Loved this place; had a top restaurant (Mayan Bistro), wonderful breakfast buffet, strong location off the main strip (I'd prefer to save $$ and walk to the beach and stores), and guest services were tremendous. Couldn't believe how nice and clean it was for the price. Luis and Christopher are both top notch gentlemen. Would recommend for all .... This hotel is a little gem in the centre of Playa del Carmen. Very clean, great restaurant, serviced minded and helpful staff. Rooms are good sized and from your room straight into the pool. In the heart of the city but very quiet. Whenever going back to Playa we will stay here again, for sure! (we liked it way more than a big resort)Thanks to all the staff for a wonderfull 2 week stay. It really felt like holiday.

The hotel was nice for the price and the Staffs was nice. The layout of the hotel was a lil confusing to navigate through. Also, I didn't like how the bathroom were not a separate room from the bed. Overall, I had a good experience and I'll def stay there in my future travel to Mexico.

The location is second to none - just a tad secluded from the hustle and bustle of lovely 5th Ave - is an oasis of calm and beauty. This hotel smacks of culture and the staff could not be nicer! We were in room 151 - basic room but very clean. Poor wifi on the property, but this cannot be helped. The restaurant is bonus serving a lovely breakfast in the morning with gracious staff always smiling and helpful. Also, the dinners at the Mayan Bistro, in this hotel, are superb. The staff were really welcoming on arrival giving us a map of the area and told us we could use two of the beach bars for free. We could also borrow beach towels. We love small Boutique Hotels and this was perfect. Walking distance to 5th street. The rooms are very clean, beds very comfortable and air conditioning cold. The room we had was equipped with a small dorm size fridge and microwave, coffee pot, dishes and utensils. There was a 5 gallon jug of bottled water too. The pools were perfect size just to relax and cool off in. We will definitely stay again. Everyone there was helpful and courteous.

This hotel is a few steps from that road which mean you don't have to worry about taking taxi or renting a car. Also is a walking distance of the better beach bar, Mamitas. You can use any of the beach clubs to complement your stay (hotel guests get a discount in at least one), and then you can move around the city or the area attractions. This is a nice hotel, good restaurant, very close to 5th street. Beds were amazing, air conditioning worked great, pools were nice and clean. They had a excursion desk with the best prices and great excursions ( see Luis). They provided coffee makers, mini refrigerator, microwave, dishes, silverware , room safe Note: no elevator, and hot water pressure was at zero...but it really wasn't a big deal for us. You can book private airport transportation through there web site at a good price. 2 block... Read more

The place was amazing and the staff were very courteous. Aventura Mexicana is located in the center of everyone in Playa. I only had one issue, our bathroom didn't have a door. It was a very open room with a 1/2 wall dividing the bathroom and sleeping area. If you need privacy, you need to go to the bathroom downstairs by the pool area. Not sure of all rooms are situated the same.

It's a good, small hotel. The staff is very attencious. The room is OK. There is a small pool. The best thing is the location, right next to the 5th avenue. Walking distance to everywhere. Nice restaurants around.

Stayed here before heading to a cancun all inclusive resort. SHOULD HAVE STAYED HERE IN PLAYA DEL CARMEN. Great staff, great location. Right near 5th ave, plenty of restaraunts around, laundry close if you are staying for a longer time. Good value, clean rooms, a/c is epic! We did find the shower was not very hot, but that can be a blessing in disguise. Will return some day to this small quaint botique hotel. The photos online do not do it justice.

Not my first time at the Adventura Mexicano. Actually it's the only place I will stay when in Playa Del Carmen. Every time we visit it's a grand slam homerun. Incredible staff. Rooms are kept very neat air-conditioning is great. From the moment you walk in at the front desk or book an activity it is just a magical place for me. The food is great in the restaurant, the Mayan Bistro. I have noticed basically the same staff there for many many years. It's so well run. The pool and the resta... Read more

Everything about our stay was wonderful. From checkin, to sleeping in, to breakfast to checkout! We would never have guessed this hotel was 5 meters from 5th avenue as it is such a quiet, relaxing spot! The two pools are perfectly sized, our favorite was the one in front of the vine wall with the big sun-figure in the center. The lush tropical landscaping here is impeccable. The breakfast (included with your stay) is amazing! Whole-grain toast with a huge selection of jams, along with coff... Read more

My wife and I just returned from Playa where we stayed at the Aventura for 4 nights. The location of the hotel is great, between 5th and 10th Avenues on Calle 24. Anything we wanted was within easy walking distance of the hotel. The Aventura is divided into family and adult sections and there's a good, small restaurant on the property. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was disappointed to find the Wi-Fi access was limited. There was no signal at all in our room and we had to find ... Read more

My fiancé and I have just returned from our first trip to Playa, having randomly booked this hotel on Expedia as part of a package. My goodness we struck gold with this wonderful boutique hotel. We would never have guessed that we were a few metres from 5th Avenue, it was so peaceful and chilled with gorgeous, shady palms surrounding two pools, one for adults only and a gorgeous bistro restaurant open from breakfast onwards. This hotel is clean and the breakfasts are outstanding. This is possible do to a great staff, especially, Daniel, Rob, Dora and Christina. This doesn't mean I have forgotten the others i.e. front desk, maintenance. It takes the whole crew to make a great hotel like this. My only derogatory comment, is 1108 is not of suite quality. However, with a few minor repairs and addition, it could be brought up to that standard. Otherwise, it is a great place to stay, is steps away from all activities... Read more

My husband and I just got back two weeks ago from Playa deal Carmen and we were so pleased with the service in this hotel. First, it was clean. The staff are friendly and the breakfast was great. They provided us each day with beach towels. The hotel is perfectly located within 2 to 3 blocks from the beach and though it's a half block from 5th avenue you do not hear the noise of all the visitors on 5th. The bed was very comfortable, the environment was quiet at night. Breakfast at the Mayan Bistro was included. We had a room several floors above the central courtyard and restaurant, in what must have been the child-free zone. It was very clean and cheerful, making up for the absence of an elevator (but note: we had to ascend two flights of very steep stairs, so that might be a deal-breaker for some). The restaurant is great, the breakfast choices are fine, and the hotel and restaurant service is very good. The yoga studio seemed quite pleasant, as it was very busy throughout our stay.
