The location right on the beach in the Zona Romantica cannot be beat. The pools are nice. Didn't participate in the all inclusive option, however the food and drink options didn't look to be amazing. They hosted a surprise NYE party with great food, drinks and entertainment. It was a definite surprise and made for the start of a great night. The bathrooms leave something to be desired...definitely old and out of date. For a few night, however, when you spend most of your time at th... Read more

No WiFi in rooms (advertised as free). Mattress was worse than an old sofa bed. No outside guests allowed anywhere in hotel. Air conditioning was intermittent, room was stifling. Molding ceiling tile in bathroom was falling down.

I went to Puerto vallarta for Xmas vacations and i stayed in san marino hotel My stay in the hotel was quite nice ,i stayed on 7th floor which is much better if you dont want to hear kids screaming in the morning, actually its a good value for money and is next to beach and is at walking distance from centro(downtown). few tips if you are planning to choose this hotel. 1. IF you are couple,or friends without kids then it is very important to take a room on the higher floors as kids start screamin... Read more

This place is no more than a 2 star. I give it that bcs it's prime location. However if you are looking for anything that you want to feel clean and secure in, this is not the place. It's old, and very run down. It clearly needs a lot of work and maintenance that is not being done. We tried to stay out as late as possible and got up as early as possible so we can move to a different place. They only show certain pictures, which lead me to believe it's quite nice. I've attatched the "real" pictur... Read more

In 20+ years of traveling and staying in hotels I have never stayed at a worse hotel. The only people that could be marginally pleased with this hotel must not have of had much travel experience or are on an extreme budget. If you are on a budget, there must be better values. The rooms were dirty, the beds were horrible, the plumbing was bad, the AC was bad, the rooms are noisy. If you are driving here, there is virtually no place to park anywhere. I read that the service is great from anoth... Read more

I stayed here in Sept 2016 for 4 days with my wife and 4 year old boy. I'll will start by saying that this is a regular 2-3 stars hotel. When first arriving we had a hard time finding parking space, there's no parking other than the normal street sides parking, the bell boys had 2 spaces for dropping baggage and then you will need to move somewhere else for the next guests, not a big deal. Checking was fast and nice, we had a room upgrade to a suite with ocean view because hotel was all full, gr... Read more

A/c was terrible. Poor water pressure so bad showers. Slow and complicated check in. Generally well below par. Plusses were great view and location. There was sand on the floor which didn't after cleaning. This hotel seems to be focused on low cost family all inclusive deals and not on the individual. This was a last minute walk in after showing up to be told my previously booked hotel was full so I didn't get to do my usual research.

We booked this place because of the location , it's close proximity to the restaurants and bars . If you can get past the pigeons flying around the eating areas and off the tables then you'll be fine. This is probably the dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed at , the 3 stars in Cuba put this place to shame . From the front desk to the guy trying to sell you time shares in the lobby to the pool boy that wanted a tip in order to get a cushion for the loungers. The only thing this place has going for i... The lobby was comfortable and tastefully decorated There is a restaurant on the premises with indoor and outdoor seating where we had our included breakfast. Bacon and eggs, fruit, pastries and Cappuccino were among the choices. Our room was small but the bathroom was large and well appointed. It appeared that the fixtures and tile were new. There was a safe in our room. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. It is located within walking distance of San Marco, the Rialto Bridge, ... Read more

I was at San Marino for five days in Sept. 2015. The standard room we had had a great view of the city and a great view of the bay. The rooms were clean, sparse and exactly what we expected. Maid service was excellent. We were AI since it was only $6 more each for the 5 days, and had no problems with the food. Breakfast was great, we ate burgers, etc. by the pool for lunch and dinner was typical Mexico budget hotel food. We had no problems finding something to eat and/or there are many res... Read more
