For price, room small (without a chair-had to bring one in from the deck) & moldy smelling from dampness. Shower seemed to flood the bathroom every time. Poolside room was off lobby and evening entertainment very loud the first evening. Informed there was no other entertainment scheduled during our visit, so did not change room. However, 2 nights later, the music/noise was even louder (as if it was right outside the door). Staff was friendly. Food was good and the variety of restaurants ni... Read more

Food was good, staff wonderful, safe and fun. Lots going on at resort except on some nights felt it would have been nice to have more to do. Resort dis put on fun evening shows but not every night. Club didn't put any music on until after 1040 which was weird. People are in there drinking, playing pool but not even any background music was playing.

The thing the made my time at Dreams amazing, was all of the friendly, genuinely nice employees I met and became friends with. They would go out of their way just to make sure my family and I were having the best time possible. The bartenders made the most thirst quenching drinks ever and the Tequlia Boom Booms, were to die for! If you and the rest of your family want an amazing time, this is the place to go!

Check-in was good, room was good. First morning trip to the beach found towels on chairs everywhere, with no one around. We found some unclaimed chairs, but they were all broken. Yes, that is right. Broken. I went back to the desk to complain and someone did come out and find us 2 unbroken chairs. Every morning thereafter we made coffee in our room, and headed to the beach to claim our chairs and watch the sun rise. One day there were a whole row of chairs under a cabana that were saved, a... it's simple, we were living in paradise for a week. we would do it all over again! from the moment we entered the resort, we were handed champagne, our stay was explained to us, our luggage was brought to our room, our room was showed to us personally by one of the staff members. Food was great, plenty of restaurant choices. the pools, bars, beach and entertainment is all right on the property. Fantastic time!

Overall this was a great resort to stay at and is highly recommended. We had originally chosen Dreams PA for our wedding venue as their staff replied to our requests right away - a lot sooner than any of the resorts in the Riviera. Karla and the rest of the wedding staff were quick to respond to any of our questions, and upon arriving and discussing our wedding plans, we felt a lot more relaxed about the big day; it ran very smoothly and everyone was very professional. It was quite and almost seemed like we were the only ones on the floor. This resort was underwhelming. It's not in keeping with the AM resort chain that I am familiar with. I have stayed at several secrets resorts and even a sunscape resort that had nicer accomodations. The food was below average compared to other AM resort properties - the buffets were very small and the selections were limited. The Mexican restaurant was awful. This was the first time that I've ever left a restaurant and went to the buffet because the food was so bad. That particular night, ... Read more

We have just returned from this hotel and had a wonderful time. Location is ideal, rooms were lovely, and staff were so friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. Food on the whole was pretty good, although breakfast food could have been hotter. Sometimes at busy times a reservation system for the restaurants would have been a good idea.

The resort itself is beautiful, however there is alot of functionality problems in the rooms with Air Conditioners not working properly. I had two connecting rooms on the 5th floor, rooms 538 and 540, and both had issues with A/C and various other problems The biggest complaint I have is the food. Yayyy to me (more money for me vacations..hehe) anyway I have to say the ride from the airport (Cancun) took about 1 hr. but i used a super affordable transportation company (Shhh I'll do a seperate review for them) and I got round trip no share because I knew I was not going to be in the mood to stop at this hotel and that hotel. Wonderful family trip. Traveled with 4&7 year olds. Room faced the dolphin habitat, at first my husband was mad it was not ocean view until the kids were amazed. Our room was always attended to. Everything on this resort was very close..you can see the pool from the beach, great with kids. It's a fight for chairs on the beach so get out there by 8ish. Great service on the beach for drinks and lunch. Snorkeling was amazing right off the beach, we bring our own gear but took a catamaran out on a ... Read more

We just returned from a 10 day trip to Dreams Puerto Adventuras and it was a great trip. We traveled with a group of 7, 4 adults and 3 kids ages 12, 13 & 15 and everyone had a good time. Food was good, we all had a different favorite so we ate at all of the restaurants twice, we didn't go to the buffet for dinner but it was great for breakfast with a large enough selection to please everyone. The pool grill was a favorite with the kids and I have to say the pizzas were a great quick afternoo... Read more

The "Spa by Pevonia" is blessed to have Enrique working there. I have had massages for over 30 years and his was the best I've ever had. His patience, attention to detail and technique was truly amazing. His professionalism truly shined, so much so, that I requested him 2 days later. Thanks to Enrique, the spa at this property is a relaxing experience and well worth the money. The entertainment was exciting, all the pools were clean and the food was of high quality. We enjoyed our stay! Great food, very clean, super service and nice beach! My 4 year old adored the explorers club and it made it easy for us to enjoy some adult time. It was a bit too loud for me at night but that's just my personal preference - we asked for a room change and they made it happen quick!

Get a dehumidifier as soon as you get there. This made all the difference in our comfort. The entertainment staff was the best!! They work a lot but you would never know it. Jorge and Bernice - Awesome! Tips seem to be required to get non watered-down alcoholic drinks.

Again we were unhappy with the rooms. Smelled like cellar and when using the sing it smelled like sewer. The décor was outdated. The Hotel as a whole was much smaller than it appeared on The internet. We were just disappointed for what we paid and what we got.

This was our first time at Dreams Puerto Aventuras. My husband and I just got back to the States Aug 6th 2016. Sadly the resort was not at all what was portrayed via their website. The beach if you would;d like to call it that is pretty much non existent. The beach is very small and mostly if not all c... Read more

If you have small children this place is great. There is lots of activities and water doesn't get deep, so you don't have to worry. Yet, since water doesn't get deep, there is no place to swim. During some times of a day, the ocean's water is probably under three feet. Even in the pools the deepest is 4 feet, so you can't get a proper swimming

I want to mention Edgar from breakfast time at El Patio, Fernando at the Beach and Will at the Lobby bar. Anyway I do not remember every name but we had a very good time, the beach, the fish swimming around you, the food. The pizzas!!! I just do not understand those comments saying do not go there. We had a Dolphin Deluxe #631 great view, room and floor smelled like mildew, the sheets, and all clothing (even our clean clothes) was damp and smelled. The vouchers that you are offered are a JOKE! Do not even waste your time to receive them. You are better off doing everything on your own, the service at the front desk is no help. Dreams is a very deceiving name when it comes to this resort. The area is beautiful with lots to do in the town of Puerto Aventuras. The resort on the other hand needs some help. To be fair it is not a disaster or worse case scenario, however it is 15 years old and hasn't gotten the constant upkeep other amresorts have. Upon arrival (depending on time you get there) expect to be overwhelmed with mass chaos in the tiny lobby with all the guests who are checking in, checking out, or leaving for ... Read more

Great holiday at this lovely hotel. All the staff were very eager to deliver excellent service and nothing was too much trouble. Lots of different restaurants to choose from including Mexican at El Patio, Italian at Portofino, seafood at Ociana, contemporary at red Seaside Grill and themed nights at the World Cafe. The separate adult pool including a swim up bar was a good facility but they insisted on playing loud music all day and we agreed with our children, both >18 yrs, that it would have ... Read more

We just came back from a six nights stay at Dreams - the beach, the room, the service, the food at the restaurants were very good. Coffee was excellent. Other drinks, however, were very watered down, but this is kind of part of an "all-inclusive" deal, anyway. We traveled as a couple with no kids, and it is probably worth mentioning that it's better to request a room ending in an odd number - this means it will be looking over the adult only side, which is much more quieter than the ocean view ... This resort is situated on a beautiful small stretch of beach next to other hotels. The staff were efficient and the food and options were good, except the Mexican restaurant was ironically, not that great. It is a budget friendly resort. Across the board from check in to concierge to all the restaurants/bars. - Very economical. Our 3 days cost less than $600, and that included food/drink. Hard to beat that kind of deal - Not crowded. Some friends and us went to this resort for a week. Like the other reviews have mentioned it is not the most up to date hotel, but it is still nice. We had no problems finding chairs on the beach and at the pool every day. We picked the hotel mainly for the dolphins, and we loved swimming with them. It was nice to just be able to walk out and watch the dolphins whenever you wanted.
