The Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay has nice grounds. It is isolated so there are no vendors on the beach. There are a lot of rocks on the beach. The beach is good for walking but not for swimming. There were only very few beach lounge chairs on the beach, and people reserved them with towels early morning. It was very annoying to be at a beach property and have to sit by the pool instead of the beach. The breakfast buffet was very good, and the dinner buffet was not great. Their gym and spa facility ... Read more

We have stayed at the Pueblo Bonito Several times over the past few years. It is an older hotel with beautiful property and nice pools. The problem is that every Saturday night while we were here the resort next door has some party with loud annoying music until the early morning hours. It just isn't worth the hassle

When it takes you over 45 minutes to check-in and you have to provide emails to confirm your reservation, that's a serious problem. Then, exhausted from that ordeal, you're ambushed by an overly enthusiastic time share person that doesn't care what you and 7 other family members just had to deal with, it starts your vacation off on a sour note. All we wanted to do was get in to our villa and start our vacation! Food was just decent and there was a 50/50 chance on getting a server or staff mem... Read more

We have been coming here for years, but our recent visit in October, was most unusual. I was injured in a fall at the hotel, and required surgery for a fractured femur in a local hospital. My wife and I were helped by resort staff who provided transportation for me and for her since I was in the hospital for 4 days. What was remarkable, was that several waiters and food staff visited me in the hospital on their own time, even when English was difficult for them. I will never forget that. Fur... Read more

Please do not arrive any earlier than 4 pm! No one will let you in the room before that time. We arrived at 12:30 and were simply told that the room will not be available before 4 pm. We had asked whether there are chances to enter the room any earlier than that and were told to come back at 3 pm and inquire. We did so but the reply was consistently the same: the room is not ready. We went to the reception 5 times in 3 hours, and every time ended up speaking to a different person: nothing helped... My family and I chose to stay here as part of a time-share. We visited over Thanksgiving when the weather is sunny in the 70-80 degree F range and the humidity is not too high. The rocky beach, elaborate landscaping and charming architecture make this place feel like a storybook. The staff was exceptionally friendly, and everyone seemed to take pride in their work. A tip of 20 pesos ($1 US) is not necessary but greatly appreciated, and so very affordable. We arrived via taxi at midnight and che... Read more

The resort itself it overall pretty nice. The service was great and everyone was very friendly. The things I would suggest is some updating in the rooms, however they were very clean. I would also suggest a restroom closer to the ocean and some beach clean up as there was a ton of bottles and garbage on the beach.

My wife and I just recently visited Emerald Bay, while the service was excellent and the grounds were beautiful, the night life is below average. If you're looking for a place to "hang out" or listen to modern music this place isn't for you. Kelly's Bar needs to update the two tv's they have the quality of the tv's is not good. We had to go off the resort to watch the Seahawks game. We also had small ants in our room by the kitchen. For being an optional all-inclusive there needs to be wi-... Read more

The restaurants has greatly improved with the addition of a new chef. The cinnamon rolls are a great addition. The Delli also does a great job!! The activity team also do a great job!! The beach area needs a repair of the wall and access to the beach. Improved safety plans are need for injured folks Enjoyed the stay. Larry O

My wife and I have been coming to Mazatlan for over 15 years, EB since '05. This is the vacation that I look forward to more than any other destination and I travel pretty extensively. Pueblo Bonito EB certainly has it's pros and cons and these are always something I give thought to each year. The "Bueno" Good - The property itself is spectacular in terms of landscaping and architecture. The building were constructed to look aged from the very start. The neo-classical buildings with height limi... Read more
