From the minute we walked in, we were greeted by friendly faces. We were pleasantly surprised to see the concierge, Jose, in the front cover of the hotel brochure when were handed our room keys! So great to be greeted by actual staff used on their own brochure! We stayed in a European-style room with just the king-sized bed and bathroom as we were only here for two nights so we did not need a full kitchenette or any extra amenities but we were advised that those options were available. Staff was very nice and hotel was clean, neat, check in/out was really fast, beach front was amazing because you just walk to the beach then they have chairs and umbrellas so you can enjoy and lay down at the beach under the shade or get some tan, the view was gorgeous and It was close to all major attractions within walking distance. Restaurant was ok for breakfast NOT for LUNCH or DINNER... Stake was dry and not cooked how I asked plus It had no flavor... Its not worth to eat there but It was ... Read more

Spent 5 days and loved it. Very reasonable prices. Located in the middle off everything and great views. Spent 1st day at the beach.. Remainder at the pool. Staff is very nice. Rooms are clean and decent food. I didn't get all inclusive with so many restaurants close by. You can buy it for a day for around $30 which does include drinks all day at the pool. I will be going back there..

My husband and I stayed 3 nights at Playa Los Arcos. Our room initially was on the street and we had requested a room on the side roads by the pool. After the first night, they upgraded us to a wonderful suite, room #208. I highly recommend staying here. It gave ample space compared to the regular King size rooms and it was away from the street noise. The pools were nice, the iguana was fun, an excellent choice for a top notch location and affordable price.

Vacation trip with my family. Liked the "Old Mexico" flare, but hotel seriously needs a facelift. VERY musty smelling room & extremely dim lighting in the room; had to wash all my clothes (even those packed but not worn on the trip) and sanitize luggage when I returned home to get rid of the "musty" smell. Food was bland; internet service EXTREMELY SLOW; even lost television service for 24 hours. Hotel was bombarded with families with lots of kids which made the pool area extremely noisy; w... Los Arcos is nothing fancy clean/ perfect location to walk anywhere. Had a great time with 21 person group! The only thing I would greatly improve is food at restaurant. Yet, because of its location you can simply walk for breakfast lunch or dinner. I've been staying at this hotel for the past 5 years\!

I am a fan of old PV especially the Los Arcos area. Mt favorite resort is Playa Los Arcos with old world charm and located on the beach. Check their website for room choice and prices depending upon when you wish to stay. Best months are Jan thru May. JULY AUG AND SEPT ARE THE RAINING MONTHS. Flex time is Oct and Nov..... Dec is the holiday season so this resort will probably be very busy. On site restaurant with other restaurants located within a block or two from the hotel.

Also did not get good service in the seven days I was there in the dining area only one day out of 7 days I got the service

Our Feb stay at this hotel was very nice. The staff are very friendly, helpful and charming. The maids, bellmen, waiters, and beach waitstaff made us feel very welcomed and truly made our visit great. The location is great if you want to walk around in the older part of the city and try local cooking/shopping. The rooms, pools and grounds were keep very clean and secure. A few touches would have made our trip wonderful... We stayed in room 1 which is a room that could use some TLC. Th... Read more

Upon arrival, the clerk stated our room had only 1 king bed. We booked on where you choose the room type as 1 king or 2 double beds. After an hours time, we finally had our room. This was due to another guest overhearing our conversation and giving up their 2 double bed room. Then, the clerk tried to explain that a 2 double bed room was for only 2 occupants. We had 4 kids to stay in that room. She kept stating the room was booked on Expedia. ridiculous explanations for essentia... Read more

People considering this hotel should also review Casa Dona Susana and Los Arcos Suites properties. Stayed for a week at sister property Casa Dona Susana - boutique 42 room adult only hotel - 1/2 block away. Visited this property several times each day, primarily for breakfast and dinner. Thoroughly enjoyed meals sitting at the rail adjacent to the malecon doing people watching and having the ocean breezes cooling things off. We are not adventurous diners but found upon looking around that th... Read more

I've stayed at Los Arcos several times in the last 20 years and each time my opinion of the experience has gone down. The area around the pool stinks of chlorine and there are so many children in the pools that you can't have a relaxing time. The air conditioning in my room was not working. I asked to have someone come up and check it. A staff member came by, put his hand in front of the vent and proclaimed that it was working perfectly. It was not. I will try another place next time.

We recently stayed at Playa Los Arcos. Here are the things we loved: 1-vacationing with the Mexican locals as opposed to other tourists 2-right in the heart of things (walk to stores/shops/nightlife/restaurants) 3-very accommodating...we needed something, they were there

This hotel is on the beach and offers parking. It's location is great to walk the malecon or downtown. Los Muertos beach is good for swimming and water sports. The hotel itself isn't that great but for the price I don't think it can be beat. We didn't hand out there. The two meals we had were gross - the breakfast buffet one day and dinner another. We ordered two cocktails that were nasty. Def don't pay the all inclusive. There are soooo many great cafes and restaurants all around. Both in the f... Read more

Always good to return to Playa Los Arcos. The staff is always helpful and friendly. The atmosphere is always fun and happy, a nice family oriented place to stay. You can go all inclusive if you wish, but we loved to go see our "family" at the other fine places to eat nearby. Change $ to Pesos at the bank up the street, to get the most buying power.

DH and I went for the day at our cruise stop at port of Puerto Vallarta. We decided to take a yellow cab who charged us $15 to take us to Los Arcos. We were going to go to a namebrand hotel resort and purchase a day pass but our cabdriver Raved about Los Arcos so we thought it was worth a trip. Los Arcos is in the older part of town with El Malecon within walking distance. For $25 you get to use the pools, restrooms ( no changing room) towels available, beach access lounge chairs with umbrellas... Read more

We were not looking for a kid friendly hotel - but it really wasn't much of a bother to us at all. We did get a room on the far side with a great view of the ocean. It was quiet, the a/c was very cold and maid service was excellent. We paid for the all inclusive option and ate at the hotel restaurant many times. The food and drinks were great, but we wanted the option to go out and experience other places as well. The low cost to add on the all inclusive option didn't make us feel that we w... Read more

You can't beat Los Arcos' location. It is in a prime location and you can walk to most anything. The pools are very nice and its right on the beach. The downside? VERY LOUD. You can hear your next door neighbors, the music at the restaurant, and the people in the pool.

Rooms were roomy & clean. We got the all inclusive so the buffet food was different every night. During the day they again had buffet; with quick foods for poolside service, like hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos, etc. Overall the customer service was excellent. We had a waitress named (Francis) who went out of her way to keep us happy. We had her as our personal waitress for the four days we stayed. We had a group of 32-people. .

The staff at the hotel was great. Very helpful. The hotel itself is somewhat dated. We had a suite on the ocean which was spacious and clean but noisy due to beach activity. Great view. We ate breakfast at the beachfront restaurant. It is pretty clearly geared to the all inclusive crowd. Our server was pretty good but the food off the menu wasn't great. I would suggest walking down the Malecon for something better.

My sister and I come back every year thanks to the amazing staff, the great entertainment, restaurant and bar with service that will knock your socks off! We actually stay in the little adults only boutique hotel Casa dona Susana which is part of the group. First time ever writing a review for a hotel but this one deserves my feedback. My wife, 2 kids (son 14) (daughter 17) and our daughters boyfriend (18) recently returned from a trip to Puerto Vallarta and Play Los Acros Hotel Beach Resort. We stayed at the Suites across the street. We love PV and have been many times staying at some of the mega resorts, however this time, our kids asked us for more of an authentic experience and we jumped at it and started looking for the ideal hotel and Los Arc... Our first room faced the pool with loud salsa music playing over a poolside stereo was enough to wake the dead as our room was facing the pool. The sliding glass doors that kept falling off their track weren't well insulated or soundproof. The shower had little to no water pressure at times and we didn't get hot water for 2 days we were in that room. We have been coming ti Los Arcos for the last five years. Great hotel, very clean rooms, fabulous staff. It is on the beach with three pools, restaurant and close to all activities in old Vallarta. We took a day and rented a van and went to Sayulita. Our driver Eluid Valdovinos Bello is the best, he works for the hotel and drove eleven of us on his day off. We had a great time. When coming to Los Arcos be sure and introduce your self to Eliud. He will take very good care of you.

This is not my kind of place. The rooms are small, but I expected that and thatâ??s not an issue. The rooms were clean so that is a plus. But what I didnâ??t expect was the air conditioner hardly working or the staff and waiters being unfriendly. I wonâ??t say they were rude, but we received a mostly indifferent attitude and I almost always had to hunt down someone for service and we are not old biddies that demand special attention. We typically just go with the flow. The other thing I di... Read more
