I got this hotel for what felt like a sweet deal, but you really do get what you pay for. In hindsight, I wish I would've done some more research on my first trip to Mexico City and stayed in a different neighborhood. This hotel caught my eye because it's right in the Centro Historico and close to the Zocalo. For those attractions, yes, this hotel is perfect, and the architecture is cool too. If you want to go to Polano, La Condessa, or Reforma, you'll be spending a good amount of time and mon... Read more

Just to confirm that the staff, facilities, friendly and efficient service provided as well as a strategic location, housed in a historic building, all make this an excellent choice. Particularly rooms with two double beds that provide a very attractive offering for families. Well done to this team in Mexico City, and thanks for helping make our stay run smoothly and well!

I stayed here for a long weekend trip and had a pretty good experience. The room was quite small but it didn't bother me that much. Their location though is superb. They're about 2 blocks from Zocalo, a few minutes walk to Museu Nacional de Arte, Museum of Fine Arts and their beautiful post office. The neighborhood is filled with historic buildings and there are good art galleries and smaller museums that pepper the area. The area though seems completely empty at night which made it look ju... Hotel was smaller than expected, but centrally located and concierge very helpful in providing transportation and coordinating tour suggestions. Queen double suite was clean and fair size. My sister booked similar room on booking.com and got cheaper rate and larger square footage. Window view was of old building across the street with graffiti, but we didn't spend much time in room so that was not an issue. Included buffet breakfast was a plus and variety of food was adequate. This hotel is located in a historic building. Wonderful location near Zocalo with so many things to do and see right around the hotel. It feels very local and busy. The rooftop terrace is a bonus relaxing spot. I also appreciate the hotel being very generous in refreshing 2 or even 4 huge bottles of water in my room every day, which is really convenient for foreign travelers. Rebecca did a great job with housekeeping in my room. While being so central, my room was quiet enough. The main reason... Read more

We stayed in this lovely hotel for 5 days in July 2016. Everything in the hotel was very good - the service, food, room and location. It was very well positioned in the old part of Mexico city and was very close to restaurants, the square, shopping and currency exchanges. The reception staff was outstanding, especially Daniella. There was tea/coffee 24/7 which was a great bonus. The hotel also had free Wi Fi and we were allowed us to use the hotel computers. I can safely recommend this hotel to ... Read more

We had never stayed here and we knew it was an old historic building. However, it is in excellent condition and centrally located in the Centro Historico which is a huge benefit. Our room was very clean, well equipped and comfortable. Besides variable water pressure while showering (it is an old building) we had no other issues. The staff here is amazing. Without exception, every employee was courteous, attentive and professional.

The breakfast was sumptuous and the staff very friendly and efficient. The location is very convenient. Most must be visited historical sites are a short walk away. Our stay during the Independence Day celebration could not have been better. The location is perfectly situated near many major attractions such as El Zocalo, Bellas Artes, etc. Don't miss out on the terrace, great place to enjoy some drinks and relaxing outdoors. The staff was always helpful and attentive. We had a room with windows towards the street but the sound did not keep us from sleeping soundly. Quite a good hotel, decent prices, clean, comfortable beds and good service. Breakfast is included and they offer a variety of alternatives; at the same building there are two restaurants, good enough if you get late and need to eat close to the hotel or if you want room service; however they are expensive compared to other options around. This hotel is very well located at the historical centre and you can walk to main historical attractions

We stayed here for a week. The concierge was very helpful with local restaurants and shops. He also had maps available. The location is close to the Historic Center, National Cathedral, Templo Mayor. We used Uber to go to several museums and restaurants. The TripAdvisor app has an Uber link by the map, this is very helpful.

This Hampton is a great budget hotel in a very central location. It's only two short blocks from the Zocalo and close to many shops and restaurants. The price is very reasonable and the facilities are nice. We had two queen beds in our room with a TV, and had an extra entry room with a sofa, desk and another TV. The bathroom was nice as well as the shower, good water pressure. Free breakfast, WiFi, and cable. I would recommend staying here. If I return to Mexico City I will definitely stay here ... Read more

Hotel staff was friendly, very clean rooms and great eats at Garabatos! This is located in the heart of the Historic downtown district. Amazing location within walking distance to museums, cathedrals, and shopping!

Stayed here November 13th to the 16th. The hotel staff are nice and will respond to you to make sure everything is fine. The location is the best part as you can walk to the Cathedral and other placed in the Zocalo. Will come back next year. The concierge Alexandro and Martin were helpful and provided us with transportation and location. The driver Gustavo was the best as he took us to Museum of Anthropology, Xochimilco, and other sites. Would recommend hotel provide transportation for taking yo... Read more

Overall, I tink this is a very good hotel and I would recommend staying here. It is just two blocks from the major public square in the city (Zocalo). Most of the big tourist sites in the Centro Historico are also within walking distance of the hotel, and Uber rides are dirt cheap in Mexico City. The hotel is a renovated historical building and is beautifully done. All the staff we encountered spoke English and were very polite. Our room was a suite with two queen beds in a bedroom and a sofa ... Read more

This Hampton Inn is, like any other Hampton Inn, quite good in terms of comfort and has all general amenities any other in the chain would have. Rooms are in general a bit smaller than other Hamptons but the main advantage in this hotel is the location. You will be two blocks away from Zocalo and the Cathedral. There are two very good restaurants right at the entrance one on each side offering seafood, mexican or even vegetarian options. The staff is very helpfull and reliable. Have been here se... The hotel was clean. The employees were always polite, respectful & helpful. The maid service was excellent every day. I accidentally left my passport in the room the day of our departure. We called the hotel, they checked our room immediately, found it & were prepared to drive it to the airport for me when I returned to pick it up. The staff is amazing. And that ceiling...!

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The location is excellent and the staff was very helpful. This was my first visit to the city of Mexico and I would love to return soon. I stayed on the second floor in a small room with a king size bed. There was no view (glass was frosted) but since i was not in my room during the day I didn't mind. I definitely recommend this place and this area in general.

I stayed 5 nights at this Hampton. This is a well run, clean property. The rooms and hotel may be a bit quirky, due to its unique history and location. This is more for those who do not wish to experience a "sterile" corporate hotel. It is located in a vibrant area, at least in the afternoon and evening. There are TONS of shopping and restaurants as well as historical buildings in the area. It is not in the central business district, so factor that into your planning. We used Uber and the Metro ... We experience hot water issues in this accommodation. The front desk receptionist just told us off that we just had to turn on the shower longer. We did, unfortunately, it didn't help. We reckon that the heated water wasn't able to handle the accommodation's capacity. Therefore we had to shift our schedule to one where we had showers before anybody else.. Having hot water availability, I think, is the basic necessity of any paid accommodations. Definitely a bad experience. Hopefully Hampton Inn... Read more

This is the noisiest hotel I ever stayed at. You can hear every sound in the atrium. Guests in adjacent rooms are easily overheard. Everyone passing in the hallway and slamming doors will keep you awake all night.

I booked Pyramid tour through the concierge desk. Lots of delay at every step. The tour wasted my time and gave a terrible experience. In addition, there is unreasonable refund process. Don't waste your time and money for it.

Nice and comfy with nice staff. It has a nice ceiling and an old building. Very close to Palacio the Bellas Artes and Zocalo. Mexican/American style breakfast with pastries. The internet is not perfect but it works. It completely stopped working 11pm the night before our departure. Clean room & nice terrace. Very quiet.
