Great place if you can get a good price on it. Try Kayak!! We only paid something like USD$90 per night, then we get there and see the walk-up rate was over $250 per night. Great place. Rooms are great and clean. Staff is awesome! Bar is hardly a bar as it is in the middle of the lobby and almost never open, but who cares? You are in Mexico City! There are bars everywhere!

The only good things about this hotel: location, price (though there are other options), and fast wifi. Other than that, it was not good. The bed is a ROCK, the lighting is really dim, and oh man - that bathroom. First, the door to the bathroom is opaque glass, with no sound dimming whatsoever, so if you are rooming with someone, know that they will hear EVERY move you make in there. The tile went across the floor and up all bathroom walls and the caulk in between was GROSS - somewhere between ... Read more

This hotel is situated near the Zocolo in Mexico City so well located but beware - the service is very bad. When we checked in we were told a completely different price than the one we were quoted when we called. As well, we were told that breakfast was included and for the price, it definitely should have been, but they didn't honour that and charged us for breakfast on top of an already high hotel room price. We were very polite but insistent and they would not bend at all and surprisingly,... Read more

Since I travel with a crawling baby I wanted to share my experience for other parents. This is a very nice and accommodating hotel in a great location in central México City. We stayed in a superior room. The room was huge. The floors are laminate and were very clean for the baby to crawl around. The provided crib was small but sufficient. The blanket for the crib was way too big and I had to do some blanket wrangling so that the baby wouldn't get too hot. The bathroom is really large and has ... Read more

Unless you're an acrobat, request a handicap-accessible room. Climbing up and down an unstable step-stool to get over a high tub wall and into the tub/shower is difficult and dangerous, especially when wet and slippery. The odd design could easily have been replaced with a safe and convenient walk-in shower, and maybe it will be, someday. On the plus side, the bathroom included a spacious counter, and a specially designed door allowed the toilet to be used separately from the rest of the bat... Read more

Perfect location. Steps away from Zocalo and a shirt walk to Bellas Artes. The hotel is clean, staff is friendly. I will be choosing this hotel for my next trip to Mexico City. I recommend this hotel.

As a solo traveler for the first time, I was quite tensed visiting Mexico City but this hotel made all the difference. It is centrally located from major attractions in the Zocalo area, waking distance to all major restaurants as well as the local/traditional favorites. This is quite close to the Palace of Fine Arts if you plan to watch the Ballet show. The front desk can be a tad slow but they are courteous. Room is quite posh, has a safe & a lovely feel to the decor. You can arrange few day tr... Read more

We were booked for two nights over the Revolution Day holiday weekend. Four days before our booking was cancelled. We were offered a room at the sister hotel at the airport (hello! We wanted to be in the historic district). Other than that we were on our own in a city where very few rooms were left. Booking.com did offer to assist us find a room. We had to pay a lot more than budgeted and booking.com offered to refund half of the difference. The reason given for the cancellation was that two flo... Read more

The location of the hotel was excellent. However, i found the bathtub/shower difficult to use because of the awkward position and depth to get in and out of the tub. Not good for elderly or those with mobility problems. Breakfast buffett was ok, nothing to write home about. Better to go out to any of the other restaurants, i.e. VIPS, Sanborns or Bisquets. Better food at lower prices. Bar was totally unsatisfactory, poor service, inept bartender, long wait for service. Go out of hotel for ... Read more

The NH Mexico City Centro Historico is located one block away from Zocalo. It is walking distance of most of the Centro Historico attractions. It is far enough away from all of the noise. The rooms are of a pretty decent standard. The bed was a little bit too hard for my liking. The rooms are a decent size. The free breakfast is pretty standard chain hotel. Nothing too exciting, though enough food to keep you going for a good few hours. The free wifi is a bonus. It is not the fastest, though... Read more
