The nine-story Fiesta Americana is on a sandy beach in Puerto Vallarta`s northern hotel zone, less than 15 minutes from the airport and the Malecon waterfront boardwalk. "The Fiesta Americana Hotel is without a doubt one of the best hotels in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to this part of Mexico. Quality, Cleanliness, Friendliness and Service is beyond excellent! 5 stars! Just returned on Tuesday, 2/26/2013 weather was terrific, restaurants unsurpassed and residents are probably the friendliest in Mexico. Felt completely safe all the while we there. This is a place to consider checking out if you're considering taking a vacation outside the United States. Highly recommend!"

"Amazed at the level of customer service. No hassles on check in, no hidden fees. WiFi was free if you stayed more than 4 days. No timeshare pressure, even though these desks were manned in the lobby. Lobby tour agent, helped secure a nice trip (suggest you use this service than those you see on beach or in town, they know more details). Service personnel at restaurants and pool were outstanding, they remembered names of my entire family and made sure we were well attended to. Like that FA does not have meal plan. Going to town for dinner or lunch was very safe and a lot of fun."

"Just spent a week in PV and stayed at the Fiesta Americana which turned out to be a great choice..this Hotel is not new but very well kept and found the staff very accommidating and friendly...Room was great stayed on the 3rd floor which gave us a beutifull view of the pool area and the ocean...We had breakfast included with our room and there is a presentation that you are required to attend to recieve the perks which was not disclosed at the time we booked the trip but not a big deal. This was our 3rd trip to PV and by far the best yet the Hotel makes a big difference..Will difinitely return."

"A single mother and daughter when we arrived they entered my credit card info incorrectly and it cost me 2 hours and international calling to find out it was their fault. NO APOLOGY!!!
We made certain the buffet was included with our package, we had them double check, they came back and confirmed that yes... so we ate from the breakfast buffet and within two hours my 10 year old daughter was violently ill, as she was for the following 4 days. She never ate at the buffet again yet they charged us $25 a day for it!!! The housekeeping however was very kind. I had a tragic family emergency back home at the same time and had to use the hotel internet for an hour to hook up my phone so I could attend to it. They told me i was buying and hour then charged me for the week. $600!!! When I went to get change for an American $20 at the front desk the man who we saw and dealt with all the time, said he did not have proof that we were guests! All the while i have a very sick kid with me. Deliberately unhelpful, rude. Also the lovely property is facing the ocean, had it not been for the pianist I could have heard the waves soothing us. Although the pianist is excellent, I do not want to hear it, I want to hear waves.
I LOVE MEXICO, especially PV, I was so disappointed at the staff, the treatment, they charged us an extra 350 for buffet we did not eat, they charged me 600 for internet i did not use, they charged us for food we did not eat from the fridge, we had to prove it!!!? They did not help me to take care of my simple $20 transaction. Oh and their restaurant was overpriced, not fresh and small portions. I would NEVER stay at this property again.

"Great location, great ocean view and great buffet breakfast! Worthwhile to spend a few extra dollars to book deluxe ocean view rooms with breakfast. The pool is nice and next to the beach. The only drawback is that the Mexican restaurant is not open during off-peak season, leaving the only on-site dinner option at the L'Isola, Italo-Argentine restaurant next to the pool. Not a bad choice though, and easy bus access to Centro for more dining and shopping options."

"We traveled for a long weekend and had a wonderful time. The meals we ate at the breakfast buffet were wonderful,a nice selection. we loved the downtown area of Puerta Vallarta,they have a wonderful new boardwalk and some of the best restaurants with all kinds of food. Also,do not miss the galleries,frequently they have a gallery night very nice.(we were not traveling with small kids,we were with a bunch of friends)You can get there easily,we found the bus the best way to travel,very inexpensive....but hold tight. a good time was had by all."

"Our trip was 10/30/12. The hotel was extremely clean! and the restaurants had excellent food. We never got anything even questionable. But the best part was the pool. We had 3 people who basically waited on us the whole time we were there. The service around the pool was the best we have had anywhere ever. These guys were there at just the right time, every time. They were always pleasant and made our inexperience with the Spanish language fun and we learned from them. EXCELLENT!!! Thanks, guys!!"
