The hotel is only 5 stories high. It is a bit older but it has lots of charm. The beach is the best beach. Long, flat and shallow. Great for walking. Great for beginner surfers. Only two dinner restaurants but the food was always good. Within walking distance of other places to eat, or take a bus or taxi downtown and there are lots of amazing restaurants down in Centro. Some staff are fantastic, others not so friendly. Only issue we had was trying to get a place to sit on the beach. People would... Read more

I have been an owner at Pueblo Bonito since the 90's. I am always impressed by the cleanliness of the rooms and the friendliness of the staff. Normally we go to Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos, so Mazatlan was a change for us. It was fun to see the locals enjoying the beach with their families (Cabo is mainly tourists). We found the restaurants to be equally as good as Cabo but much less expensive. The only downside to Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan was that there was a $14 per day WiFi charge. It was int... Read more

This was my second trip to this resort. It's not the newest but is the best; has a great beach and two nice pools. The experience you will have at this resort is not something you can find elsewhere, this is because of the Activity Staff. The Activity Staff is the best at making your time truly special. Jazmin remembered me from the year before and welcomed me, right when I got to the pool. Jazmin truly makes you feel like family and made our time fun and relaxing. It is amazing that one person... The hotel was very nice and clean, but needs to be updated. The beach area was very nice the waves weren't as high like the other side and there's also jelly fish after 4pm.. The food was ok not to many options for all inclusive. My only complaint on this resort was the harassment by the staff each time we ate or got drinks, they would make us sign a receipt, it was very annoying. I wouldn't recommend to get all inclusive for this resort. But the ground and the location are great..

We love this place. Great weather. Perfect room. Very nice staff. The food is wonderful. Prices are low. Every room has a great view. Stay at the Bonito in Mazatlan to be in the action near the city. Walk to Panchos or Marinera Restraunts for awesome seafood. Catch a Pulomia downtown or to his friends boat with Jimmy +52 (669) 167 0921 and see the sites. Authentic Mexico. Sal did us a solid on this wonderful room for a great price.

We love this place. My mother is one of the original owners here but because we were staying during a different week we were put into a different room on the other end of the hotel. The first night was great although I felt that the finishes of the hotel haven't been kept up as well as previously. The second day came with a huge roach in the shower. We asked for a different room and were quickly accommodated. The rest of the stay was uneventful and blissful. I love this hotel. I hope they don't... Read more

This hotel is beautiful in a quaint Mexican Villa way. The rooms are old and some things don't work but you can't beat the views and the hospitality is great. There are vendors on the beach but just say "no thank you". One vendor blew his conch shell every morning around 8am. I might have bought a shell if he didn't do that. It was annoying. The food onsite was okay. I do not recommend the "all inclusive" plan. This ties you down to those places. The pool was great, the ocean was great. I have n... Read more

We have owned this timeshare for years and years and look forward to coming back every year. Much of the staff at this point recognizes us from years past even though we only visit for a week each year. All of the staff here is extremely friendly and helpful. Jesus, Cindy, and Jazmin of the activities staff have been wonderful this year. There are activities all day and my family enjoys participating and winning free drinks! Our favorite is water volleyball everyday. The vendors on the beach are... Read more

When we arrived, we requested to have a nicer view room and they gave us a nice ocean-view with terrace 1 bedroom. The view of sunset was amazing, and it is very easy access to the beach and the pool. The room was clean nicely everyday, interior was old, wish they could update a little bit otherwise staffs are friendly. The only complain we had is the internet was so slow, even if you pay, very unacceptable.

The rooms are adequate, the location is nice but the people that work in this resort make the place excellent. We were there with another couple on vacation. This is a time share place and there is a push to get you into a time share pitch for the newer Emerald Bay location. We were offered $300.00 voucher to put against our bill as well as a few other freebies. Having never been through one we thought we would give it a try. It was not a horrible experience. This is our first time at this hotel and we really enjoyed the architectural design, location, amenities and the people who work there. We had the all inclusive so we were able to try different restaurants. Angelo's, Italian specialty restaurant on the facility requires reservations but it is well worth it. Not the newest-luxury hotel in town but definitely a warm charming Mexican feel to it. Rooms are spacious, sea view, two great pools, a jacuzzi and an excellent service. Since we bought the all-inclusive package we tried every dish on the menu and I must say everything from the snack bar to the other 3 restaurants was delicious.

This property most likely was very nice 40 years ago when it was built! They have not updated anything at all. The elevators all smell like raw sewage, the rooms are tiny, and this is time share hell!. The management maintains such a high level of occupancy through their aggressive marketing that is always over capacity. If you want a palapa on the beach you have to go down to the beach at 0500 and claim your palapa with towels (you get the day before) or you will NEVER have a palapa. EVERYT... Read more

With all of the positive trip advisor remarks, over 1200, I was expecting a really nice room. Our room was quite disappointing. The furnishings were old and outdated. The smell was musty. Ants were crawling around in the kitchenette and bedroom. The housekeeping was just ok. I didn't put my clothes in the drawers because they didn't look clean. I moved the pillows in the bed which was actually ok and comfortable to find dead bugs squished against the ceramic head board. Gross! The location howe... Read more

We stayed at Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay located about 45 minutes north of the airport or about 30 minutes north of Mazatlan. The best way to get there is booking the resort??s shuttle service for $29 round trip from the Airport. Taxi or any other form of transportation will likely be expensive. However, the shuttle service is convenient, on time, safe, and provides peace of mind. At the resort upon arrival, we were greeted with cocktail, beers, and friendly staffs. The separate bedroom was also large and we had 2 bathrooms and 2 closets plus an adequately supplied kitchenette. We knew the property was 30 years old but this contributed to the old world charm.
