My husband and I had a great time at the Grand Velas in Puerto Vallarta this past April. The staff was very attentive. Hector Guicho greeted us at the door and checked on us our entire stay. He was personable and knowledgeable about the area. All of the restaurants had fabulous food and service. The spa was nicer than anything I have been to in the states. We will be definitely be back.

Great resort if you like a large and busy place. Beautifully maintained, excellent pools, great exercise spa (and the rest of the spa seemed great though we didn't use it). The suites are outstanding as is the service (except occasionally in the morning when tea was late). The restaurants are all very good, though our favorite is always Piaf, the French restaurant, with superb cuisine and wait staff. Only caveat, things get noisy on the restaurants (particularly Piaf) when convention groups occu... Read more

The Grand Velas was a very nice all inclusive resort. The restaurants were excellent, however they would provide half orders of expensive entrees for all inclusive guests. For example when we ordered Chateaubriand, a half order was served. Only at the end of the meal did we see on the order slip it was half an order- the server never said a word. Until we noticed that we had wondered why the servings were so small. The facilities were wonderful. The beach was beautiful for long walks, and the po... Read more

this is a spectacular hotel for m, but is almost outstanding, but the only oportunity area is the food they should have attention and care about the food, they have all of options but the taste is so so, they should have a executive chef for better taste of the food if they have a better food this Hotel is gonna be one of the best in Mexico, the rooms are great and the swingpool and the Spa is awesome.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Grand Velas Resort as part of a large group. The hotel and staff are outstanding. As an example, the hotel serves Pepsi, my girlfriend drinks Diet Coke. Within minutes, our in-room refrigerator was filled with Diet Coke.

Our second trip here. Food is fabulous, great service, beach is clean and swimmable, new teen/tween club a great option for bigger kids. This place is impeccable, everywhere you look someone is cleaning or working on landscaping. The Lucca and Piaf food is comparable to a Four seasons and the spa is Definitely the best I've ever been to - including st Regis, Four seasons etc. it's a chill crowd, nothing flashy and people are friendly.

This is a 1st class all-inclusive. The service, food, drinks, and activities were amazing. I have been to all-inclusives in Riviera Maya and Dominican Republic. This was the nicest one. What was especially nice about the restaurants was that the variety at each one was able to satisfy a group of ten from ages 15 to 80. Everyone was happy. Our excursions included a city tour, ziplines, ATV's, sailing, and jet skis. The view of the ocean and water temperatures were perfect.

Infinity pool is spectacular, they have 4 Different restaurant s food and service are awesome. Staff are very friendly and helpful and would do almost anything to make your stay very pleasant. Everything at this resort is at its best! The beach, service, rooms and spa - could not be better! The kid's club is open until 11p.m,(and the kid does not want to leave that place!) which allowed us to to eat at Piaf, the five star French restaurant, where chef Marco Hernandez spoiled us with tasting menu every time we had dinner there, constantly coming up with something new and delicious, such as goat cheese ice cream or the lobster cappuccino! To enhance the experience, Miguel offered us a w... Read more

Best of the best, superb, fantastic, beyond excellent ?? these are some of our comments following a holiday at Grand Velas Resort, Neuvo Vallarta, Mexico. Look no further for your perfect holiday resort. My husband and I, who travel frequently and are quite discerning, celebrated our first wedding anniversary at the Grand Velas. From the moment we arrived up to our departure it was wonderful, like being in paradise. The design of the resort is beautiful, the location (with views of the gard... Read more

Great vacation. Excellent service, everything exceeded expectations, staff made sure to take care of anything we needed. all-inclusive food was high quality and only downside was the weight gain from eating it all week long. we hope to be back soon.

My family and I stayed at Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit for 7 days and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel to the quality of the staffing . First off the food was spectacular the best out of any all inclusive resort I have been to - All diamond rated restaurants. My husband and I agreed that the Mexican restaurant was the best we have actually ever had. Secondly The amenities and surroundings, beach, pool, gym was absolutely gorgeous and did not disappoint. It did not seem crowde... Read more

This was our third time at this beautiful resort. We enjoy the ocean front location that has a beach where we can body surf or boogy board as well as relax around the pool. The restaurants are fantastic. Piaf is our favorite and as Piaf is adults only we ate there most nights. The staff is top notch and chef Marco Hernandez is extraordinary. Each dish is exquisite and the dining experience at Piaf is phenomenal. The staff that we had included Hector Perra, Angel Garcia, Francisco and Johnny.... Read more

Rooms are nice and ample with small outdoor patio. Staff is terrific very helpful. Beautiful beach with good swimming. Three level pool: not crowded when we were there, but could be in season. The real highlight were the restaurants: Italian, French, and Mexican (which require reservations). There is also a buffet open for all meals. The three special restaurants are in the main building with limited views, but the food is excellent (best we have had at an All Inclusive in Mexico and matching t... Read more

We just got back from a short 3-day trip to Grand Velas and it was wonderful! We have stayed an Grand Velas once before and I have to say, this resort has the best impeccable service and food. Everyone is always so friendly and thoughtful. We have stayed at numerous all-inclusive resorts before and this one is definitely top notch, especially when it comes to food. The restaurants are high class fine dining, it's hard to believe it's all inclusive. Piaf is definitely our favorite with all the fo... Read more

My husband and I vacationed in Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit many times before, it's our favorite vacation spot and favorite resort. This time we vacationed with our three adult children and their spouses, two grandsons, and couple of friends. My husband was turning 60 and grandson was turning 1 during this vacation, their birthdays are just a few days apart. What a fun time we had!! We arranged our travel thru fantastic travel agent MICHAEL MCHUGH, co-owner of DREAM MAKERS VACATION SERVICES. Th... Read more

I have been here a few times in the past, it's very relaxing from the moment you arrive, the rooms and spacious, the service is fabulous. I would highly recommend an afternoon or two at the spa to enhance your trip. The only issue I had was the food in the "special" restaurants, it was okay, but just okay and not near where a luxury 5 diamond hotel should be. The best food was the very relaxed pool side service and the lovely spread at breakfast. I did fill out questionnaires with the hot... Read more

40th anniversary one week trip to Grand Velas. Westjet flight was great - 10 min through customs at PV airport and 15 min to resort. I had sent an email asking to upgrade our room but they said they did not receive but they had a suite available for 6 nights but at a higher rate than I expected. Since it was our anniversary we took the room but I was not pleased with the way it was done. The seven days and nights at the Velas were outstanding. The service is as advertised. Anything you need it... Read more
