If you are looking for comfortable, clean accommodation which is literally 10 minutes away from ththe Zona Romatica centre and a fantastic view to boot...this is the place for you. Myself and a friend stayed in one of the suites which was perfect especially due to the convenience of a powder room in addition to the bathroom and our Housekeeper kept the place spotless. I understand they are conducting some refurbishments which is great as the room was a little dated. However, as a interval member... Read more

We stayed here for a week. The hotel room we had is the older un-remodeled second floor. It's a decent place a little away from the hub of town but an easy bus or taxi ride to services. Good aspects.... King bed was pretty comfortable. View of ocean right out our patio window. Used our ceiling fan the entire time as the air conditioner was not adequate. Had internet that was fine. Space in our studio was spacious. Good sized refridgerator, mini stove, dishes and kitchen supplies to get some sim... Read more

The service was great. Start with the Bellman, the Front Desk, the Concierge, the cleaning staff and the wait staff. Everyone was very attentive to the needs of all guest. We were really pleased with the food be it breakfast, lunch or dinner. The exchange rate was very competitive. The hotel is located on the major north south highway so bus or Taxi transportation is readily available. The hotel has two pools, one smaller for adults only and the larger for families, but neither were crowded... Read more

Everyone at Costa Sur was unbelievably friendly! From the moment we checked in, to that sad minute we checked out, we were constantly asked if we needed anything. The entire staff was ensuring that we had everything we wanted at all times. Vanessa made our excursion reservations easily, Andres made sure we had enough to eat and drink at poolside, and Fabrizio is the best bartender in town! Alberto the waiter stood out, but every waiter was phenomenal!

We stayed at Costa Sur for 2 weeks in May. It was a great experience ! The staff truly make the resort what it is ! Arturo and Veronica from the activities area go out of their way to ensure all guests are having a good time. The waiter staff is prompt and keep the food and drinks flowing. I highly recommend a stay here.

We stay in Costa Sur each time we've visited Vallerta. It is in a great location and has good facilities. The bay has Dolphins playing in the mornings quite magical. We like the adults only pool and the view from the bedrooms. It's good value for money and we always have a happy stay.

This was our first visit and we loved Puerto Vallarta but the hotel was not what I expected. The room was okay but only had 1 air conditioning vent so it was hard to cool off the room. There was a 3-4 inch gap under the door which didn't help so we stuffed a blanket under it. The beach was not we expected. Very rocky so if you don't have on swim shoes it really hurt your feet. The lagoon affect was nice but the rocks made it hard to enjoy. On a good note, the staff was very nice.

We had a very nice stay at Costa Sur, though probably would not return. On the plus side, the food is fantastic! We opted to pay for the all-inclusive bands, thinking it would be open buffets. Rather, everything is a seated meal cooked to order, and you end up signing to your room regardless. Would probably save money billing meals separately, but the bands made it easier. And the food and the service was worth it! Another plus is the beautiful private lagoon and snorkeling! Snorkel gear ... Read more

Very disappointed with this hotel. Problems began as soon as we walked into the room. There was dirty toilet paper in the toilet, cracker crumbs on the desk and hair on the bed. Aside from that dirty first impression, when we showered water would leak out and we ended up with puddles in the bathroom and bedroom. Problem was reported and nothing was done until the day we left. Also, water was shut off without notice during the day while I was showering. The only thing positive about the room was... Read more

Check in staff and valet was friendly and accomodating. The rooms are old and air conditioner hardly blew cold air in the dead of summer. Missing screen on balcony door and bathroom shower glass door needed to be replaced.

It was our first trip to Puerto Vallarta. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. If you are looking for luxurious - our room was more casual but suited our needs. With that said, Costa Sur was everything and more. What made it even more memorable was the staff. They were friendly and attentive. One employee in particular, Arturo Mota went above and beyond. He was friendly, addressed us by our name, and always made sure we had what we needed when we ran into him on the property. F... Read more

Overall my stay was not horrible but I probably won't return. I loved PV but not the hotel. The food was pretty good. Most of the staff was very nice but I did have a bartender complain to me that he wasn't getting enough tips at 11am on a Friday when i asked how he was doing. I was a bit shocked. View, pool and beach were pleasant. Room and overall hotel felt old. First night our sheets and pillows were stained and the sinks had nasty water in them. The following nights the issue was no... We went on a family vacation to the Costa Sur Resort and Spa and really enjoyed our stay there. It is a beautiful location, directly on the beach and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant is delicious and the service outstanding, we very much enjoyed our breakfasts, lunches and dinners. We loved the lagoon for snorkeling and swimming, because it is sheltered and not overwhelming, if you are not used to snorkeling. The rooms were very outdated, but clean and they inf... Read more

This is a older resort but maintained quite well but not updated. It is a small resort just South of town but with excellent bus service. It has basically one restaurant with good food. It has an excellent friendly staff. There is a small beach in a protected lagoon which we did not use. There are 2 pools one adults only. We found many of the people were repeat visitors. Many were owners they like the out of the way location and quiet location. Since it is on the highway it not the best for walk... Read more

The rooms are very dated and we had our water shut off without notice in the shower 1 morning. Also the housekeeping crew took our pillows after servicing the room and we had to phone the front desk to get them back. Other than that, the views are amazing! We had rain storms every night and it was so nice to watch it over the ocean. The food though - the service is slow, but the food is SOOOO GOOD! I think we ate ceviche every meal.

As an annual timeshare owner of two weeks, I look forward to returning here most years. This year, 2016, there had been quite a few improvements to the public areas, yet there remained the same charm and comfort, as the years before. I.E., the same two pools, but new lounging furniture. The same room decor, but, last year we had a new king sized bed, a new refrigerator, new curtains. The plaza bar is great, the exercise room has new machines, the spa was the same, the lobby was the same but, the... Read more

Costa Sur is a warm and wonderful hotel in which to spend a vacation. The staff is amazing! I cannot imagine getting better service anywhere, and always with a smile I have been coming here twice a year for 10 years, and every time I think it can't get better, it still gets even better! This is an older hotel, and it does need some updating, which they have been slowly doing. The main negative in my opinion is that the wifi in the rooms doesn't work. However, all the positives outweigh any ... Read more

Just returned from nearly 3 weeks. Our favorite place to go. They have been working hard to update the hotel. Lots of positive changes since last May. We love the people and the feeling of security and safety there. We never worry about anything. The hotel personnel are awesome. Have had the same maid for 22 years. Many of the other personnel are very long time employees also. They will accommodate your needs in any way they can. There are many more activities than ever before. This b... Read more

Costa Sur is an older resort which is located directly on the water. The rooms in the north tower (which are large hotel rooms with kitchenettes) are comfortable and of course you are looking directly out on the ocean from your room (all rooms face the ocean). The rooms are a little dated (some have been updated but we were in one of the older rooms) but have everything you need. There is a king sized bed, fold out sleeper couch, table, dresser and four chairs. The kitchen has a medium sized... Read more

We have been visiting Costa Sur for over 10 years. It is not a posh property, but it is comfortable and the staff has been there forever. They remember you from year to year and go out of their way to make you feel at home. All of the rooms are on the ocean with a beautiful view of Banderas Bay, the second largest bay in the world. We prefer the charm of the Old Town rather than the destination resort feeling of the northern part of the city. Be sure to go to Garbo's Bar and visit with the o... Read more

Costa Sur has been in existence for several decades and has the unique characteristics of being built right off the coastline. Many newer resorts are stepped back from the ocean. Not here, You are just a few steps into the ocean with crystal clear water and a rock barrier that protects swimmers from big waves as well as provides homes for a variety of fish swimming in and out of the rocks. I am becoming one of the people who I see there every year. Some have been coming for 30 years and think of... Read more
