As a first time visitor to PV (May 14th-18th), I was a little apprehensive of what the hotel would be like. The hotel is beautiful. As SPG Lifetime Gold, I would like to have been given a better upgrade upon arrival, as the hotel was not fully booked, the upgrade I did get was just a normal room from partial-ocean view to full-ocean view. The room was good, roomy overlooking the ocean but as I was celebrating my 10yr Wedding Anniversary, I wanted a little more. After inquiring about an upgra... Read more

I just returned from a 4 day vacation at this hotel. I must say that the hotel is just beautiful but I was very disappointed to find out that the hotel was doing reconstruction/remodeling of the children's swimming pool. I planned this trip to relax near the pool side and listen to the tropical birds and the sound of the waves, but instead had to hear the sound of drilling into concrete, etc. I under stand the renovation project will take about 3 months to complete, so be aware. We stayed in this hotel in the rainy season of July. The hotel itself is very nice and clean and the rooms are large with balconies and huge bathrooms. The only thing is that we asked for a King sized bed beforehand and they ended up giving us two double beds or trying to upsell us to suite with an outdoor jacuzzi. The beach itself is not super nice and we spent most of the time in the pool area. We took a bus ride (maybe not advisable unless you are adventurous) to the city and had dinner at Ca... Read more

The lobby has recently been remodeled and looks fresh, some of the pictures we found online did not reflect these upgrades and we were concerned that this property would feel dated. Of course it's apparent from the style of the buildings that this is not the newest resort but most major touch points have been addressed with the exception of the elevators which are a little slow. The lobby leads to a "shopping gallery" which is bordered on one side by a lobby bar with open air windows with flowin... Read more

The swimming pool is the biggest I've ever seen, yet well maintained & clean. They have a lot of activities, a bar in the pool, & a net for water volleyball. There are clean white towels in the pool area and very comfortable beds & reclinable chairs to sunbathe, read a book, and/or people watch. The service is exceptional!!! This hotel was OK. The pool was not great because the floor is not leveled and so it was hard to walk in. There is a swim-up bar, but hard to get out of it with the drinks as the pool gets quite deep on the way out (there is a shallower way out, but usually people are standing there and it is hard to go through, the space is limited for standing near the swim up bar. WiFi is not free in the room, at this day and age it is quite upsetting to have to pay for it. Breakfast was included and very goo... Read more

Have stayed here twice and both times it was excellent. The location to the marina is ideal as there are lots of shops and restaurants there. If you wish to go downtown, its a short cab ride or the bus picks you up right in front of the hotel. The only knock is that the rooms are a bit dated and need a refresh.

If you need to watch your kids you can find some place in a nearby garden or in cabanas worth 30 usd, you have to arrive early because there are only three from which you can see the kids, that if you are willing to pay the 30 usd. We stayed just one night at the Westin before our week long stay next door at Club Regina. The room was was beautiful with a gorgeous view of the pools and ocean. The SPG lounge was great for an evening drink & snack and the breakfast in the morning was great. Even though we were at the Regina for the week it was basically on the same grounds & we dined at the restaurants at the Westin. All the food was amazing! We really enjoyed the service and the wonderful food. We stepped on the beach and m... Read more

The Westin was wonderful. We were there for my nephew's wedding and they coordinated the whole wedding and reception. The Westin itself was a great place to stay. I would recommend this resort to any going to Puerto Vallarta

I had a wonderful visit to this resort. Beautiful grounds, great customer service, delicious food by the ocean and at Arrerifes, a seafood & steakhouse. The top floor had an amazing view. My complaints were that the building was under construction and no advance notice was provided about the noise. As a minor issue, I wanted to enjoy the beach but was interrupted many times by vendors. As a beach snob, I suggest reviewing the weather and how the rainy season is going prior to your visit if clar... Read more

This is a big resort hotel, we were there in low season (October) and we have nothing to complain about. 3 pools, several restaurants, a small private beach. Stay in a top story room for a fantastic view. The thing that impressed me the most is the service, they really do an excellent job, especially considering that this is not in the US: everybody without exception goes out of their way to please you. Tip: the marina has several excellent restaurants and it's only a 10 minute walk.

terrific location away from the bustle of the city and traffic. Perfect for a get away for a family or conference. Beach and pools are on the property. Pools are big with 4 areas to swim. Two of the pools have their own food/bar facilities.

Located in Vallarta's Marina, 10 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from both downtown and Nuevo Vallarta, this is a great option to stay and relax without paying a high rate. The hotel design is very nice and you can enjoy great views from top floor and the restaurant. The staff is not the best but there are some that really look into giving you a good service. Rooms are clean and neat and with great air condition.

This place is old and moldy, literally. I'm an SPG Platinum member so we are on the 14th floor with a "view". Room is awful, old, sticky from outdated air conditioning. The bed sheets feel like sand paper. Don't stay here, find a better option.

Great hotel and great service as usual from any SPG Hotel. Just this time it wasn't as good as usual but everything fine. This time the bathroom wasn't as clean as usual and the suite wasn't assigned to us as asked on my SPG platinum membership. The hotel feels a little old.

Location, Location, Location. Right across from the marina. Easy walking distance to the marina plaza area with all the restaurants and shops. Strategically located further north taking advantage of the sea breeze. Hotels closer to town without that breeze seem 10 degrees hotter. Overall I have nothing but good things to say about my stay at the PV Westin. The customer service from the time I arrived to the time I left was impeccable. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The beds and pillows I wi... Read more

The location is nice. On the beach, near the harbor and near the airport. However, the hotel is severely dated and needs to be redone. The architecture is kinda interesting. Weird, but interesting. The staff however, is poor. They need to fire the staff and completely redo the hotel to enter the 21st century. My issue was the front desk. Slow check in. I'm SPG and they had staff, but the staff was slow and unresponsive. Then, we had a friend come visit, and they kept her waiting at the front... Read more

Palm trees everywhere, literally 100s. The pool is magnificent with blue tile and islands, with a swim up bar. The was the most beautiful of the hotels I saw in Puerto Vallarta. The services is great, and saw a turtle laying her eggs at midnight on the beach.

Special thanks go to Josefina and ESPECIALLY Danny at the front desk for all of there help straightening out our reservation problems (made by our travel agent). They were super accommodating and helpful. Miguel and the rest of the staff at the beach bar were wonderful. I had booked this location for my first time visiting Puerto Vallarta in september. After an amazing experience and the wonderful hospitality received by the staff, I can say with confidence that I will return to this location. Dannae and Rolando at the Front Desk were amazing! They were professional and knowledgeable of the area. On our first night, Rolando was able to make reservations to the infamous La Leche restaurant. The following days, Dannae and the wonderful staff prepared a surprise ... Read more

Our family stayed here for 2 nights using spg points (only 7000 points per free night which is pretty "cheap" for a resort property) ... since it was so few points I didn't have super high expectations but was pleasantly surprised! Pros: Pools! Wow- tons of pool space, shallow areas good for kids, hot tub, swim up bar, shaded and sunny spots. Also tons of lounge chairs, both in the shade and sun so no trouble getting a good spot. The music is on around the bigger pools for the better part of ... Read more
