There are not enough adjectives in the world to describe how perfect this resort is. It was both my me and my fiancé's first time staying in Mexico and decided on Peurto Vallarta and eventually the Velas Vallarta All Inclusive Resort. Every place will have negative reviews so you're always worried the place won't be great. All I have to say is do not listen to a word of anyone who would not give this place 5 stars. The beauty, location, staff and service was all top notch. As soon as we arrived... Read more

We having coming to this hotel for 8 years. The personnel, food and the hotel is great. My only complaint is they need to change the hotel shows more often. Since we coming here it's the same shows over And over. The food menu it's also the same. It's a great place to relax and meet the staff and have fun.

I don't often go to a resort that doesn't have some kind of issue....but this place was AMAZING! Having said that I will say that the beach wasn't the best but that is not the fault of the resort. The pool was a great alternative... It was always clean and warm! Our room was very nice. It was clean and comfortable. Cleaning staff was wonderful. They even leave chocolates when they turn down your bed!! The grounds are beautiful. It was like a little slice of paradise. Immaculately groomed... Read more

Puerto Vallarta is one of my favorite places in the Western Hemisphere. It offers mountains, a quiet mexican town and the sea. A 20min. bus ride will take you to Sayulita which is one of the areas best surf locations, and 20min. the other direction will take you downtown. Vellas Vallarta is only 5 min. from the airport, but only a couple of times did I hear the planes overhead. A classic resort, they offer daily activities in the pool as well as in the beautiful lobby and they also have 3 great ... Read more

We just got back from 3 nights at Velas Vallarta and had a great time. Service was excellent and food was very good too. The staff was extremely friendly and always willing to accommodate all of your needs. We have done 5-6 all-inclusives before and this was some of the best food we have experienced. We would definitely travel back in the future. BTW, we did not bring our children on this quick getaway but would in the future since it was very kid friendly.

We stayed in a beautiful three bedroom suite in mid-May and loved it. The weather was perfect, the resort wasn't over crowded since it was technically "off season". The pools and beach were clean and awesome including the resort employees who couldn't have been nicer. We bought the all inclusive package which included everything from the restaurants, room service, and a generous selection of items which were kept stocked in our mini-fridge. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite with refrigerator, stove and coffee pot. Snacks, bottled water, cereals, soda, beer are restocked daily and if there is anything you want just call for it. Casino night is fun, there is a fiesta once a week, singers at the restaurants at night and a different show each night. They have yoga each morning, water aerobic... Read more

This was our first time at this resort and our entire family loved it. I was completely blown away by the staff, I have never been cared for so well before - and I am well travelled! My husband and I have dietary restrictions so the menu and buffet was a bit limiting, but after mentioning our needs to the staff they provided us a custom menu each day for us to choose from. WOW! We would definitely like to return again, how can we not with people that treat us so well?!

This place is a little trickier to review, so I'll rate in sections. Accommodations 3.5 stars: Let's face it. This is an older property and definitely in need of an upgrade. The kitchen cabinets definitely need a facelift, but the bathrooms are fairly modern. Bathrooms are a little small because if someone is standing in front of the sink (or using the toilet), there is a chance you'll hit the other person. The beds were comfortable and sheets clean. There was a distinct odor when we arrived. ... Read more

I went to Puerto Vallarta for the first time with Mom my a couple of weeks ago. Overall, the hotel is was beautiful, the pool and other facilities were clean and perfect, and the all-inclusive food and drinks were delicious. We loved that the hotel was so close to the airport. At first, we were worried that the airplanes would be too loud, but I only noticed two planes the 4 full days we were at the resort. Even then, they weren't loud.
