Driving directions from Mazatlan International Airport:

Exit the airport to the divided highway outside the entrance and follow signs to Mazatlan. In Mazatlan, follow signs toward the Zona Hotelera (Hotel Zone), then follow signs toward the Zona Dorada (Golden Zone). Before reaching the Golden Zone, turn right on Avenida de la Marina and follow signs to the marina. Proceed past the marina and along the street to the hotel 500 meters (547 yards) ahead on the right.

Getting There:

Shuttle vans and private cars of varying prices are available. Taxis ($26-$35) are available at the airport.

Getting Around:

Public buses operating through MAzatlan's hotel zone to the down town historical district stop at the hotel's entrance. Mazatlan's signature open-air taxis (pulmonias) and regular taxis are available at the hotel.

"My sweetheart and I have traveled Mexico extensively, and I must say, most thanks.
We recently traveled to Mazatlan and stayed at the Puebla Bonito Mazatlan.
Great hotel and beach. We had an all inclusive deal with a Jr. Suite (I think it was called.) In the hotel listings they show rooms only, go to SHOW MORE and you will see all inclusive deals. If you like to eat and drink this could but what you want. All snacks and meals, drinks - alcoholic and non are included. GREAT!
Really wonderful staff of people, really can't say enough about all of them.
All of the waiters were EXTREMELY ATTENTIVE! Very nice and fun.
It was neat that we could go to their sister hotel Emerald Bay and swim and eat.
The Emerald Bay is a time share so be prepared for salespeople. We did not go for the sales pitch and breakfast. BE STRONG!!!!!
The grounds there are absolutely breathtaking - European design. Swans and flamingos. And the 'BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE'.
The architecture is TO DIE FOR!!!! We went there for dinner a few times and it was excellent. All inclusive food and drinks were included there as well.
They had infinity pools and several others that were kind of intertwined. Loads of chairs and tables. The wait staff there was very very good and attentive!
All and all we had a lovely relaxing time, hated to come home as usual
. Meeting people, seeing sites, eating the countries food - DON'T BE AFRAID! For Gods sake, that's why your there! Don't order a cheese burger! Yeah, go ahead and drink bottled water we do.
Two months ago we went to Mexico City then bused to Puebla - World Heritage Site then bused to Veracruz GREAT! Flew back to Mexico City. Arrangement were easy to make. Mexican buses are very comfy and have lots of room.
Please don't be afraid to travel.

We have never had any trouble in any way shape or form traveling.
We love to travel and meet new people! Everyone should.
You ever think of how many people have not been out of the US? Let alone their state?"

"Wonderful Stay. The resort is beautiful, although as everyone else has said' the rooms need a little updating'
I went all-inclusive because I am limited on my mobility, and sure glad I did, the food and beverage prices are extremely high, but the food is great. There are good restaurants across or just down the street."

"The Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan Resort was very nice. I loved our luxury suite with the balcony & view of the ocean.
I was very disappointed in my check-in as the agent did not address us with 'Good Afternoon' or Welcome to our hotel' or any such salutation.I approached the desk saying 'Good afternoon. I'd like to check in' at which time he turned to another guest who tcame to the desk with a request. He then turned to me & merely asked if I had any documentation. At no time was there any warmth in our exchange - he was very indifferent. He then told us to go to another desk to get our room number. At that desk we were offered a chance to fgo to Emerald Bay for a beautiful brunch & tour of the facility. NO MENTION OF A SALES PITCH. We were told to hand over $20 which would be retruned at that same desk next morning when we arrived to take the bus to Emerald Bay for takking the time to tour this new facility, we would be rewarded with $150 gift certificate & free internet access. We id not get our $20 returned till after the tour & meeting 3 sales people to get us to join their condo plan. We also never had the chance to enjoy the breakfast because they took us there 20 minutes before it was shutting down.
We tried 2 times to arrange a city tour but both times were told it was cancelled dueto lack of participation. Same wih the bartending session that was @ the hotel we gave up trying to join in on activities & went our own way.

I would return to this resort IF it wasn't in Mazatlan. This is my second time to Mexico & I am not impressed.

I must say that the dining room staff were outstanding & we enjoyed many chats with them as well as the cabana staff.

The check out process was ridiculously slow.

Again, I must say that the hotel was ever so nice."

"Dont be afraid of Mazatlan! If you don't go looking for trouble, you probably won't find any. Mazatlan is a beautiful destination and the Pueblo Bonito resorts are some of the best we've stayed anywhere in Mexico . Traveling the week before Christmas is our families best kept secret; less touristy, gorgeous weather, plenty to do, great golf, wonderful staff, Christmas spirit abounds. The beaches are beautiful, the ocean very easy to swim in and we were fortunate enough to participate in the release of the sea turtles. I will return to mazatlan before some of the other larger resorts in Mexico because it is much more personable and friendly."
