For 7.5 pesos you hop on the bus just steps from the hotel and in a few minutes you reach the promenade and central trendy touristy part of town. Staff at Las Palmas were friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean, if somewhat dated in its decor, but our stay was quite enjoyable. No need for high-priced swanky surroundings. We will be returning to Las Palmas, without question.

Las palmas by the sea is and older type of hotel with only one elevator, is small and need to be updated a bit . But don't let that stop you to go there is very charming perfect location close to everything you need, super-clean, super- friendly staff this hotel work like a clock well coordinated . Food is good and have taste the variety is not the best if you compare it to big resorts. if you want a clean place not to expensive very secured good food and the best staff ever , this is the o... The staff are very friendly and helpful BUT the place is full of people who probably purchase their holiday as a family trip, so you will see mum, dad, daughter, son, aunt, uncle, grandma, cousin, half cousin.... Nothing against that but the place was really busy... Not what you need when you want to have a relaxing holiday. Unfortunately there was a big family staying next to us and they made a lot of noise till late some nights. Also their phone kept ringing during mornings and nights... Read more

A friend and I spent a wonderful 12 days in Puerto Vallarta January 10 thru the 22 2016. Las Palmas all inclusive resort was the perfect place for us! We spent our mornings at the resort and enjoyed a fantastic breakfast in their open air restaurant. During the early afternoon we used the fantastic Puerto Vallarta bus system to go on adventures. We visited the Botanical Gardens, Boca de Tomatlan, Yelapa in a water taxi, El Rio BBQ restaurant, and of course the Malecon. Our favorite place for a m... Read more

Cons: the hotel is run down. The patio door to my room had issues opening, closing & locking. The safe in my room was broken. Very noisy & loud. I could hear everyone and everything in the rooms around me. The bed was hard like a rock. This place is for young families and young adults. More of a party atmosphere. The food is ok. The staff is so-so. I didn't find them friendly. The on-site excursion/timeshare hustlers were obnoxious and aggressive. Pros: their beach location is beautiful, it's... Read more

This resort is a bit older, but good for the price I paid. As others had mentioned, the beds are hard, but I like a firm bed, so was ok for me. The room was clean and comfortable. The buffet was pretty good, had the same things after a few nights but was always able to find something to eat. The breakfast was good, omelette station and pancake station were great. The staff at the pool bar were great.

We were excited to go to Mexico for an all-inclusive vacation as we have been to other places before and had a blast! The vacation was disappointing on many levels, some of which were not the fault of the resort... But some pertained to the resort itself. The following sums it up... PROS: The staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean, the resort was in a nice location, great Oceanview from our room, no mosquitoes, GREAT adult pool only and they were very quick to enforce the rules when c... At the outset, I want to emphasize that the entire staff (from the front desk, to the waiters, to the bartenders, to the cleaning staff) were very polite, friendly, and helpful -- which isn't always the case at some resorts. The view from the property was nice, looking south towards Centro and the beaches along the old town section of Puerto Vallarta. Food selection was better than expected too, so that was a nice surprise, and everything was kept clean in the outdoor areas. Unfortunately, ... Read more

My best friend and I stayed at Las Palmas for a week at the end of June and I can only say good things about my experience. The hotel was clean and the pools were great. Best of all were the amazing staff at the resort! David and Edgar were our favourite bar staff, they always made sure our drinks were full and were incredibly friendly. Our room was always clean and we were made to feel welcome wherever we went. I cannot say enough good things about the entertainment staff at the resort, they ... Read more

The location on the beach close to town ...you can hear the waves from your room! The food is great...they have a 5 star chef. I The drinks are excellent, try the Banana Mama , blended with fresh bananas, from David, the best bartender ever! I never had to wait , in fact often a fresh drink was served without me even asking! David would come from behind the bar and bring me a cold fresh one personally! I prefer the smaller resorts , easy to get around, unlike the huge mega resorts that you nee... Read more

Pool was not clean WIFI is extremely week, could not even connect most of the time Lizard was in our room, we also found out a couple had 2 lizards of their own Can hear noises from the room above...not well insulated Pros: Staff was very friendly Bartenders make good drinks Extra info: This hotel seems more like a place for friends then a couples retreats :)

We had to change room due to noisy AC, poor shower pressure, crack by the window (we found a small lizard climbing on the wall the first morning after our arrival) - the room they moved us into was good (Renovated with balcony and view of the ocean) The water of the pool never looked really clean properly Food didn‚??t feel so fresh ‚?? birds around it all the time (bugs as well), ‚??a la carte‚?? restaurant under construction; they sent us to a restaurant downtown, I got really sick after (th... Staff is very friendly. Walking distance to many restaurants and shops. It was really a nice visit. In the evenings, just sat on the sea wall and watched the ocean and fireworks. A short bus trip to go to the malecon, .80cents. either way. Walk to mall or Walmart (wear comfortable shoes, if Walmart).

Cons- Needs updating, in bad need of repairs to bring it up to par, normally tire of food after 1 1/2 weeks but tired of this after only 2 days, no guacamole or salsa to be found, air conditioning almost non existent, lots of kids, entertainment done almost entirely in Spanish, access to pool difficult for anyone with disabilities, disco near this hotel is going till past 4am and can keep you awake Pros- Staff are excellent, clean, adult only swimming pool and hot tub which is enforced, grounds ... Had the best vacay here. Great staff they learned my name within a couple hours of my arrival, super friendly. great service at the restaurant, buffet and bars. Amazing pina coladas. Adult pool was awesome, met lots of very nice locals and a nice few fellow Canadians. Spent very little time in the "outdated" rooms so that was a non factor, im only in there to sleep, eyes closed, problem solved. Rooms serviced well everyday, clean. The only "off" thing is little gnats converging around the settle... Read more

For the money found this resort to be just great. Lovely having an ocean view and everything so convenient. Enjoyed the food. Staff very friendly. Resort was kept clean. Entertainment was mostly in Spanish, so it would have been better if we spoke Spanish. Shopping was close by. Beds were hard. Found out too late, that we could have asked for a foam topper. Room a fair size. Have to pay for use of the safe. All & all, enjoyed my vacation. Would go back again.

We booked this hotel last minute through Transat for only six days, a short stay. Once we arrived to the hotel that is located in Puerto Vallarta and close to many amenities. We were located on a room with double beds by the elevator on the fourth floor just under the kids pool and the main palapa. The room was nice and clean but the bed too small to share with my wife. That night we each went to bed on our own bed, but the noise from the people coming out of the elevator, the kids screaming ... Read more

You get what you pay for... Found it caters to families with young children.. Lots and lots of Mexicans... Which is very fine.. . Just no service around the adult pool although bar was close so no problem.. Buffet was close as well but they did not want food to be taken out.. Food was okay but at times very low in choices.. We had to find our own knives and forks as well as napkins.. We had to get our own coffee, water and refills... Quite annoying at times.. Other times the service was... Read more

We came here for two weeks. Our room was an ocean view and very nice. Yes the hotel might be a little dated but I really don't spend too much time in my room so that doesn't really bother me. There are two pools and we were at the adult pool all the time. The family pool had several activities going on all day long which I am guessing would be great for families. The adult pool was nice and relaxing....just like I wanted. And security was on top of kicking out all the kids because hey that's w... Read more
