"The hotel and property was everything we expected and more.Beautiful setting, gorgeous building, pools, beach, carribean sea. Good food & drink, nice ambiance, friendly solicitous staff, big comfortable room, nightly entertainment, quiet, relaxing.
The high pressure sales pitch at the get-go is a big negative. They don't even let you enjoy your first day, but right away they want you to buy your next ten years' vacations from them. You will pay for all that in the first two years!!!. Embarrasing and upsetting.
A fantastic tour to Chichen Itza and the cenotes near by,snorkeling at the 2nd largest coral reef in the world with an amazing number of different species.
A fantastic trip with a beautiful wedding-arrangement for our daughter."

"My husband and 11-year old daughter had the best vacation at the NowSapphire Resort, Maya Riveria. As other folks have mentioned, there is the 'sales pitch' which we didn't want to do but because female staff were in a contest against the guys, we thought we would help them out and listen. High pressure indeed but it's not that difficult to say no. It was a bit lengthy but we indicated we needed to leave. We did, however, for our time receive $150.00 same as cash coupon that we used to reduce our excursion cost. The beach has seaweed because you are located near the 2nd largest coral reef in the world (first is in Australia). The seaweed was not bad and we had no complaints because they are constantly picking up the seaweed and really, it is only where the water line stopped so walk elsewhere if it bothers you. There is plenty of beautiful beach, sand, chairs, bars and great service by a very friendly staff. We came to know our room maid. Although we only did room service a few times, we loved the fact that we saw the same faces over and over again. Yes, poolside chairs at the main pool were 'spoken for' very early in the morning but we spent most of our time in the pool. I would recommend if you are a preferred guest, like we were that you talk to someone to reserve a bali bed as soon as you get there. That was well worth the reservation conversation. Please, I implore each of my fellow travelers to budget for tips. Yes, it is an all-inclusive that you may have paid good money for (as I did) but, these folks work very hard and tipping goes a long way. The communication between the staff about who you are, what you like, etc. was fabulous. There were wait staff that would approach us with a drink (or a shot of Tequila - I recommend Le Mision) that we had never seen. I have and will continue to recommend the friendly staff, as well as the NowSapphire Maya Riveria Resort. The food was fabulous in each restaraunt. Be forewarned - no saki or Japanese beer in the Hibachi grille but that was okay - the food and staff made up for that by their charms, sense of humor and overall attentiveness. The shows and lobby events were outstanding. Even after a long day of excursions, it was worth it to shower and hit the lobby for a walk-about and a night cap. The open lobby and breeze and the sweet young lady selling cigars were primo to end a wonderful day. A must excursion is Tulum/Xel-ha. Make sure to have your bathing suit on under your clothes so you can swim in the waters at Tulum and see some outstanding fish, including Nemo at Xel-ha during snorkeling. A wonderful memory for each of us and we will definitely return. Lastly, the staff was so generous that within the first hour of being there, my husband lost the screw in his prescription sunglasses and a very sweet young man removed the screw from his glasses to give to my husband. If that is not service, nothing is."

"The hotel and property was everything the pictures said it would be. Room was spacious and clean service great. We liked the fact that the restaurants were first come first serve. As a party of two there was little or no wait every night. We were preferred guests which meant that we had access to the preferred lounge and could reserve lounges at the adult only pool and an umbrella and lounge at the beach. It also meant that at check in they started selling us on a vacation time share. We had not even seen our room yet and they wanted us to sign up for a presentation. We said no and the next day they called our room and we said no again. On the third day they called our room and said we must come down and sign papers. Now we were being harassed! We went down and said we were not interested for the third time and finally they left us aone. The only other negative to the trip was the lounges at the main pool. People would go out at 5am to reserve lounges at the beautiful main pool. I'm on vacation and there is NO way that I will get up at 5am to get a lounge chair. This is supposedly against hotel policy and signs are posted with the policy but everyone does it. I actually saw some guests almost come to blows over a lounge chair and the hotel staff did little if anything to diffuse the situation. The same people that are reserving chairs are actually going on excursions or snorkeling and so the majority of the chairs would sit empty for the half the day while other hotel guests wander around and around the pool looking for and place to sit. Of course it was spring break week and the hotel was filled to capacity but the hotel staff coud do a better job of enforcing its own rules so the guests who are actually at the pool can enjoy it. Overall the hotel was beautiful ad well maintained and we enjoyed every restaurant on the property. We would definately return just maybe not on such a prime week"

"Relaxing trip. Our first All-Inclusive. Enjoyed the stay. My only complaint, all be it a small one, is that Karaoke should last longer than a hour. The crowd was very disappointed. I like the fact that the resort didn't seem crowded, even though buses were pulling up daily. No reservations seemed like a great idea compared to other resorts. You get a pager and can relax at the lobby bar waiting for your table."

"My wife, son (toddler) and I recently returned from 5 nights at the Now Sapphire in early February. We had a great time here and really do not have any complaints. The staff was extremely friendly and tried to accommodate us as much as they could (even provided a crib for our room), the resorts grounds were very clean and well maintained, the food was excellent and there was plenty for us to do.
The resort was not too crowded so we never had to wait for drinks or to be sat at a restaurant. We also never had issues getting chairs by the pool or beach. The only negative is that there was some seaweed all along the beach but it's really not a big deal and does not detract from your enjoyment.
We really enjoyed ourselves! The Now Sapphire is great resort and I would definitely recommend it to family and friends."

"We went to the resort for our wedding and honeymoon with family and friends. We were all highly impressed with the friendliness of the staff and with all of the ammenities of the hotel and its elegance. There was a variety of delicious food to choose from, for every meal, and room service was very prompt, and of the same quality served in the restaurants, available 24 hours per day. We opted for the preferred club, and are glad we did so, although we had some family members who were not preferred club, we were all treated the same- with kindness and respect. We only have good things to say about the property and it's staff. If there is only one thing I would change, it would be for making reservations at the preferred club pool and the preferred club beach area. We were not able to just call the preferred club concierge for the reservation, we had to track down a pool concierge and a beach concierge, at 9am the day prior to the reservation, to get chairs in the preferred club area. It would be nice if we could call the preferred club concierge to make reservations at 9am, instead of having to run around the resort trying to find 2 separate concierge's to make a reservation for the following day. If you're thinking of doing a destination wedding, I give it 5 out of 5 stars, excellent wedding coordinator, along with her staff. She made our day beautiful and stress free. Also, we'd like to give a special shout out to staff at the Sandbar, for keeping us wet and happy for the whole week! Make sure you book enough time to enjoy all of the on-property activities, rain or shine - the friendly staff will never let you be bored! We are definitely going back next year to celebrate our anniversary, and we highly recommend getting an ocean front room with the preferred club."

"It was my first travel experience with the Now resorts. My sister had been at this resort and had recommended it to me and my husband. I have been on 7 trips in the past , and have stayed in a different resort each time. I was very impressed with everything at this resort. I read different reviews , and I can not imagine how anyone could find fault with this resort. I will recommend it to anyone who wants a all around great holiday. I plan on visiting the Now resort in Punta Cana, next time I go."

"I loved this resort! Even more stunning in person, it's like being in Bali, with all the water features, thatched roofs and beautiful landscaping. The pool is incredible, our room opened to a deck with hot tub, right on the beach. Food was incredible, the service was excellent, the staff is so friendly and outgoing. We arrived for a wedding with 27 people and about 10 people that I know of became horribly sick, myself included. One person has been hospitalized twice and I ended up in the ER due to dehydration. Before the resort replies that we could have gotten this anywhere, not all of us ate together, and I never left the resort only to come home. The lady hospitalized was diagnosed with salmonella poisoning. Not sure what's going on there, but unfortunately it is our first and last visit to Mexico.
I really wish I could have written a better review, I really loved the place and the wedding was wonderful, the photographer took amazing pics, and I loved the location. I just can't let it be unsaid how sick we all got. I rated the stars before I got sick, otherwise I would have put all 1stars."

"Overall very pleased with our experience here. First time to Cancun. Had read the reviews of others, and chose this resort based on them. Resort was absolutely high-end and beautiful!! Beach was nice as well. A little seaweed but still beautiful! Rooms were super clean and comfortable. Very spacious as well. Enjoyed the tennis, volleyball and ping pong. Most of the food was very good. Occasionally got something that was not so tasty. Buffet seemed better than some of the restaurants. Favorite was Paramour, the French restaurant. A couple of days we had to wait between 45-90 minutes to get into the restaurants as you cannot make reservations. Friendly helpful staff. Decent alcohol selection. Great trip! :)"

"We stayed at Now in November with family and friends. The resort is beautiful but that is where it ends. The food is horrible, drinks are really watered down, front desk staff are rude and not helpful at all. Almost impossible to get a chair on the beach unless you upgrade to Preferred. Teen club was a joke. Will never return to this resort!"

"Nicest people in the world. Beautiful beach and pools, expect rough waters. Clean resort. Not enough air conditioning. Be prepared to be very hot almost every where and it's really hot in Mexico. Out of 7 Restaurants only 2 have a/c and it's not turned up very high. When you ask them to turn up the a/c while dining they just say they can't. Miserable. Of course getting a table at the air conditioned restaurants is hard and they want to close early and leave open the hot restaurants. Food is extremly good lobby isn't air conditioned either so you are forced in your room to stay cool. I had to get a manager twice cause restaurants wouldn't seat us at 8pm they said they were all booked up (with empty tables and no line) i suspect they just wanted to go home early. they even close one restaurant nightly. We enjoyed our stay, got a great deal but the restaurant situation being too hot- not fun. I would come back but wouldn't be my first choice."

"We had an amazing & memorable time! We tried meals at all the different restaurants & all the food was very good. We can't say enough about the staff. They made our stay so relaxing & were so helpful & friendly. We had a beachfront suite, which was very lovely. The pools are awesome too! We stayed at the resort most of the time, but did go on a tour to Chichen Itza. It was a long day, but very worthwhile. We visited a cenote that we could swim in on this tour also. Words cannot express the beauty of this place. It was absolutely breathtaking! This definitely was one of the highlights of our trip. Our meal was provided on this tour & we were entertained with Mayan dancers. We would highly recommend this resort & are hoping that we are able to return again in the future."

"We were not impressed with the Now sapphire, We did find the staff friendly, but that was the the highlight. The food was fair to poor and their policy of no room service when it rains was very disappointing. This is not a five star or even a four star resort."

"Having read most of the comments prior to our trip, I would like to note that this resort is definitely worth giving a shot. We tried not to have high expectations just to be safe but it turned out quite 'above-and-beyond'experience after all.
Yes, they have some flaws - seaweed on the beach (gets combed regularly but still builds up) and some plumbing problems on the lst floor (the attendand responded within minutes), but overall we had a great time, staff was very efficient and accommodating, the place is well organized despite of some occasional glitches (some restaurants are off on certain nights, so you need to plan ahead, the preferred club lounge chairs and cabanas are often reserved, however they release the no-shows after 11 am and/or accommodate you with an alternatives if possible) and you can enjoy most of the facilities at your convenience, especially recommend the spa with the hydro massage/jacuzzi treatment - it's a great experience not to be passed or overlooked. With 4 people in our party, ages late 20's to late 50's, we found many activities to enjoy and had a great time, including leasurely drinks in the afternoon/evening - they do have a nice variety to offer, all inclusive, and you can always find something to your taste, especially at the preferred lounge. Book your tours the day before so you can assess the weather conditions, also make sure you know what to bring along (Chechen Itza Express tour we booked provided a light continental breakfast - rolls, bananas and orange juice but no water, so bring your own as it gets very hot there or be prepared to buy it at the entrance). Food is reasonably varied and at least you can always find something to your taste either at the Market Buffet or one of the restaurants (we liked French and Japanese above others). Activities are posted in the program for the next day and always have alternatives for rainy days.
To sum it up - do your homework and find out the activities and schedule to plan ahead and you will have a great vacation at a bargain price."

"We had a large group, 10 people total, and I think this may have thrown the staff for a loop because they are used to smaller parties. They ran out of most things we liked to drink each day- Bud Light and Champagne. It took quite a while to get into the restaurants with our size group and the service was a little slow. However, overall, we had a great time! The staff was friendly and we enjoyed most all the food. We would most likely return again or recommend to a friend."

"Awesome trip! The staff was great and so attentive. Louis at the pool bar is awesome. Tip him good and he will treat you awesome. The resort is so much fun all through the day with contests and activities. The food was amazing. The buffet is so good and offers a lot of choices. The fire and water show is highly recommended to see if it is offered during your stay. I would return in a heartbeat. We loved it!"

"We had a great stay. The food was great in all of the restaurants that we dined in. We were pleasantly surprised by the food at the buffet; we never had a bad meal there. Our favorite was the Ribeye steak at the Bluewater Grille - Excellent! Really though, the staff at the Now Sapphire is what made this such an enjoyable stay. I can't say enough about the friendliness of the people at this resort. If you are looking for crazy nightlife, you probably won't find it here. But, if you are looking for a very relaxing vacation with the most friendly people, try this resort."

"We spent the majority of our time in a Bali Bed at the Adults Only pool, so continue with that in mind. Food %u2022 Buffet - Italian night pasta bar was good. Lunch mediocre. Was surprised they would also close this twice a week %u2022 Fresco - Went twice. Not busy both times, but I figure most people didn't know it was there. It is kind of tucked behind the Buffet. Food was good. %u2022 Cibu - Good Filet. %u2022 Lemongrass - Didn't Eat here. There was too long of a wait (but tried to visit on a night when the buffet was closed) %u2022 Paramour - Didn't try to eat here. %u2022 Blue Water Grill - Favorite restaurant. Great American Foods. Steak, Pork Chops, onion rings, calamari. Delicious and right on the water. If you want to sit next to the ocean, make sure to tell the hostess. They didn't seat us there unless we requested it. %u2022 Deserts - Generally lacking. Could really use an Ice Cream Bar. %u2022 Room service - Took about an hour. Requested Eggs over easy and they were very hard %u2022 Cocos - very good frozen lattes. Steaks were not top choice. They weren't bad, but not the best I've ever had. Dress Code is annoying. Not because there is one, but because it is hard to find out what it is before you go. I found several different descriptions from Staffers and Brochures about what was okay and what was not okay. Discard the term Casual Elegance from your lexicon, Now. Tell people they can wear shorts & sandals at all restaurants, except Paramour. We didn't have a problem getting into any of the restaurants on nights when the buffet was opened. We dined around 6:30 each night. If you don't want to wait, eat early. Room Beds were nice. More english speaking tv channels would be nice. Power Management was very annoying. I understand the desire to save on energy costs in a resort this size. Now does this by turning off the lights when there is no movement in your room. A motion sensor turns everything back on when you return. The problem is that they also turn off the outlets and ceiling fan. So if you have an electronic device recharging, it may or may not be recharging while you are out. The room gets stuffy without the ceiling fan. Plan on waking up with the local birds each morning. You can fall back asleep if you are lucky, but they are certainly loud. Mini-Bar sodas were great. The bottle opener is in the bathroom. Preferred Club Bali beds are tremendous. Service at the adults only pool was top notch. Wifi at the pool at the pool would have been very nice. My wife liked the preferred lounge a lot. I read other reviews about the mad-dash at 7 AM to grab lounge chairs at the main pool. While there are signs that say you can't reserve chairs, no one seems to enforce this. If you don't want this hassle and want to know that a lounger/bed has been reserved for you, upgrade to preferred. I'm surprised there is not a pool open after five pm. Beach We aren't beach people. There is sea-grass that washes up, but walking up and down is not hampered by this. They seemed to stay on top of it. Seemed to be a foot or two of seagrass at the ocean's edge. Facilities We requested based on other reviews a tropical room in building 1, 2 or 3. They put us in Building 5. It was frustrating to have to switch rooms to a closer building on the second day. And even then it was only building 4. While this seems like a small deal and you can definitely walk the extra 50 yards or so to get to each next building. Having a closer building is just more convenient. Insist on being in the building you want to be in. Activities/Entertainment My wife liked the work out groups. She did Pilates, Yoga and Zumba and enjoyed them. The evening entertainment was hit or miss. Mostly miss. And other than boozing myself into a lather, there was not much else going on. Would highly recommend booking your transfer before you arrive so you can ignore the gauntlet of taxi/transfer vendors at the airport exit. Coupons We were offered the bonus coupons when we checked in. We declined. We got several messages/calls in our room requesting we come back to the preferred lounge to get our coupons from whoever it was that was offering them. Just ignore these and save your time. Don't pick up the coupons."

"Beautiful resort. The layout was very classy and well manicured. The service was mostly great, with a few employees standing out. The staff at the preferred pool was excellent. One wedding planner was great and one was not . They don't stock the minibar fridge with much beer, even with decent tipping. The resort was great for my group, but not close enough to either cancun or playa, and its expensive to get to and from for shopping, nightlife etc. the nightclub 'eclipse' was just OK, and they close it at 1am. They don't allow reservations in the restaurants, so be prepared to wait sometimes. The food was excellent at all but the mexican restaurant. The beach was great. Plenty of seaweed though. It's well worth paying the few extra bucks for the preferred club, but watch out when they check you in in the lounge, they try to sell you on timeshares."

"We just returned from a 5 night stay for a friend's wedding. This resort is beautiful, the staff in all sections of the resort were very polite and helpful, and we had a great time. We did not have the preferred status, just a regular hotel room.
The room view was the lush greenery surrounding the buildings, which was beautiful. However, the birds did wake us up around 5 or 6 am most mornings. I would suggest bringing ear plugs, especially if you don't have a beach front room. If you do, the sound of the waves might be enough to drown out the birds. The bird sound is beautiful, and definitely refreshing when you're coming from snow-lands. We were just not getting to bed early enough for a 6 am wake up. The rooms were cleaned twice a day, which was really nice, but the minibar isn't restocked very often. Most in our group had to request more waters pretty frequently, and b/c of that, we'd make sure to order a couple at the beach before going back to the rooms. Many in our group were worried about drinking the water at the restaurants or brushing teeth with tap water in the room. But out of the about 35 people in our group, I didn't hear of anyone getting sick, and I used their water the whole time. I know at least a few others did the same. It did taste funny in a couple places, though, fresco being the worst. Most of the time, I thought it tasted just fine.
The beach was gorgeous almost powdery-fine sand. It felt so good on the feet. And the water was very clear and fairly warm once you got in. Sure, there were some little twigs here and there, and a good amount of short sea weed at the bottom, but the debris doesn't get in your suit or keep you from swimming. Some of that washed up on shore, but we weren't bothered by it, and they cleaned it once or twice a day, so it didn't accumulate very much. It was WAY nicer then the algae-filled waters we're used to at home, where you bring a bunch of it back inside your suit when you return to shore. It didn't seem too hard to get a palapa (umbrella chair spot) on the beach. Poolside was a bit of a different story. Seemed more popular (I don't know why other than the pool bar, since the water there was a little chilly and the wave sound / sand was so nice).
Food: this isn't exactly the place to get your foodie fix, especially at breakfast/lunch. We ended eating at the buffet for most meals due to convenience, and the only other lunch place being closed when it rains, since it's outdoor-only seating (blue water grill). It rained for two days during our stay. The buffet was a mix of cooked, fried, and processed food. They had two stations cooking to order in the back of the room, which included an omelette/eggs to order station in the morning, and a seafood grill or pasta station at lunch. They always had a section of the buffet for salad, fruit, and cheese. The desserts in the buffet seemed a little processed, similar to what our local grocery store offers. Same with the ham at breakfast or in sandwiches. It was that kind that's been pulverized and then reformed. Not off the bone stuff, which was a little disappointing. The tomato cream soup tasted just like campbell's tomato soup. They always had a good variety of cooked items like roasted chicken and vegetables, shredded pork, and enchiladas, which made up for the processed food a bit. You definitely can't miss the guacamole, though. That was so rustic creamy and delicious! Overall, I'd give the buffet about a 6 or 7 out of 10 on the food. I was only able to go to blue water grill once during our stay, and I thought it was pretty good for beach- side casual lunch. They had things like tostadas, nachos, and fish and chips. One member of our group ordered the Mahi sandwich, only to find out that it was a fish salad sandwich, instead of a chunk of meat. So it's casual, but I'd take it over the buffet. 8/10 for there. We only ate at the Mexican restaurant, fresco, for the after-wedding dinner, so it was not their normal food offering. The first two courses of salad and soup were pretty good there, but I thought the beef filet entree was pretty bland. Wasn't overlooked, though. Dessert was the same so-so leche cake the whole resort seemed to offer. The only time I really liked it was at Lemongrass, the green tea cake. We went there for dinner one night for sushi. I have to say that was a let down as it took a long time to receive all the food, and our local sushi place has better rolls. The rolls were 80% rice, very little on the filling stuff, small pieces, and only four pieces per roll. If you're a sushi lover, I'd recommend getting the pad Thai or kimchi instead. Those were pretty good. I'd have to give lemongrass 7/10 with the soosh letdown and slow service (was hard even to get water refills). Cibu (Mediterranean) and Paramour (french) were the real stand outs at this resort. If I went back, I'd eat there for every dinner meal (so bummed they weren't open for lunch service!). I'd give both a 10/10.
The wait staff was really good 90% of the time in all restaurants. The only complaints was getting water refills sometimes. They certainly weren't slow refilling the alcoholic drinks, though.
One note on opening your patio door: don't do it between 5 and 7 pm! We had about 100 mosquitos in our room in about five minutes. We called for a room spray, which took about an hour and a half to arrive, but the guy did a good job and I didn't wake up with a single bite. Honestly, that was about the only time we saw bugs while at the resort. Some people in our group got some bites while we were in the main bar / sofa area at night, but I did not, and we didn't see the bugs. During the day, they were non-existent. Which was awesome since I'm a bit of a bug-phobe.
The last thing to note is that you should know activities such as parasailing, jet shi rentals, etc, are actually off site. It's about a half hour boat ride to cancun where that stuff is. So you'll need to allow at least a couple hours off resort to do it.
I didn't use the spa, but those in our group who did really enjoyed it. Same for the snorkeling. Room service was usually only a half hour wait, even when the quoted an hour. Room service menu was a little small, but I liked the things we ordered ( standard breakfast, burger, smoked salmon sandwich).
When we went to check out and leave, the bell men called a taxi for us and they were there within one minute. The ride to the airport only took about 15-20 minutes and was kind of pricey at $45. But it was a nice car and easy ride. Our overall experience was very good, other than the non- cooperative weather, which isn't the resort's fault. Would definitely recommend for those who aren't picky with food."

"Being the first all inclusive vacation that my boyfriend and I have taken I can honestly say that we are going to do much more of them. Now sapphire was a gorgeous resort with plenty of things to do. We just got back yesterday and we wished we could have stayed just a bit longer.
The resort itself is breathtaking. The views of the ocean and all the pools were amazing. Our room was also gorgeous. We were in building 1 and everything about the room was amazing. The mini bar was stocked daily, our rooms were cleaned by the time we came back from the beach or the pool and the housekeeping in general was great.
We got the preferred package which is think was worth it for a couple of reasons. We reserved chairs at the private beach which was extremely convenient. We used the preferred lounge a couple of times for afternoon snacks and drinks and we were able to each breakfast at the blue water grill which was great. We didn't go to the adults only pool because there was no swim up bar like in the regular pool and there wasn't any entertainment and music like at the regular pool.
The food was good. Not out of this world but definitely good. Our favorite restaurants were the French restaurant Paramour and the Asian restaurant Lemongrass. The market cafe buffet was standard for breakfast but definitely good for lunch.
The staff was so friendly. I have never met such nice people who would bend over backwards to make sure you had a good time. The waters at Paramour made our great dinner amazing. They brought over cool shots and took pictures for us.
I would recommend this resort to anyone that wanted to travel to cancun. We can not wait to go back again!"

"Was there 2years ago and again now, sorry but it was excellent but not anymore. Dining in the French restaurant was a hugh dissapointment. Food quality not up to the level you should expect. The best dining was at the grill, but 2 hours wait made it a joke. The beach and water was a mess, they did not clean propperly and beach chars had to be reserved one day in advance even for prefered customers.
Staff was very friendly, helpfull and positive - top ranking, but new owners too eager to save a buck or ten all over. Me and family will not go back, before some dramatic psitive changes is made.

"Had a nice stay, its a little boring and too far from Cancun for someone my age (19) lots of honeymooners and little kids. Good food but the restaurants aren't air-conditioned. They say they are but the air hardly comes out so it was too hot to eat dinner. I think I lost some weight, though. We had fun and the employees there were really really nice. Especially a certain staff in the preferred lounge. He was very nice."

"Although I have been to this area 7 times, this is my first stay at Now Sapphire Cancun. First I will start with the positives. The staff is so friendly, helpful and curtious at all times. The Preferred Club was worth the step up & the Jr Suite was also very clean. Oceanfront room was a plus to be mentioned. We enjoyed the Preferred Club lounge and could check emails, have a cocktail or eat a little something while being in very good air conditioning!! Always treated very very well there. The food was pretty good & there was a nice selection of things to eat. BlueWater Grill serves great steaks & has a nice breeze off the gulf. Paramour, the French restaurant was also a fine dining experience with wonderful service. We also liked CIBU(?) restaurant. Those were our favorites. Now to the down side. Know ahead the the drinks are very watered down. I have been to 6 other all-inclusives here & none were more obvious then tthe Now Sapphire. We had Preferred Club which stated 'Upgraded Mini-Bar' in Jr. Suites. Well, the 'upgrade' is 3 airplane bottles of liquor that is a one shot deal along with the soda & juice. The only thing you receive after that is bottled water which we had to call 3 times to get !!!!
All in all the resort is medium in size & easy to get around. The grounds are well kept & beautiful. We had a wonderful vacation there. Only wish that the watering of the drinks was not so obvious. Hope you are a beer & wine drinker !!!"

"Do not go to this resort unless you are in your 20s or 30s. The place is filled with people this age drinking round the clock.
Food was pretty bad except the Asian restaurant, even though we had to wait 1.5 hrs to get in. There are 6 places to eat but for some reason one is closed each night. If you are Preferred, you have 24 hour room service. I tried it once and I think it meant it takes 24 hours to get your food. The menu choices on the room service menu were so limited - about 5 things.
Language is a bit of difficulty although the staff are very nice and willing to please. Boating activities hard to get to and key time slots are filled fast..
Same for reserving the bali beds at the pool. The earliest you can call to reserve is 7am the day before. We called at 7am each day and all the beds at the main pool were taken. How can that be unless someone paid the pool guy off. Same for reserving the beds at the private pool (for Preferred) for adults, but there too, you have young couples drinking all day. Very hard to find a quiet place to rest.
'State of the art fitness center'? Are you kidding? The ceiling was leaking (or may have been from the a/c on the 4 pieces of equipment which was about 20 years old.
The ONLY good thing about this place was the spa. Highly recommend it - and the prices are very reasonable when converted to US."

"Arrival - made you feel like a king. Bar Service - havr ur tip money ready b/c they'll be looking for it. Otherwise get used to drinking the warm Corona Extra on tap. Minibar-didn't restock the beer once w/o me calling concierge, and then when I did call the guy asked me if he could check my fridge. ' All inclusive', yeah right. Food- was so/so Fresco and CIBU were both good. Buffet was best at breakfast. A lot of the wait staff made feel unwelcome, with exception of Nelson at Fresco. Nothing felt all inclusive, unless u had flash cash for tipping out and ready. The best part of my stay was our friend wedding. The food, bat service, dj, donkey, and hand rolled cigars were all top notch. If I could get married again I would do it like that. I preferred my previous stay at SANDALS, but for the price I would tell people to do it, but with the above expectations. "

"The positive food was very good, grounds were clean, staff was friendly.
The negatives no reservations at restaurants means up to 1 1/2 hour wait , rooms were in fair condition with very little water pressure on the 3rd floor, bartenders at pool bar cater to the tips and young ladies, pool was so cold that only kids were using it, I go on 4 to 5 trips per year and have traveled all around the Caribean but won't be rushing back to this Resort. sorry"

The night show was less exciting than Princess but as usual, staffs and services are excellent. I didn't like Best Day agent. We had quite few problem which made me decide I will never use Best day agency.

"WOW! that's what we were constantly saying when we arrived and throughout our visit. The people were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, and beautiful. The beach was beatiful and well cared for. The FOOD was outstanding, although if you're a sushi lover I wouldn't bother with the Japanese restaurant (the Lemongrass). It wasn't very fresh. Even the buffets were outstanding. The juices, the fruit, the breads, everything was SO good! They also have evening entertainment which was actually very good. They even bring in local merchants and put on a market night each week. You really don't have to leave the resort, even if you're there for a 5 or 7 days. It's so relaxing. Drinks are all included and they make the best Margueritas (or so my wife tells me). I would highly recommend this place to anyone - family or couple."

"Our first time in Cancun. We chose this hotel because of the facilities and the pictures looked great. The food was good and the staff was impeccable the entire time we were there, until we met the bell hop/valet on check out, he was rude.We had out entire 5 days planned out right down to the spa and gym. On the day my wife and I were to go to the spa (and later we had a romantic dinner on the beach planned) we find out that the actual spa facilities won't be ready till December and that the services like facials and massage were being done temporarily out of different rooms in the resort! That was a turn off and we were upset that our plans were ruined and no one told us that this was the situation especially since the selling point was the $400 vouchers which we never used. We also found out on our own that the gym was not going to be ready till December and they had some equipment setup in an outdoor facility, again no one told us. We had planned one night at the nightclub in the hotel. When we got there we observed curtains and old furniture and carpet in total disrepair, very depressing for an otherwise pretty resort, needless to say we ran out of there. In summary the highlight of our experience was the very friendly staff, but key people dropped the ball."

"Overall a fantastic resort, so close to the Cancun airport. I was very impressed by the friendliness of the staff - they seem very sincere, efficient and truly pleasant and funny. The buffet food was good enough. I recommend the teppanyaki place as well as the Mediterranean restaurant. The mexican restaurant is a bit forgetfully. The view is nice at the Grill restaurant but i am not sure about the food. We also crashed the Preferred beach area and bar, which is right downstairs by where we stayed apt 307. We loved the ambiance at the resort and will definitely return.
p.s. the Coco Cafe is also wonderful. "

"Great value! The food was good! I would recommend the Japenese restuarant on the Habachi side. THe other side no airconditioning so it is very Humid. THe Bluewater grill had great lobster tail! Cost 26.00 with 10.00 coupon get it for 16.00 great value. Buffet area was good have different themes each night food, Italian night etc. I would not go to Mexico during a Mexican Holiday. Pleae take note they have specials on the weekends to the locals there was two bus loads that came in. The atmosphere change it was hard to get food, food would run out, You had to race to serve yourself otherwise food be gone even though would refill later. The entertianment at the pool was nice. The staff does a great job. Make sure you reserve a Cabana the day before if you perfer. Ivan was great customer service guy! Walking around making srue you are ok! The Perferred Club Lounge was nice to have to check in and use the facility. I brought two children 5 and 7 they could do there homework for an hour in the Preferred Lounge. I use the private babysitting service. Her name is Lizbeth she was awesome! I felt great leaving my kids. We did not get to use the private pool area because of the kids. That was ok because we enjoyed the music in the big pool area more entertaining. I would just suggest the staff keep up with the public restrooms area and check every hour with almost 100% capacity during Mexican Holiday. I felt I was in third world country bathroom environment since each stall has a trash can you do not want to imagine the smell. Sunday came and the hotel felt back to normal. Tranquility! "

"This was a very beautiful resort. Over all, I'd recommend this resort to anyone and at the same time, I will probably choose a different resort for my second stay just for the fact of experiencing something different. Dinner options were plentiful and breakfast was just perfect. The only con would be that lunch was very limited with options but other than that, it was a perfect stay. I'd recommend this to a friend. "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at Now Sapphire. Great room, great service, great people. Only thing they could improve on would be the restaurant choices of food. Rest, the bar, pool, beach were great!! Thanks to the staff for making our stay enjoyable."

"This is my first time leaving a review for vacations. I want to say that I had a wonderful time. The staff was great from the time we arrived to the time we departed. We got to know some of the staff as well and they remembered our names. I have told my friends and family about the Now Sapphire. I will be coming back to this Resort and Spa. "
