I stayed at the hotel with an almost 80 y.o. friend who lives in Mexico and who has stayed here probably 10 times. He wanted one of the rooms facing the street (a choice most knowledgable travelers in Mexico would not make). We shared the room and I think the price was $540 per night for the two beds. The room was a bit to basic, for this once proud but now run down hotel - for the price charged. The street traffic made sleeping almost popular. "Inside" rooms would have been quieter. I lo... This place is an older hotel that has a lot of character. Rooms are a little dark built around a central courtyard area which is quite common in Mexico. Staff are helpful, friendly and patient with my bad Spanish. It is a very short walk to the Zocalo and central area. Recommended.

The hotel is nice in general but a very weak point is the breakfast. Just marmelade and butter with some toast bread slides. Staff a bit bored even though kind enough. Cleannes is not one of it's good points. If you have no problems with all these then it's a good place situated in the heart of the city center and you can do everything on foot.

The plumbing worked, the bed was very firm, the WiFi was good and I didn't have to climb stairs. A descent and very inexpensive hotel, I paid about 30 dollars for a night for a single person. At the desk, not via the Internet.

If you want to enjoy the downtown area and look for a very reasonable price, this is your place! Two blocks from Parian market, Rosario Chapel, main square, etc. It is true that it is litlle bit noisy, but remember, many if not most Mexicans do not mind noise, they even need it not to feel lonely. Rooms on the street side are noisy, but have much better light. I was impresed with the cleanliness of the place.

This is a cheap hotel, one of the few with free parking since is very close to the cathedral, we took a 4 person room with 2 beds, is quite big, I understand that they cannot change the structure of the building and since this is a very antique hotel, the distribution is not the best, the bathroom is very small you and you can see pipes in there (the administration should cover those), also the door of the bathroom is so old, that in the bottom side you can see how is wearing cause of the time, ...
