We arrived at casa iguana to an absolutely filthy apartment. It was advertised as a small equipped kitchenette, pictures to follow. There was almost nothing in the kitchen, no towels in the bathroom, no soap, no shampoo. The hot plate did not work at all, no hot water at all. After reading reviews I opted to bring cleaning supplies and do the basic cleaning myself. We had already booked and paid for our stay. I started to clean the filthy surfaces, but stopped when I opened the cupboards, they w... Read more

The jacuzzi was not working and the internet works also very poorly. The worst is the lady manager in charge, an arrogant person by the name Gabriela Macedo that won't even let you finish your sentence as a customer. Even getting her name was difficult. I am originally from Mexico and I wonder if foreign tourists get a better treat. This is my last time in this place unless I get a written apology from the management of this place that even dare to diminish the agriculture sector to which I work... Read more

The hotel is a lot older than than what the pictures represent. The rooms air conditioners did not work had to open the windows and doors to cool the room down. No elevator. It was ok I expected more since I paid over $100 per night.

We are staying here for three months. I have stayed here before and am sad to see how it has gone down hill. The people that work here are doing the best they can with what they have to work with. The pool is advertised as heated, but it is not, and it is dirty. I wouldn't swim in it. The hot tub has not been working since I got here December 1st and doesn't look like it ever will. We booked here as it had a pool and hot tub but not being able to use either one isn't worth the money. The location... Read more

We booked Casa Iguana for a longer stay based on photos and reviews. I don't know what other visitors are thinking but the hotel is disgusting at this point . The staff hang around the front office offering nothing in the way of service. We were given our keys and entered the gates of hell. Every surface was covered in filth. The kitchen surfaces were covered in food debris and utensils were not clean. The fans, air conditioning, and fridge were so loud it could not be tolerated. The shower and ... Read more

We did not book this accom and were initially disappointed with the location having expected to be in Puerto Vallarta. Our views did change when we settled in. Bus to PV at the corner, cheap and regular. Beach - easy walk Beach locals not pushy when selling their wares Walking up the avenue was delightful, locals to say hi, Tequila shops, Zoo and if keen (we weren't) a walk up to El Eden. All the staff were helpful and friendly. Even the ones that had very limited English which was good for us ... Read more

What a wonderful hidden gem. Not a place for the all inclusive lovers, but for the rest of us that enjoy the local life it's perfect. South of Puerta Vallarta a short walk away from the beach, with a small river running beside its peacefulness is serene. You are close to walk to the zoo and if you like walking El Eden is only 4.5 km. All rooms are suites with mini kitchen so you have the option to be self sustained. There is a restaurant on site and a mini mart out front. You can catch the ... Read more

The Case Iguana Hotel was a little disappointing for me, but had some redeeming qualities. For us, we enjoyed that it was a hotel primarily with Mexican people staying at it. However, our Spanish speaking skills are not very good, so it was difficult to communicate with most of the people. The absolute best thing that happened to us when we stayed there is a Mexican couple were eating outside there room and brought me and my husband a delicious bowl of fish and vegetable soup. They told us in Sp... Read more

This little place was recommended by a local friend as an alternative to large, pricier alternatives. I was down near Mismaloya condo shopping and Casa Iguana Hotel did not disappoint!! Beautiful grounds and large swimming pool with abundant tropical landscaping and waterfall. Yummy food at restaurant B-L-D plus entertainment and bar. A really fun place!! Rooms have kitchens if requested and are very clean and nicely decorated!! Most friendly and helpful staff!!

Upon arrival we were treated graciously and taken great care of. Very quite and charming property. The rooms had A/c , ceiling fans, 2 bedrooms, great views, clean, comfy spacious, enough kitchen supplies and anything else just ask for. Pool is awesome and clean and the courtyard is so exotic. The local kitties and dogs are so sweet I couldnt help but buy food for to ensure they loved me as much as I loved them. The location of this place is so perfext and feels like you are in a village with ... Read more
