I spent 8 nights in total here recently (6 nights, then another 2 after a quick trip to Queretaro) and it was so-so. I'd paid a bit extra for the business lounge which was probably just about worth it overall, but not by much. The buffet breakfast was pretty limited (especially if you went a little later as they didn't replenish things from what I saw) and the free drinks in the evening firstly were only available for 1 1/2 hours each day (including soft drinks, which is pretty tight), secondly ... Location was fine. Language barrier was apparent often. The staff made little effort to assist with problems and issues. When things got a bit rough, the staff seemed more able to understand and speak English. Stayed 6 nights and the room key was changed at least 12 times, which caused delays in our schedule and irritation after a long day of walking and touring. Our room itself was standard; bathroom smelled of mold, very slow draining sink and TV did not work as expected (2 English channe... Read more

I stayed 3 nights and found it to be excellent. Breakfast buffet was outstanding, rooms had everything needed, dinner and service without fault. The only thing I thing they should do is NOT charge to use the computers in the Business Centre, a small point I know and it was not expensive but so many hotels do not charge. Would I stay again...... yes without a doubt and look forward to doing it.

This is a hotel that has very high standards all together. The rooms have everything you need and in excellent condition. However the other amenities where not great and can also say expensive (breakfast, tours etc). Go to one of the nearby restaurants for breakfast and get a licensed taxi to take you places if you are not on your own.

My fiance and I stayed here for 6 nights. The location was perfect. It is within walking distance to Parque Chapultapec, Angel de la Independencia, Roma and Condesa. We felt that neighborhood was safe and it didn't seem to congested during the day although it is in a more financial area. There is a bakery for breakfast right down the street as well as a few restaurants in the area. The main reason I was drawn to the hotel was the rooftop pool which was excellent. It was nice to be able to relax ... Read more

When we checked in we were met with indifference here are your rooms. My friend who had planned the trip had to firmly inform the desk clerk that we (hubby and I) had a handicapped accessible room with roll-in shower. Well I'll check, suddenly we had the rooms she had reserved. After that encounter everything was great. Breakfast buffet was great. good variety of food choices. Great room service too. I stayed at this hotel for a week during a business trip. The location was good and the rooms quite large with the standard comfort you would expect in a business hotel. The roof top was nice but the pools small and the water not very deep. Breakfast buffet was good. I had a room on a lower floor at the back of the hotel and was unable to sleep during two nights due to very loud music outside. The staff did not come across as very friendly or service oriented.

Good centrally located hotel that seem to cater to the business traveler. It worked well as we stayed for a weekend and was convenient. The buffet for breakfast was average. They could make huge improvements with fresh items, such as fresh fruit juices that Mexico is so we'll known to have as well as breads instead of packaged ones. The from was very clean and was serviced at least two times a day.

Spend 4 days in Mexico city for working reasons. Big hotel just a street nearby Paseo de Reforma. Perfect location near several multinational companies, restaurants, shops, etc. Also close to Chapultepec if you want to run or jog, as many people do early in the morning. Rooms are small but with enough space, good wifi. Breakfast is ok. Very reasonable price. I would probably stay again in my next trip to México City.

Whilst we were on a business trip to Mexico late last year, we decided to do a lightning tour of Mexico. Our first hotel was the Galleria Plaza in the Zona Rosa (the pink zone, the swishest part of the city). It is a super luxury hotel, the bedrooms were enormous, the public rooms elegant and it even had a roof top swimming pool with a view of the famous Mexico City Angel. We visited the Palace of Fine Arts for an evening of Mexican ballet (The Palace has an enormous glass safety curtain... Read more

Great place to stay. It was my first time out of the U.S. and this place got me off to an excellent start. Very friendly staff and an excellent concierge staff. The hotel has two restaurants and my room package included the breakfast buffet which was very good. The hotel also can arrange various group tours of the city sights and has several private taxis waiting outside to take you where ever you want to go. Price wise it is on the up side but well worth it and perfect for someone's first time ... Read more

We really enjoyed our stay at Galeria Plaza. Every single person on the staff was welcoming and kind. We had a small issue with air conditioning in our room when we arrived very late and very tired from a long international flight. They immediately moved us without hesitation. The rooms are small but perfect for ones needs. There is so much to explore around Mexico City. We are in the bar and loved it. We it in the "wine bar" and thought it was just average. Stayed here on a recent business trip. I have not one complaint from my 3 days there. Location is perfect. Within walking distance is everything I could ask for. The staff was very accommodating right from the front desk to the concierge. Every morning I'd walk down to front door to take a taxi and had to say hello about 20 times on the way. Ate in the attached higher end restaurant and it was fantastic. My Suckling Pig was to die for. The rate was considerably less the the other large hotels i... Read more

Hope this review help people avoid having a bad experience in this hotel. I arrived late at night confident that my reservation was confirmed; long story short, they cancelled my reservation claiming that American Express Travel Agency didn't gave them a security number of my card. This hotel was part of an air/hotel package. The hotel is well located in the Reforma area of Mexico City and is walkable to many restaurants and museums. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is dated and the rooms while clean needed a facelift. The shower drain did not work properly and several complaints never resolved the issue. A well located hotel within walking distance of many places of interest to tourists, and judging by the number of businessmen at breakfast, well located to commercial centres. The lobby was crowded with people waiting for service, but staff seemed to be more interested in staring out to the outside world. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast choices were very good, but staff were overeager to get customers out of the place and plates were whisked away if you dared to pause to che... Read more

If business or pleasure takes you to the Zona Rosa, the Galeria Plaza isn't a bad choice. I booked an Executive Room, but none of the executive privileges were explained to me at check-in. The entire check-in experience was quite poor actually, and in spite of that I enjoyed my stay. Breakfast in the Executive Lounge on the 11th floor was okay--small, continental, but good food and self-service. The gym on the Penthouse level is small, and needs some updates and service to the equipment.

I have staid 10-20 times at this hotel. Last time me and a colleague was kicked out of the lobby bar area outside the restaurante entrance for bringing with us coffee from Starbucks. I have even eaten there various times... When I commented this to the receptionist they did not do anything. Via e-mail they requested my phone number to call me up, but they never did. My conclusion is that they don´t care. Needless to say, from now on I go to another hotel whenever I return to Mexico City,
