Based on the reviews I thought "can't get any better" but, boy were we disappointed. 1) the room we received smelled of mildew. 2) the only window (2' x 5') view out our room was the back alley and a fence (3rd flr. mind you). 3) the sink had mold (how does that happen?) and 4) the door in the bathroom had white water stains on it. At this point we asked to be moved and fortunately they accommodated us. The desk kindly said they'd send someone up to help move our bags and who'd they send?...hmm... Read more

Not a bad hotel, clean, sufficient. The breakfast is overpriced - you can get much better a breakfast if you willing to walk just 3 minutes out of the hotel. Do not call a taxi from the hall, just rise your hand as soon as you got out of the hotel - it will be twice as chip. They asked for 250 peso for the ride to airport, got out and the same taxi is only 130... Be prepared, that in the lobby they do not know prices (or pretend not to know) and inform you that the ride to the centre of the tow... Read more

This was a lovely place to stay. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The service terrific. The people at the front spoke enough English to help us find what we wanted. It is far away from downtown, but we figured out a way to catch the city bus for 7 pesos. It's tricky. I think that most people call a cab. If you do that get your own cab or it will cost you double for the hotel to call one for you. Great ice-cream -- ask the desk where to find it. Be sure to go downtown on wee... Read more

Front desk reception attentive to providing immediate accommodations. Special attention provided to vegetarian food choices prepared upon request by Chef Alberto Quyano and assistant Lizabeth Gonzalez. 5 stars for exceptional customer service by all staff at Wyndham Merida.

The Wyndham is nice and clean; however, it is not in Centro and you can get a good quiet night rest. Noisy Centro is where most of the activities are at and it is a good distance away. You can catch a cab out on the street, but in Merida never ask the hotel to call you a cab unless you want to pay double, more fun to catch the bus for a local experience. Our breakfast was included and was very good with large portions served. The staff are very friendly and helpful. If you drive, beware, par... Read more

The Wyndham is located in a residential neighborhood meaning that you will need transportation for visiting the historical downtown Merida. Having said that the recently built hotel offers great accommodations and amenities. All employees provide attentive and helpful service. The included breakfast is served in the very nice and cozy restaurant. Even though the internet did not work during the night we summarize our stay as an excellent value and with no doubt we will return to the Wyndham duri... Read more

It is a small and very charming hotel. The rooms are very comfortable. The beds and mattresses are very clean, they sanitized them in a special way that they smell really clean. The hotel even writes that they do it. People at the reception and the bellboys are very kind. I ate at the hotel restaurant , and I experienced that they charged me a whole bottle of wine instead of a glass of wine. I noticed at the restaurant and it was fixed. The checkout was a bit slow and I could listen that a coupl... Read more

It will be hard to put into words how much I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel in Merida, Mexico! Everything was absolutely first class... the service staff were by far the friendliest and most helpful of any we encountered on our latest road trip across the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. Room service was fast and delicious. The pool was exceptionally clean and refreshing. The bar staff were attentive. The rooms (while a bit small and I wish we would have gotten a room with a bathtub) are **ab... Read more

Nice antique hotel. Good customer service. The pool it tiny. The rooms are tiny too but beautiful. Lots of plants wish makes the place look elegant. Lots of parking. The restaurant was great. Close to all the entertainment in Merida.

I read reviews about this location which suggested it wasn't up to typical Wyndham standards and wasn't quite sure what the reviewer was referencing, until I arrived. The details of the rooms reveal poor craftsmanship (paint on fixtures, obvious repairs, broken tiles, to name a few). Additionally, the linens (comforter) revealed stains, which created pause regarding the overall cleanliness of the room. But it was otherwise clean. The kitchen provided an exceptional lunch meal and margarita, so I... Read more

This is a great place to stay in Mérida. The staff is excellent and the rooms are nice. There is a small Spa on property and the food is good and reasonable. This property is more Americanized than most hotels in Mérida, but this is a very safe choice for travelers who do not speak Spanish or are not real adventurous travelers. This is also a great choice if you are traveling with young children. My favorite thing about this property overall is the staff, they are warm and genuine; a w... Read more

Fantastic Friendly Staff. We spent lots of time with Ronny at the Bar. Damaris gave me to great Massages! The bell boys were always welcoming and helpful. It was great that they were completely bi-lingual. We would stay here again.

The restaurant food here was very good and not expensive.. If you stay here you must check out the cafe nextdoor called "OMG Cafe".. we would walk over for our morning coffee and post dinner coffee and dessert.. the owner was very nice and the coffee and quiche was excellent!

I strongly recommend this hotel as a business stop and as couples that want an affordable and very comfortable place. Rooms are very nice, lots of room, the bathroom and shower are large. The pool and public places are very small and we did not use them but they seem very nice too. The concierge at the hotel help us with a couple of amazing tours to Uxmal.
