Hotel & Spa is fantastic. I have been there twice. Once for New Years 2008, and I just returned from my wedding/honeymoon there on April 12th. I can't say enough good things about the hotel and staff. The food was delicious, the rooms immaculate (everything is brand new), the location can't be beat (3 blocks from the main promenade/strip and about 15 minutes to the airport), and the value outstanding. I spent a long time researching many different hotels in Mexico to have my wedding, but unlike all the large over-crowded resorts in Puerto Vallarta, this hotel was the only one that had an intimate setting so that all our guests could spend time together while also offering an all-inclusive option and excellent location. We checked out some of the larger resorts like the Rio and Palace hotels, but they treated weddings there like an assembly line with a bride walking down the aisle every hour!!! Thanks to Carlos Bautista, the wedding/event planner at the Buenaventura, I was able to completely customize my wedding. Carlos was amazing and made sure that every last detail that I had dreamed about for my wedding came true! All of my 30 guests could not stop talking about how beautiful the wedding was, and they were thrilled with their stay there. I highly recommend this hotel for a vacation and especially to celebrate your wedding. Make sure you ask for Carlos! Oh... and if you need a photographer Josef Kandoll W. is exceptional!"

"First of all I would like to thank you for taking the time to send your comments of your stay at Buenaventura Grand Hotel & Spa, I have noticed that you experienced certain inconveniences during your stay with us. Above all, we would like to apologize for this situation.
I’m glad to let you know that we just finished a remodeling process with a total cost of 6 million dollars and right now we are offering first class facilities and of course service.
We have renovated complete the pool area with updated floor and paths featuring pebble stones and luxury lounge chairs and umbrellas. Our Deluxe rooms are featuring flat screen TV’s, mini bars, coffee makers, new furniture, decoration and bathroom amenities. Our main restaurant, Frutas & Flores, has received a larger terrace, new furniture, décor, illumination and air-conditioning, along with several options for breakfast, lunch and dinner with buffet service. Our newest restaurant, The Steak House “Rodisso”, is featuring a la carte dining and offer guests only the finest cuts of steak.
We have also completed major reconstruction of our main Lobby and Lobby Bar; we also add a new Business Center with four computers, print, scan, fax services and a Hospitality Room with two plasma TV’s and air conditioning for the convenience of our guests. Lastly our Beach Club – Sunset restaurant and our SPA are received a major improvement in facilities, with new illumination and state-of the art décor.
We truly hope in the near future you can give us the opportunity to show you again our great service and of course be able to enjoy our outstanding renowned facilities.
