Location is about the best part of this hotel. It was extremely loud all night every night we were there. The ladies at the front desk were not too friendly.Seemed they were much nicer to guests they already knew from previous visits.

The place is beautiful, flowers all aroud!!! Belive it when it says is a real mexican style hotel, it really is!!! I do not have any complains about it, I actually enjoy my stay... But just you know its not a luxury american hotel. I like the idea of being that way, because I went to know Mexico and its culture. The place its very clean and friendly staff! Its very accesible, there are lots of restaurant close by and the beach its about two blocks away. My only complain is that they dont have an... Read more

Second time staying at this wonderful place. As everyone has already stated, the staff is always smiling and willing to do anything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The rooms are on the basic side but who goes on vacation to stay in a room. Great location as there are plenty of restaurants nearby and the beach is a short distance away by foot.

This is a wonderful place to stay in Puerto Vallarta. It is clean, comfortable, quiet, and very cost-effective. The staff is incredibly accomodating and kind (thanks to German for all of his wonderful help and recommendations). Good pool, huge kitchen. This hotel had everything we wanted in a place to stay, and it had the best price in town for the location and the ammenities. There is no question -- when we are in Puerto Vallarta again, we will definitely stay at the Hotel Posada Roger.

From street level this looks nothing much, however once you enter and arrive in the courtyard you begin to realise why it has the reviews it has! The courtyard is full of trees, plants, flowers and feels cool and fresh. The staff are polite, and the rooms as has been previously said are basic but comfortable - who goes on holiday to spend the time in the room?! We only slept and washed there, otherwise as the location is so close to the beach and restaurants, we walked and explored daily. We... Read more

This hotel met all our expectations. This was our 11th trip to Puerto Vallarta having stayed all inclusive in the hotel zone. Never again. We had a room on the second floor with a balcony and an awesome air conditioning unit. All the staff worked hard and said hello with a smile. This location is everything with many places to enjoy a meal at. Freddy's Toucan which was attached to the building offered great breakfasts. It was so nice to walk to the clubs and bars at all times of the night safel... Read more

Such a cute hotel and so affordable! The rooms were bright and clean and the AC was awesome! Loved the courtyard and pool and the staff was wonderful! We had a third floor room so bags can be a bit much but they do have someone to help you if you ask. Loved our balcony, small but above all the action with a view of the mountains. super close to the beach and Malecon. Restaurant olla right across the street and down a few doors was amazing! This part of PV has so much character and I just loved i... Read more

The hotel is good for what we paid. The rooms are good sized, the air conditioner works well, and the location is perfect. However, the bed we had was really old (I could feel every spring), and the service was lacking, IMO. For example, there was only one umbrella by the pool but about 10 chairs. I asked one of the workers if he could bring out another umbrella because it was hot. He responded that they didn't have any and kept on walking. I later went to the reception area and asked if they ha... Read more

Stayed here for 7 days in May 2016 and I thought it was a great spot, especially for the money I paid. Outside of going to and from the airport I never needed to take a taxi anywhere because of how centrally located the property was. Bars, clubs, restaurants and the beaches are all within a 2-5 min walk outside the front door. Although I did not take advantage of it, they do provide tour arrangements at the front desk. The front desk was very polite and all were bilingual. They provide purified... Read more

This hotel is right in Old Town which is the best place to be to be near restaurants and the action. It's clean, the staff are wonderful, the rooftop view of the mountains reminds me of being in Los Angeles. It's not all inclusive and not luxury. It's for regular people who don't want to spend a fortune on a hotel and who want to eat the local food which is the divine. There is a restaurant attached to this hotel -- perfect. I will never stay anywhere else when visiting PV. Btw, PV is magical.

This quaint and charming hotel is central to everything and it is soooooo clean! I've stayed in many "boutique" hotels in Vallarta that I liked very much. The innkeepers here definitely raise the bar by making their rooms not only clean but attractive and homey as well.

Had a great week-long stay at Posada de Roger. Level of service is impeccable. Room cleanliness is first rate too. Very centrally located in the heart of the romantic zone/old town. I would highly encourage anyone who appreciates boutique hotels to stay at de Roger. The bang for the buck is superb. And the breakfast restaurant downstairs is superb as well. Elouin in the restaurant is great, and Dario and his crew at the hotel are very good too! The wifi worked very well, from all locatio... Read more

Nice room, very Mexican hotel....not like those US hotels in Nuevo Vallarta and the Marina...this is Mexico!!!!....very nice staff work there....If you want to experience some Mexican culture stay here...close to all: great restaurants, bars, gay bars (many), Zona Romantica where all the good art galleries, etc are...the heart of the city.

We adored our stay at hotel posada de roger! We stayed two nights in different rooms and each room was clean, well kept and quiet. The grounds are beautiful, with flowers everywhere. The location is great as well; it's only two short blocks from the beach. Very safe area, even late at night. Very happy with our stay!

Was only in town for one night and just wanted a cheap place to sleep. The grounds were really nice. The rooms were clean but in need for a serious make over. The service was great. If you are not expecting much from a room you will not be disappointed. Very much an old school Mexican hotel. I would stay again if it was just myself

Great budget option for those wishing to experience PV. The room was overall clean and everything worked well (albeit older technology). The staff were helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. I would definitely stay there again without hesitation.

As others have said, this is a very Mexican hotel. The rooms are small and basic. I asked to have a small refrigerator put in my room (cost $5 per day). The frig was placed on top of one of the bedside tables because that was where one of the plugs were. The staff was very friendly and helpful. On the day we checked out, we wanted our taxi to the airport to make a stop in between. The receptionist came out and explained to the driver what we wanted to do. The location is great. Glad this place continues to be a hidden gem. Excellent service and very friendly staff. Hello to Doña Rosa who cleaned my room and even left flowers in my night stand. The hotel is near everything you want to eat and everything you want to do. There is a restaurant right next do for those that love an early breakfast. There is also an excellent bakery across the street. Can't wait to go back and stay at this hidden gem again.

My husband and I, stayed at this Hotel 5 nights and we would definitely come back if we go back to Puerto Vallarta. What we loved beside the rooms and the patio, is the service. Rossi is fantastic. She arranged several tours before we went there and also during our stay. We went to Isla Majahuitas and Yelapa with Puerto Vallarta Advertures, we also did the one with the Pirate boat at night and another one to Islas Marietas. We just told her what we felt like doing and she contacted all the compa... Read more

We have stayed here twice, 5 years apart. Both times everything was great. It is a budget hotel, so the furniture, etc is spartan (but we did have a new TV and AC unit). Rosy at the desk was super helpful. The location is in the heart of the Romantic Zone, which is the older downtown, and about 5 minutes from the beach. Dozens of restaurants in the area including a great breakfast place on the main floor. A small rooftop pool for a quick dip, and a nice funky courtyard to have a coffee and plan ... Read more

The staff at Hotel Posada de Roger were wonderful. The days leading up to our visit, I was in contact with the hotel to let them know that my husband and I will be celebrating our first wedding anniversary. It was our first time in Puerto Vallarta, and we only spent three nights there. I wanted to be sure that we were spending our long weekend there effectively and efficiently! Dario was very responsive with any questions I had. He even gave us instructions on how to use the local bus system so ... Read more
