Location

Excellent down town location, within walking distance to shops, restaurants and the famous ``Malecon`` in the heart of Puerto Vallarta.
Located in the heart of the most traditional area of the Old Vallarta, Playa Los Muertos, only 3 minutes away from downtown and 20 minutes from the International Airport.

Why Stay Here

In addition to the beauty of this spectacular setting, the inherent warmth and friendliness of the locals have attracted a lively expatriate community from the United States, Canada, and Europe, who in turn make vacationers from those countries feel right at home.
Fortunately though, the town has retained its quaint charm. Picturesque colonial and whitewashed buildings, cobblestone streets that wind in and out, red Spanish tile roofs, and a brilliant profusion of flowers and jungle-like flora differentiate Puerto Vallarta from any other destination.

Resort Details

The hotel has two buildings, one faces the ocean and the other lies across the street. The second building has a rooftop spa tub and suntan terrace.
The hotel features comfortable facilities including:

  • Beach
  • Private Umbrellas
  • Safety deposit boxes
  • Fax service
  • Medical service on call.
  • Beach Club Amapa Sunset Restaurant with room service from 8:00 - 11:00 pm

Nearby

Tropical forested mountains and mineral rich volcanic slopes appear to literally rise from the sea and 100 miles of mountain ringed golden coastline hugs the stunningly beautiful Bay of Banderas. The country`s broadest and deepest natural bay, the Bay of Banderas teems with aquatic life that many visitors will likely discover on an eco-tour (or perhaps sample at one of the city\\\'s amazing seafood restaurants!). The bay`s many blessings - dozens of beaches, sparkling sunshine, and clear blue water ideal for snorkeling and swimming - are sheer magnets for visitors.

After spending the first two nights in a not-that-nice room on the ground level, we were moved to the second floor where we really enjoyed the room and our stay. (The first room was right next to the road and didn't smell nice and was noisy. There was an ocean view over the roof of the downstairs restaurant. The patio was always wet from dripping AC units above, and there were a lot of pigeons.) However, we were moved to the second floor and thought the room was more than adequate. The staf... Read more

Check in was a breeze. We were in room 105, facing the bay. Loved sitting on the balcony, sipping on nice Americano coffee, and having a smoke, looking onto the beach. Wow. As many have mentioned already, the room was not fancy. If I wanted fancy, I would have stayed in Cement Land, that's what my snowbird friends call the area with all the new towers/resorts. No, thanks. Since the beach is practically below us, you will hear noise when you are on the balcony. But once you're in the room an... Read more

Once again we stayed at Emperador PVR. It is just the best hotel in the area. Nice suites ( choose that one) with the most wonderful view over the bay and beach. The staff is great the maid who came every day did a woulderful job. Special thanks to the saff at the reception, always polite and very helpful. The beach is great and the location is the best. We will come back again John and Henrik from Denmark

Last February we bailed from our 1st spot. Checked out a couple of places on Los Muertos, Emperador could fit us in last minute and we went for it. Great spot. We were very, very happy with our accommodations. There was a leak situation on our patio and Ian took care of the problem! We truly loved the central rooms, clean very good beds and nice kitchen options. So close to restaurants, beaches and entertainment. We loved it so much we will be back for 2 weeks Feb-Mar 2017. Again, Ian was such ... Read more

We have stayed at the Emperador Vallarta Beachfront 3 times in the last year and a half. It was referred to me by a friend that has been staying there for years. We have always stayed in a Ocean Front Suite with the large patio and kitchen on the patio. The first stay was 14 nights in March 2015 and we fell in love with the location and the wonderful staff, Daniel, Ian and Claudia. They will do anything they can to help you and make your stay as much fun and pleasurable. It is very importan... Read more

Although reasonably basic but nice, staff were so helpful. I needed to call states and they let me free of charge. Just nice and simple. Plus the best view which is priceless. The view is the best view in the world. It's a shame that the touts and sellers are so hard core outside the hotel as this ruined it a bit for me.

Nice, clean, somewhat dated, no-frills hotel....but the view! Right in front of the pier at the south end of the Malecon/Boardwalk. When you step out on the nice sized deck you have a gorgeous panoramic view of the pier structure right in front of you with the ocean and the bay as an amazing back drop. Staff was very friendly to provide a hair drier and none was included with the room and we got caught in a torrential downpour.
