we checked into Los Arcos Suites for a 14 day stay on April 9th. As requested we received a top floor pool view room. From the time we stepped out of our taxi the prompt and friendly service began. Saoul , the doorman met us and took our luggage in to the picturesque lobby. I am sorry that I do not remember the gentleman that was at the front desk but he was very kind. Boni , the Chief Butler met us with ice cold water and welcomed us to the hotel. we were pleased with the bedroom area of our ro... Read more

This hotel gives you access to two other hotel pools. On is right on the beach. The help were friendly and helpful. Big fluffy towels. We will go back. Price was better than Los Arcos playa. Location of the suites is better quite when you want quite.

I've previously stayed at Playa Los Arcos several times. This time I upgraded to Los Arcos Suites, with all the amenities of Playa Los Arcos still available. I'll definitely be returning for another delightful stay!

Hotel is nice and well located, able to use Playa Arcos facilities and Dona Susanna (across the road), quite location and handy to great restaurants, shopping, beach and Wharf for boat trips or to get to coastal islands.

The hotel is economical and has a great location - a short walk to the beach, restaurants and shopping. The hotel has two sister hotels (one across the street) and one on the beach. If you don't need to be on the beach, the great thing is that you still have access to all of the facilities and services. We took advantage of the free chairs and umbrellas on the beach. We also ate in the restaurant a few times during our stay. The room was very clean, air-conditioned and good free WiFi. The only c... Read more

Los Arcos Suites are part of a cluster, which also includes a beach front hotel, around the corner and a boutique hotel opposite. The facilities of all three are open to all residents. The beach front hotel has lots of pools, a restaurant, bars and the beach; it tends to be used by younger people and families. It is sunny but a bit noisy with music. If you prefer a quieter location, the rooftop pool in the boutique hotel is available or the smaller pool in the Suites, which tends to be a bit sha... Read more

Although parking was free, it was in a municipal parking garage 2 blocks away from the hotel. I had to ask several times where my vehicle had been taken by the staff on check-in. The desk clerk on check-in was not very friendly and complacent but that is common Mexican service.

Persons considering this hotel should also examine reviews of associate properties Casa Dona Susana (across the street) and Playa Los Arcos - beach front hotel of the three locations involved. Stayed for one week at the Casa Dona Susana which is the 42 room "boutique" hotel but had numerous occasions to visit this hotel. It, like the Dona Susana does not host its own bar or restaurant facilities and is one block from the beach. The biggest plus for this locale would be having larger rooms and... Read more

We have spent many a wonderful vacation at Los Arcos Suites. Although not fancy, the rooms are clean and well kept, and the staff super friendly. Lovely lobby pool, and you can use the rooftop pool across the street at the sister hotel, or at the beachside pool at Los Arcos.

My boyfriend and I went to PV for a long weekend getaway. It was our first time visiting Puerto Vallarta and we had an amazing time. The location is perfect!! It's a very short walk (2 blocks) to the beach and walking distance to several restaurants, bars, shops, etc. We always felt safe and comfortable in the area and highly recommend getting out to explore. There were many little touches that you won't get at a large hotel chain - a warm welcome "home" and they decorated our room for my bi... Read more

The staff was really nice and accommodating. We wanted an upper floor room and stayed on the ground floor the first night but the staff was more than accommodating and promptly swapped our room out the second day so that we could be on the same floor as the rest of our family. It was really awesome to have a refrigerator in the room and loved having a balcony with a table and chairs. The pool was nice and access to the Playa Los Arcos beach and pools was terrific. In the middle of Zona Romantica, 100 metres along a narrow cobblestone street from the beach in Down Town Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We had a junior suite and all-inclusive food and beverages from the close-by 'same owner' resort which fronts the beach. The area is much quieter than Cabo or Cancun, very friendly, and had no obvious sleaze. It's very safe (lots of friendly tourist police), obviously gay-friendly, and featuring numerous casual bars and restaurants serving cheap food and beverages. I... Read more

The reason I say the price does not do Suites Los Arcos justice is that some travelers might exclude the Suites because the price is not that much above an average place to just hang your hat. The Suites Los Arcos (Let me just call it the SLA for the rest of the review) is probably the nicest place I have stayed this year, including my hotel in London which is a 3ish star trying hard to get to a 4. Was placed in this hotel on arrival as we were booked in across the road at Casa Dona Susana, that was closed for renovation - not told until we arrived. Big room (407) Clean. Great location. Older style. 3 min walk to the beach. Surrounded by places to eat. Friendly staff. Very noisy air-conditioner. Had to sleep with ear plugs in. 4 levels. Had stairs and lift. Room has a slight ocean view. The pool gets some sun during a certain part of the day.

I stayed here only because my reservation at Casa dona Susana could not be honored--CDS was under renovation and not open. It was an unpleasant surprise, but overall. Los Arcos Suites is very nice and a fine place to stay if you don't mind sharing the (small) pool with kids.

Hard to beat for the price. All 3 properties are authentic Mexico and yeah, the food could be improved, but it is perfectly adequate and the evening entertainment was a big plus - the kids loved dancing and running around and the entertainers were very tolerant. Our original reservation was at Casa Dona Susana, but because of the renovations we were moved to the Suites, which was fine. We did check out the rooftop pool at CDS, which would have been a nice...another time!

Please note that I've probably stayed here 20 times! The rooms are large "mini-suites" with separate living areas where extra guests (kids?) can stay and the adults can still have some space. The kitchenettes are just enough to get by, but nothing fancy. On vacation that is fine with me! The beds are comfortable, and the air conditioners (not much control over them though) keep the rooms plenty cool as well as block outside ambient noises at night. The rooms are cleaned daily by reliable staff. ... Read more

Last year was the first time I was in PV for Halloween and was amazed. This year I brought glow sticks for all the kids. Los Arcos is the best hotel in the area. While I'm still interested in the Casa Dona experience, we loved our entire time in our giant comfortable room. I would like to start by saying that if you are looking for a "5 Diamond Resort" you will not find it here. With that said, Los Arcos Suites are quite a lovely, very traditional hotel. Yes it needs some updating in their rooms, but when you are on vacation is it the room that really matters the most as long as it is clean? Some of the reviews on here will say that it is noisy... perhaps it is because it is located in the city and that can be expected for city life. Again, if you are looking for ... Read more

It was our anniversary and also a reward graduation trip for our granddaughter and the end of a dental vacation for our daughter.
