"The resort was very beautiful, all the rooms are ocean view. When you walk out of your room, there is a beautifull view of the mountains and the city. The resort is only 10 min from downtown. The staff was very polite, friendly and helpfull. Food was good espicially the Italian restaurant and Castaways. The CocoBay coffee cafe was outstanding!

There is a shopping center within 2 miniute of walking distance from the hotel where you can find massage salons and get a greate massage - 75 minutes for $20 only!!!

The only thing we didnt like about our hotel is that it was too far from Nuevo Vallarta, where many activities are. 30 min by taxi each way was very costly for us.

It would be great if the hotel management could find a way to organize a complimentary shuttels to go to Nuevo Vallarta every hour or so, then everyone would want to stay at Now Amber Beach Resort and Spa because it is one of the best!

"The hotel was wonderful, since the moment we checked in everything was excelent, service great; staff was very friendly, food always available and very good quality. the Italian Restaurant was exquisit... like few I have tried.
Our vacation was a wondeful experience there. I became a member for the UVC because we definitly like to go back to any of the chain hotels. Next one will be Cancun or Dominican Republic."

"The resort was beautiful and very modern, the staff was very friendly and helpful. After the first day, the staff knew our name! Unfortunately, not all the restaurants were open daily. We were unable to try the Mexican restaurant. Overall, the food varied from good to great, portion was just the right size - not supersized like the american restaurants. Overall, I would recommend the resort for its cleaniness, facilities, location and food."

"my wife and I stayed at the Resort and Spa for our 25th anniversary and it was beautiful!

Things we did not like:

When we first got to the hotel we were met with an advertisement opportunity right off the bat. We were asked if we would be interested in hearing about an opportunity to be a member with the resort. I have/we have all seen the promotion (time share ) thing before, so the wife and I quickly said we were not interested. We were asked several times why, and pretty much pressured into attending (in my opinion). We spent the majority of the next morning going through the advertisement 'special' . THEY NEED TO CHANGE THAT!!! Not my way to start off my vacation/anniversary celebration.

The air-conditioning was a problem the whole time I was there. Was told it was fixed and it was not. It kept going in and out the whole time we were there. Not a good thing when the temps were near 100 degrees and the humidity about 80-90%.

Now the good stuff, and there is plenty!

the whole staff at the resort was very polite and kind.

I can not say enough about the location! What a view! When you walk into the lobby you will be stunned by the magnificent view of the ocean. There is a bar in the lobby and waiters everywhere ready to lend you hand, give you advice and directions.....

The rooms are just as stunning (get the ocean view)! We had the Junior suite which came with a whirlpool deep tube and walk in shower.

Go on the tour of the city trip!! If you can, do this first! You will learn where to go as well as the history of the city. The wife and I walked to the boardwalk (local shopping area) and we had no worries. There were police officers everywhere we went. Just in case you where concerned about the safeness of the area.

We will diffidently stay there again.

O' before I forget, if you have children then stay in the Now and if you don't, stay in Secrete. They are joined together (same hotel), but the Now is more focused on the family and Secrete is more adult oriented.

That is my two cents!"

"My husband and I went for the first time to Puerta Vallarta. We had read the reviews and agree that the hotel was beautiful. We enjoyed the Pacific ocean view and breeze as soon as we stepped out of the taxi. You can see the ocean from pretty much anywhere in the hotel.

The hotel is brand new, contemporary modern design with travertine tiled floors, marble counters, and new gleaming surfaces. We felt pampered in the Preferred Guest tower where you can enjoy your own jacuzzi tub on your balcony. We liked room service and did that every morning for breakfast.
The bathroom was modern and had a walk in shower that was huge - big enough for 2 and a nice soaker tube that was separate. The room had a minibar stocked with Mexican Coca Cola and some snacks.

We loved the food and the restaurants provided variety and gave us a chance to dress up. The only problem we encountered was that the food service was hit or miss - one night you may get your courses quickly and efficiently while other times you may wait hours to complete your meal. That seems to be a problem that is due to the newness of the hotel or maybe understaffing?

Regardless, we had a great time, and didn't even leave the resort to do anything else because the entertainment department had plenty of activities there in the resort."

"We just got back and it was a beautiful all-inclusive resort with friendly staff. It was our first time in Mexico and we didn't know what to expect. You felt pampered from the moment you arrived. The food was excellent as well! Would highly recommend!"

"This hotel was amazing. My family and I have been going to beaches in Mexico for more than 10 years and this one by far is the best one. The location was great and the food amazing. "Over all our trip was amazing the hotel staffs are friendly&courteous in their service.Our room has still that concrete smell i have to buy airfreshner to get rid of that smell.I know the hotel is new but they should do something about it(hope my review helps).Food was good to great but the restaurants are inconsistent with their dress code.I didn't pack a pair of longpants for this trip mostly shorts knowing the weather over there but one day in their daily hotel sked printout the italian restaurant(w/c is im looking forward to try coz im italian ) was just casual dress code so we went but to our surprise we couldn't get in 'coz of my attire, we were bummed in a way....they said they made a mistake in their print!...hopefully they will look into this,its is minor but its part of customer service,customers shouldn't suffer for their mistake.This is the only flaw in our stay but other than that everything was great!its worth our while:)"

"Resort was very beautiful, great service, staff was very helpfull and friendly. Great variety of restoraunts, food was exceptional. Very helpfull excess to Wi-Fi in premisses and coffee shop opens from early morning to late evening with a free excess to Internet. Interteinment in lobbies was very pleasant.

Very nice place for vacation for families with kids and also for people who choose for only adults place. We would recommend this resort for vacation or family events."
