For price, room small (without a chair-had to bring one in from the deck) & moldy smelling from dampness. Shower seemed to flood the bathroom every time. Poolside room was off lobby and evening entertainment very loud the first evening. Informed there was no other entertainment scheduled during our visit, so did not change room. However, 2 nights later, the music/noise was even louder (as if it was right outside the door). Staff was friendly. Food was good and the variety of restaurants ni... Read more

Food was good, staff wonderful, safe and fun. Lots going on at resort except on some nights felt it would have been nice to have more to do. Resort dis put on fun evening shows but not every night. Club didn't put any music on until after 1040 which was weird. People are in there drinking, playing pool but not even any background music was playing.

The thing the made my time at Dreams amazing, was all of the friendly, genuinely nice employees I met and became friends with. They would go out of their way just to make sure my family and I were having the best time possible. The bartenders made the most thirst quenching drinks ever and the Tequlia Boom Booms, were to die for! If you and the rest of your family want an amazing time, this is the place to go!

Check-in was good, room was good. First morning trip to the beach found towels on chairs everywhere, with no one around. We found some unclaimed chairs, but they were all broken. Yes, that is right. Broken. I went back to the desk to complain and someone did come out and find us 2 unbroken chairs. Every morning thereafter we made coffee in our room, and headed to the beach to claim our chairs and watch the sun rise. One day there were a whole row of chairs under a cabana that were saved, a... it's simple, we were living in paradise for a week. we would do it all over again! from the moment we entered the resort, we were handed champagne, our stay was explained to us, our luggage was brought to our room, our room was showed to us personally by one of the staff members. Food was great, plenty of restaurant choices. the pools, bars, beach and entertainment is all right on the property. Fantastic time!

Overall this was a great resort to stay at and is highly recommended. We had originally chosen Dreams PA for our wedding venue as their staff replied to our requests right away - a lot sooner than any of the resorts in the Riviera. Karla and the rest of the wedding staff were quick to respond to any of our questions, and upon arriving and discussing our wedding plans, we felt a lot more relaxed about the big day; it ran very smoothly and everyone was very professional. It was quite and almost seemed like we were the only ones on the floor. This resort was underwhelming. It's not in keeping with the AM resort chain that I am familiar with. I have stayed at several secrets resorts and even a sunscape resort that had nicer accomodations. The food was below average compared to other AM resort properties - the buffets were very small and the selections were limited. The Mexican restaurant was awful. This was the first time that I've ever left a restaurant and went to the buffet because the food was so bad. That particular night, ... Read more

We have just returned from this hotel and had a wonderful time. Location is ideal, rooms were lovely, and staff were so friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. I had two connecting rooms on the 5th floor, rooms 538 and 540, and both had issues with A/C and various other problems The biggest complaint I have is the food. If you have small children this place is great. There is lots of activities and water doesn't get deep, so you don't have to worry. Yet, since water doesn't get deep, there is no place to swim. During some times of a day, the ocean's water is probably under three feet. Even in the pools the deepest is 4 feet, so you can't get a proper swimming

Other drinks, however, were very watered down, but this is kind of part of an "all-inclusive" deal, anyway. So we booked last minute through a JetBlue getaway and this deal was amazing! From the first night we arrived the staff was wonderfully kind and patient with us. We went for our honeymoon and neither of us had been to Mexico, but we both had a small knowledge of Spanish. My husbands was very excited to "try" out his Spanish to all the waiters and bar tenders, I was so please that each one of them waited and helped him try and learn Spanish, even though my husband was speaking very badly they all... The hotel is gorgeous. The beds were so comfortable! Everything felt like a commercial for a luxury resort. The shower had a rainfall shower head and it could easily fit ten people, not that you'd need or want ten people in a shower... The staff was what really sealed the deal for me though! The belhop Daniel and concierge Antonio were the first two we met and every day they would greet us by name. They went above and beyond. Wilder was by far our favorite bartender. He was enthusiastic and fr... Read more

This was probably our 8th or 9th visit to Dreams. It is typically our annual "no worries, no cares" vacation. I have reviewed them several times, but this might be longer than usual. As always, the employees are what make this superior resort change to an outstanding one. The bellmen who greeted us were warm and friendly as always; Gevian at the front desk is a sweetheart. Upon noticing we had requested a high floor and seeing we were only on the 4th floor, he allowed us to move to the 7th ... Read more

We booked at a 2 centre resort, firstly in Cuba and second at Puerto Aventuras ,Mexico around 2009,but was unable to travel to Mexico, owing to the H1N1 outbreak, hence this year, we were very pleased to return to Puerto Aventuras for a 2 week all inclusive holiday. Resort is gated and the hotels and private condominiums are located a very long distance from the main road. It is best to have your own transport, otherwise to rely on taxis, as the public buses /collectivos will only stop at the e... Read more

Almost a year ago my wife and I stayed at the Tulum Dreams and we were blown away. Being UVC members we thought we would try another Dreams and we settled on Dreams Puerto Aventuras. This time we booked 2 rooms so that we could bring our adult daughters. We booked 2 ocean veiw rooms and being members our rooms were upgraded to the 6th floor which we were told were preferred club rooms. The rooms were average , very little areas to store clothing or bags. While 644 had a sofa, 642 had no place to... Read more

Just got back from Dreams Puerto Adventuras and have to say the daily entertainment from Rita & Berenice was incredible! They were like the pied piper with the older kids who loved every game they organised or activity they planned, from Yoga in the mornings to aqua aerobics, pool volleyball, Zip lining, scuba diving nothing was too much trouble they are both an absolute credit to themselves and the resort!

We stayed here for a week and just got back. The cons: After registration we were tricked into listening to a pitch about going to another sister resort to be encouraged to join the Amstar group. They make it sound like this "hotel representative" is going to assist you to your room. There needs to be more chaise lounges at both pools. The buffet restaurant needs more selection at dinner. The food at the Mexican alacarte restaurant is not very good. They need to be sure to replace wash cloth... Read more

Traveled with two 6 years old kids Oct. 31 - Nov. 6. The resort is perfect for kids. Everything is in an arm reach. you can enjoy at the same time to be in the swimming pool and at the beach. My kids loved the kids club. I enjoyed the water exercises. Thanks to Berenice, Rita and Roman. The food was the best I have had in the all inclusive in Riviera Maya. Every plate served was a piece of art. Do not skip going to Polifino restaurant. The room service was perfect 2x per day. Thanks to Yomara ou... Read more

I love this place so much I just made my 12th annual trip there this year. It is a great value, comfortable, friendly and beautiful. The property is constantly maintained and improved. The beach is clean and wonderful. Because it's a smaller hotel, you see the same people often and make great friends with other guests. The food in the 5 restaurants is excellent, the drinks are great, the entertainment is fun. There are dolphins right there, activities and the Explorer Club for the kids. If you ... Read more

My husband and 2 children came to this resort the first week of October. We had not been to the Cancun area previously. Based on reviews I knew this was a great option for our family. Pros: Smaller resort means easier access to everything. Food was really good in the restaurants. Activities were good overall. The size and amenities in our rooms were perfect. Lots of space for stuff and kids. Liked doing Yoga Stretch on the Gazebo out in the ocean each morning. Fun Activities staff. Friendl... Read more

My husband and I were married at this resort in mid November. We stayed from November 16 - 23. In total there were 51 adults that stayed here and one child just over 2 years old. This resort is amazing! The people who complain about this resort are just here to complain. We had an absolutely spectacular time here with all of our friends and family. Right as we stepped into Cancun with a transition from 30 F to a 79 F , the apple vacations crew in their blue and flowery shirts took great care to check us in with no fuss and into our buses heading to the resort. It was a 1.5 hour drive and the driver and our host did well to talk about the Dos and Dont's (the tips on using pesos or the credit card was good). There was another surprise for us when we stepped into the resort as they led us to the 'preferred club' checkin as an upgrade for our ... Read more
