This posada is lovely, accessible, safe and very welcoming. It is right on the popular Basilio Badillo, two blocks from the beach and near excellent restaurants, galleries, and all amenities. Excellent value, and even provides a full communal kitchen and a rooftop pool.

We stayed one night at Posada de Roger on our way back to NC rom a week retreat at Chacala Mar de Jade. Comfortable old style hotel around a courtyard. Helpful staff. We had a 3rd floor room in the back. No elevator but staff helped with bags. Hotel has a community kitchen on top floor front for guests. In old town Puerto Vallarta with many restaurants, pharmacy, money exchange, etc. within a block. Room was small with 2 beds, adequate bath. We were told breakfast was bery good, though we had t... We have stayed at Posada de Roger every year for over 12 years. The staff speak English and are very helpful, the property is clean, quaint, safe and located right in the heart of Old Town, perfect for shopping and exploring the area with the beach and malacon a short 5 minute walk away.

Then this place is for you! Noisy at all hours. Thin walls, dare not get a room on the street. Bring earplugs! Also, Could use much TLC , ESP. BANOS! Tall guys, watch out for very low entrance to your bathroom. Headwounds if not cautious. Love that parrot. But mam is he noisy! I had to move on, exhausted.

For those of you who can't do a lot of walking this is the perfect hotel for you. We asked for a first floor room as steps or steps without railings are not my fortay. On the same block is bingo on wednesdays, choices of elegant dinning or noises yuppie hangouts. Venture one block farther and have trivia, bunko, a dinner theatre , NFL packer palace and other sports, full liquor store, a jewelry store I don't trust myself to walk in and a dentist I've used. So stay here and your entire vacat... Read more

We've been to PV many times and love staying in the Romantic Zone for all the Great Local Restaurants. After reading all the reviews, I thought we'd give it a try. We stayed here for the first 9 days of the New Year. As many have said, The Location is Great! But the noise level is terrible. The Building is shared with The Toucan Restaurant and it is open on the East Side (NO WALL) so you start hearing everything around 7am. The other issue is the windows to the room are louvered, allowing much m... Read more

I was close to everything staying here, and in the best neighbourhood. I loved the decor, plants and flowers on the patio and courtyard. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The communal kitchen and pool were nice to have for use. The restaurants all beside and nearby were the best.
