We did not stay at this resort but they are the only ones who have postage stamps available to mail out postcards without having to go downtown to the post office. There is a lady at the front desk who can sell them to you and she was available from 7am to 3pm.

This is not the fanciest place in the Golden Zone of Mazatlán, but was one of our best vacation experiences ever. The Costa de Oro Beach Hotel is an older, more traditional place with the most wonderful people working there. Our 1 bedroom suite was very roomy and we had a million dollar view of the Pacific ocean from our balcony. The suite had a large living room and kitchen area with comfortable seating, separate bedroom and large bathroom with roomy tiled shower (lots of hot water). Big close... Read more

We just returned from three weeks at the Costa de Oro and it was wonderful. We hadn't visited for more than 15 years, and now we wonder why! It was a great trip. Check-in was quick and easy. Instead, we were offered a full suite in the beach-front tower, which we quickly accepted. The suite wasn't pe... Read more

9 of us went there for dinner. The ocean front setting of this restaurant is beautiful! A variety of dishes were ordered, of which the quality was average. The service was not very good. Meals were not brought out at the same time, and 2 people didn't get meals at all until it was brought to the waiter's attention. They hadn't even noticed! Prices were in line with the area.

The Costa de Oro is a wonderful place to stay in Mazatlan. As previous reviews stated it is older, and this is evident. However, it is kept very clean. All of the staff at the Costa are helpful and friendly, which contributes to the high rating. The staff at the pool are outstanding, especially 'Lucy', goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is happy. The rooms are kept clean by the wonderful maid service, who also always have a smile. The location of this hotel is perfect, able to walk to m... Read more
