"We stayed at the Paradise Village for 13 nights. The resort is on a beautiful beach on Banderas Bay and after walking the beach each day it seems that Paradise Village is on the best section of the beach. We were impressed with the number of beach chairs and palapas. Even though the resort was busy we were always able to find shade and a comfy chair. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The rooms and grounds were clean and well maintained. Not a lot of variety in restaurants but the food was very good at the Tulum and Mayapan restaurants. With the all inclusive plan you can order off the menu and we tended to do that over choosing the buffets.

We got the basic room and were disappointed with having only double beds, not queen. One other downside was the lack of evening entertainment. No shows after dinner, the theme nights had a bit of live music, the comedy show was terrible, some activity/pool staff members dressing up and doing some skits.

The resort is geared for famiies and many take advantage of the kids under 12 stay for free option so there is a casual feel to the resort and many young families. Would not recommend this resort for couples."

"I have not had a bad experience in Mexico until visiting Paradise Village...now having said that....its just not for everyone and I probably should have researched a little better so its mostly my own fault.

Resort is huge....Id rather Hacienda style and smaller, getting from the room to anywhere is at least 15 minutes

English is terrible-BUT I suck with Spanish....hard to complain BUT have never stayed at a Resort where Staff barely spoke English.....especially didnt expect this with 5 star status.
Room was ok....dated and smelled musty...but again, it was fine just had higher expectations for 5 star, it was roomy and spacious though, bathroom was way too small for 3 women in 1 room.
Food....not very good..Tulum was the best..the only oher place was mayapan on the pool deck and was never good...greasy food, and not enough healthy choices
Towels at pool deck only big enough for a 5 yr old...and very ratty looking, sun chairs, kind of old fashioned plastic with blue mesh...very hard to lay flat on them.

Completely KID resort, do not go here if you have young adults...its boring and absolutely nothing to do, unless you want to watch a pantomime or a pinata breaking, or get a balloon hat...yay!

wrong setup- KID pool...not interested in screaming kids peeing in my pool water, adult pool...completely silent and no activities for the adult pool, i dont understand why they dont make the lap pool the quiet pool....senseless!

Staff...unfriendly however I do believe the language is a barrier for sure and you get the feeling management warns against association with guests.

We met some really nice staff members that made our stay enjoyable....they made it for us...3 people.

Efficiency of staf...I say wait wait wait, then get it yourself, the setup for breaky was terrible...omlette line up about 10 ppl long, 1 staff member making them with 3 tiny fry pans....OMG

I would never recommend to a friend unless tey had 3 kids under the age of 6
Stay at the Royal Decameron...more fun better value"

"wonderful time, the staff was great. i had the all inclusive ate like a king, the resort was quite. i had fun riding the bikes and kayaks. i stayed 5 days, wish it was 10. i look forward to returning"
