In the nearly 25 years that the Hotel Santa Fe has been in Puerto, the town has grown from a small fishing village of 3,000 people to a thriving town of more than 50,000 people. This growth has been due to Puerto Escondido`s importance as a regional center for agriculture, education, commerce, fishing and tourism and has resulted in the town becoming a vibrant community rather than just a tourist destination. Friendly staff, nearly all of whom speak English, do their best to provide the guests with excellent service and quality hospitality.

The standard rooms are typical of the understated elegance of the Hotel Santa Fe. All are delightful, with natural wood trim and hand made tile floors. Each is furnished with locally made Mexican furniture and hand woven drapes and bedspreads.

The rooms are furnished with either a king size bed, or 2 or 3 double beds. All have lovely tiled bathrooms, with walls and counters done in hand made Mexican tile.

Each room is unique due to the hotel`s interesting architecture. Nearly all rooms have balconies looking out on the beautiful hotel gardens.

The hotel has six Junior Suites that are larger, more gracious spaces than our standard rooms. Each has a comfortable sitting area with a wet bar and fridge, and at least one balcony overlooking the lovely gardens.

The Restaurant:
The beautiful open air restaurant of the Hotel Santa Fe, set under a huge palapa, and overlooking the endless expanse of the Pacific Ocean, is well know for outstanding, delicious food, prepared with great care and expertise by the superb chef, Nicholas Rojas, and his staff. The menu includes the finest, freshest seafood, wonderful Mexican and international dishes, many kinds of salads, excellent desserts and baked goods and daily specials. Hours are from 7am to 10:30pm.
