My review of the week I spent at the PYP! Rooms & Resort - very clean! The staff is ALWAYS cleaning. The maid did an excellent job in our room each day and left some adorable towel animals that we enjoyed very much. We had a room on the 3rd floor of building 2, no swim out - and we were totally happy with it. It was on the backside so it was very quiet. If your going for a party, ask for something close to the main pool. We wanted quiet and that's what we got. I've heard people complain about... Read more

The service here is exceptional the staff can't do enough to help you always asking if you need anything else or can they do any more to help. The grounds and hotel are immaculately maintained, the staff constantly picking up rubbish, every morning they are cleaning the pools the beach and the rooms, the grounds are constantly being maintained... Fantastic resort, everything clean and beautiful. The room was comfortable and large with swimout pool. The staff was friendly and courteous to our needs and really organize. The food was amazing, a good variety of restaurants, for us the top was brusccheta and the main buffet yucatan. Every day the hotel has different activities for fun, traditional and international. Amazing time....I will recommended!!

We had a very relaxing trip and agree with many of the reviews. The beach is a short walk (5 minutes max) and we were in building 2. The work out facilities were adequate and the restaurants were clean and food was good. I loved that they had different drink tastings every night and entertainment. The drinks were a bit weak but that was solved by requesting an additional shot, which the were happy to honor. We scheduled a massage and they were extremely professional and the spa/Jacuzzi was ... Nice and luxurious Hotel, if you like the pamper, luxury, commodities and the drinking madness this should one of your choice. The food is very poor not any Mexican flavor at all. The staff super friendly, clean rooms. The beach is full of bed rocks so is extremely painful to go inside the water, also Playa still having a small issues with the seaguee.

We only stayed here one night as we had reservations at the hotel next door which is four to five times more expensive a night! This place dollar for dollar blows away almost all other all inclusive resorts we have stayed at. If you want luxury at a great price this place is perfect. Lots of top shelf choices, and food is decent for an all inclusive. The only negative is the rocky beach, but that is true for that whole area. The resorts are amazing. Beautiful location, rooms, pools, beach, buildings, and very wonderful staff. Marble floors (slippery when wet. Wear foot wear with a good tred.) New buildings, manicured and natural areas, pools are extensive with group gathering areas and quiet private areas. Great hotel. Building 1 was quieter than those at main pool, which was busy and quite noisy. No complaints about food, good selection. We found the buffet restaurant had good variety with fab staff, especially Consuelo who really made our holiday with the special touches she made to the table settings. Housekeeping was first class and the hotel was spotless. If I had to make one negative comment it would be about the entertainment - not that it was bad, the animation team were very good. The iss... Everything was perfect- the food, the service, the room, all of it. The staff made us feel so welcome and comfortable, and the premises is very secure. It seems the beach was very rocky. Not much activity on the beach. I think you should have something like on a ship almost a cruise director. A person who gets people involved. Activities throughout the evening. You should also have at buffet open through midnight. If you take a tour and get home late or just want some type of snack should have a place to go. If you do not drink at night not much activity going on. And besides the glasses of water who about bottled water. Thank you

There are positives and negatives to this hotel depending on what you are looking for. Our room was quite large, well equipped and kept beautifully clean by the housekeeping staff. Loved the towel animals that were left during our stay. Room 2129 looked onto gardens away from main pool. Room could have done with a full length mirror though but that is a minor issue. My biggest gripe was that we were never able to sit and relax at main pool because it really was rather noisy most of the day.Ther... Read more

The big draw for us was the swim out pool. We were able to get a Junior Suite away from the main pool area, and essentially had it to ourselves for our stay. Everything is well kept and clean. Room furnishings were modern and maintained. Food wasn't exactly a foodies paradise, but I'd suggest you avoid the buffet unless it's for breakfast. Overall, I'd go again, but only after exploring other options in the area.

We very much enjoyed our visit to this resort. We especially enjoyed the swim-out room, no hassle trying to find a beach chair each morning. Well worth the extra fee. The food was very good at Rodeo Grill, Aroma and Bruschetta. Although there was good variety at the main buffet, much of the hot food was cold and not very tasty. Our trip to the Yucatan Princess was smooth and easy from the moment we touched down in Cancun. Everyone seemed prepared for our arrival, check-in was easy, and our rooms were beautiful. All the restaurants were enjoyable, especially Tao - the chef was hilarious and had us laughing all dinner long. The Platinum area of the beach was private and the bar was very close. The pool was a lot of fun - we had our own private area (Swim out rooms) but could easily join the main area with pool bar a... Read more

The Platinum Yucatan Princess was a fantastic resort. My husband and I stayed in a Platinum Deluxe Swimout room and could not have been happier with our choice. The staff was friendly, amenities were wonderful, and the beach was about a one minute walk from our room. There was a wide variety of food options, but not all restaurants were open each night, so we had to pay close attention to the schedule... but the 24 hour room service was a great bonus!

The hotel is really great in terms of service, food, cleanliness and all one can expect - except for the daytime entertainment at the main pool every afternoon. It is basically a drunken frat house party that creates a mess of food and garbage all around the pool. We could not use our swim out patio due to the pile of mess and ignorant drunks. We had to change rooms to another building, which was perfect. We spoke to 3 other couples who had the same experience and had to change rooms to be able ... Read more

Nice resort and grounds, but a few changes are needed to make this a truly 5* resort - as they claim to be. Upon check-in there was very minimal information about the resort provided. Just a sheet about restaurant opening times - which was out of date, and a map. They failed to inform us that if you book a massage in the spa within your first 24 hours, you get 50% off. We actually went in 2014, in September only 20 days after this resort opened its doors. Everything was brand new! And they tried really hard to please us. The greens, plants and trees were still growing, so it looked a little cold, but understandable since they had just opened up. We got a free upgrade, again, they were trying to win the guests over. Please don't let the bad reviews sway u. The people complaining are the kind of people who try to use expired coupons and ask to speak to the manager anyhow or the type of people who complain that the garbage truck is too loud but that garbage pick up isn't frequent enough. u know the type.... the ones who are never happy and overall really annoying. I was concerned that I might not be happy with the hotel but it was the best vacation and we have been quite a few places before..we stayed in the ... Read more

Because of long delays to get previous reviews published, I swore I would never write another one but because I love this place so much, here I am! We visited the week of November 15, 2016. We were also here in November 2014 during the soft opening and we were excited to see the changes done since then. We ate at most of the ala carts, and our favorites were Rodeo Grill or La Bruschetta. I would recommend attending the Mexican night for the authentic Mexican cuisine at the bar plaza! We were in the 3000 block that overlooked the main pool. During the day it was busy, however around 6 or 7 pm it was very quiet. My only complaints about the ro... Read more

We stayed at this hotel 15th-30th November and I was wary after reading some reviews. No need! Absolutely fell in love with the place. This was our 2nd visit to Mexico but stayed at a different hotel last year. I don't know where to start...room cleaning- spot on. Towels always changed daily. Fridge restocked every day. Towel art left every day. Didn't use the pool really as we preferred the beach where we were served by Marvi, who is a wonderful, kind and pleasant girl and nothing was too much... Read more
