I booked online and knew that I was going to be late. I called the hotel twice once at 3 and again at 4.They told me everything was fine. When I arrived they already knew I had been charged for the night and charged me again for the night. I stayed 3 nights. They never mentioned it which I thought shady. When I discovered it, I pointed it out and they really did nothing ever nor tried. Fernando at the front desk just kept saying it was not possible. I told them that because I am in the city fre... If you are a USA citizen the rooms might seam small but its a pretty average size if you traveled enough. They are very nice, and the tub has jet streams (regular size tub turned jacuzzi), very nice. The staff is excellent. There is Mario El Capitan at the restaurant, and Martin at the lobby who try very hard to make your stay wonderful.

Emporio Reforma is conveniently located for trips to Centro and the museums of Chapultepec and Polanco. The staff is friendly and quick to respond to requests. Good breakfast spread. We would gladly stay there again.

This hotel has a great location along the Passeo de la Reforma in Mexico City. The hotel is a beautiful building and updated rooms. The hotel staff went the extra mile to make sure my stay was enjoyable. I was really impressed with the high level of customer service. My company had decided to use the Emporio for a business meeting, and Ricardo Venancio Leyvas Cruz was one of the hotel associates that went to great lengths to ensure we received top notch service. I will stay here again.

From the moment you arrive you are greeted by friendly and professional staff who can't seem to do enough to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable. Many of the staff are there for over ten years, which in a hotel is a very long time. What is more remarkable is that many of the staff remember you even after many years and thousands of other guests in between. The hotel's central location, on the Paseo de la Reforma, make trips to the local sights within walking distance or a short bus ride awa... Read more

I've stayed at the hotel before. That is why I booked another stay there. The central location in Mexico city makes it ideal for sightseeing. The hotel staff, restaurant, and amenities are first rate. The staff is helpful, courteous, and always professional. The restaurant's Breakfast buffet is all encompassing and fresh. Dinner is also a pleasant experience, especially with a window seat to people watch.

The staff were courteous, friendly, caring. Always with a smile. When we asked for suggestions, they were always good ideas. How to travel and always wanted to know about our experience. Brenda (front desk) Jaime (security) Fernando (bellboy) and all others would like to thank them for making this a special vacation

Lots of choices including local dishes. The food was very tasty and well presented. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The conference facilities were a bit squashed for the 25 persons attending, not sure if they had other meeting roo s

The rooms were nice and clean with strong wifi on second floor. Room service is 24hr and the food is good. The staff is helpful except the reception workers because when we first got there the staff tried their best to charge us more than the original online price. Aside from that everything was great.

Interesting option in Reforma, where most hotels are large, international chains. This hotel offers good accomodation in an old, refurbished building, with charm and confort. Although it is already asking for a renewal, especially in common areas, location is good and breakfast, a plus.

I was planning my 50th birthday with my partner in Mexico City and agonised over hotels. I'd only been to Mexico City once, for a couple of days and didn't consider myself exactly well informed about the city or it's different districts. As it was such an important landmark in my life, I was willing to spend more money than usual and so looked at some very upmarket options. Ultimately, I ended up with a Junior Suite at the Emporio Reforma. While not as 'upmarket' as some of the other places I lo... Read more

The location of the hotel is very convenient and safe. We stayed for 5 nights. We walked to Castillo de Chapultepec, Museo Nacional de Antropología, Alameda Central, Palacio de Bellas Artes and all the attractions around Zócalo. It worked out perfect for us since there were a lot of demonstrations or protests of the Mexicans in the zocalo area during our visit and traffic was very bad. People were friendly. I decided to stay here, since the classical look in the pictures looked appealing. The pictures did not lie, the hotel lobby was beautiful, the coffee house was great, the down side was the room, it was terribly small, the two nights I spent here I was not able to get a good night sleep, since I felt encloustered in this room. The staff and their service was great, but in the end one needs to sleep in a hotel, more if you spend at least one week per month in hotel rooms like me.

Hotel is very clean and affordable for those who are on a semi budget holiday. Staff are bilingual (Spanish and English) and are very helpful to foreigners new to Mexico City area. Restaurant is of high class with friendly staff and great food. Most importantly it is in a good area being central to most tourist city attractions (only a few minutes walk away from the markets, Zona Rosa and shopping malls.

We liked this hotel which is located on the main Avenue in this huge city. The room is spacious and clean, the staff was very nice and helpful and the food (mainly breakfast for us) was good and inexpensive. In short, location, room and service are excellent.

I stayed here September 7 through September 11. The accommodations here were good and the price is fair for its location. Great service and rooms are very clean. My favorite part was the Jacuzzi bathtub. We arrived in the evening on September 7. The concierge (name is Placido maybe?) told me I could pay for my reservation and also authorize my credit card for any 'incidentals' we might incur (room service, dining, etc.). Seemed pretty standard. Unfortunately, after he ran my card, he told... Read more

I stayed at the Emporio Reforma for five days with my mom. The room was pretty nice, though no view because the window faced a developing building. The beds were comfortable although slightly uneven and the wall frame it was set against made noise. The TV options were okay, but the other two hotels I stayed at offered more and in more languages. Most of the meals were delicious, but sometimes there were problems. For example, the French toast was just toasted bread with cinnamon on it (we sent i... Read more

Terrible hotel! For USD 250 per night you get a hotel that the lobby smells like a dirty bathroom, the floor like chicken and the room is old, lots f dusty...never been to a 250 dollar per night hotel like this. Worst in the world. Don't get fooled by the good recommendations, also food is terrible.

We stayed here four nights in October/Nov. to attend the Formula 1 races and Dia de los Muertos. Hotel is on a busy main street but our room was very quiet. Its situated halfway between Chapultepec Park and Zocalo, both were about a 1 1/2 mile walk in opposite directions. Our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast is heavily toward mexican style--chiliquiles, pozole, etc. Any "American" food was a bit mysteriously cooked. Our room was part of a Formula Tours package so ... Read more

Excellent location: lovely walk to the Zocalo, longer but superb walk to the Anthropology Museum, so many fine plazas and parks. Just beyond the edge of the Zona Rosa. Lots of places to eat, all prices. Safe. Fun. Hotel itself provides excellent service, including answers to questions, directions, more. The room: good bed, enough closet space. Small room but who cares? You'll be out and about or sleeping.
