We stayed in a one-bedroom unit and there is so much room. The walk-in shower is huge, and there are two separate vanity areas in the bathroom. But what makes this resort so special is the amazing staff! Everyone is so friendly and do everything possible to make your stay special. Only one negative and that would be the charge for Wi-fi - last year it was about $23 U.S. and this year it was $55 U.S., which is ridiculously high! In my opinion, resorts really should provide free wi-fi.

My wife and I came here for our honeymoon and let me just say, we had a great time just relaxing. The staff at the hotel is great! We are not party type people so this definitely was the hotel for us, it is away fromy most of the hustle and bustle of the shopping centers but they have free shuttle services to the other hotels that are apart of El Cid, so once you get to those you can just walk from there. If we come back, we will be staying here.

My wife and I just came back to Mazatlan for our 20-year anniversary. We stayed and visited El Cid Marina hotel. We spent a day fishing on the Ares 10 with Manuel and Julio. We had an amazing time. Geronimo the Harbor Master was excellent to work with. We also spent time at the pool with Adrian and we had great service and good food. We are now planning a second trip back to the marina El Cid with our three children. The pool, food, staff, and surroundings are just beautiful. We highly recommend... Read more

El Cid is great. We were at the Marina - which is very nice/quiet but with fewer activities. They have a free shuttle between locations which we used. The service was amazing. What surprised me is how many extras there were with all inclusive - going above & beyond.

This is a great place to take a vacation to rest and get your mind away from the every day running around we do.... The boat that takes you to their private beach area was very convenient. When we arrived no one told us regarding the suggested rates for the taxi fares which allowed taxis to take advantage of us the first couple of days

Once again our visit to the El Cid Marina Beach Hotel was fantastic. We spent our vacation there last year and had such a great experience we had to go back. The resort is SO clean and the staff is very friendly. It is a quiet, small resort which is what we love. My son broke his ear drum the first dive into the pool. The doctor at the resort was super. I cannot say enough about the staff. Juan Carlos at the Iguana Pool went above and beyond to make sure our time at the pool was relaxing a... Read more

very clean, great pools for kids and adults alike. I didn't prefer the marina view to other vacations we've had by the beach but you might. Service was solid, when we had one bad dining experience they re-did a comped dinner the next night and attended to our every need.

I had a great stay at the Marina El Cid in Mazatlan with my son and grandchildren. As usual, the facilities were very well maintained. The grounds were full of flowering plants and were well manicured, reminiscent of Disneyland. Leticia Perez Vazquez personally and efficiently handled my reservation. Lupita refreshed our room every day to first day standards. She always asked whether she could do more to accommodate our personal timetable or meet the special needs of my seven and 10-year-old. The hotel was beautiful, the hotel grounds were well manicured, and the staff was friendly. I enjoyed the restaurants, both inside and outside by the pool. The restroom staff kept the facilities very clean and accommodating. The pools were nice and is was easy to get transportation around the resort. If I vacation again in Mazatlan, I will definitely stay in El Cid.

Friendly staff and beautiful location. My daughter loved the swimming pool. But you get nickeled and dime for everything. WiFi cost $50 for the week. Trading our Marriott timeshare week was a step down.

I was here for 3 weeks. i had an awesome vacation. Room service and the food were great. The pool activities especially volleyball was always a good time. Cesar, Jesus, and the new girl Andy(Andrea) were my favorite and they made everyday fun. This was my first time in Mazatlan and I definitely look forward to returning.

We just stayed at the Marina with our whole family from 2years old to 72, we all enjoyed ourselves. Hotel is guest friendly, rooms and facilities are spotless, all the staff, from bellmen, front desk, maids, food servers, all very polite and very helpful. Food was very good. Great shuttle service between the hotels. Only negative, this being a timeshare properties, these people are always too pushy and aggressive, remember a free ride from the airport isn't completely free.

I have nothing but great to say about the whole resort! The activity group are awesome. They are friendly and fun to do activities with. Ceasar and his wonderful group of people that work with him keep you entertained with all kinds of fun stuff to do. The over all staff are great from Hector at the front desk to Trini the bell hop. I have nothing bad to say so go and enjoy yourself.

I love this place! It has a great atmosphere, lovely view of the Marina, not crowded and very relaxing! Our room was very spacious and comfortable. I had previously stayed here and returned a couple of years later to spend a vacation for a week. I definitely recommend this location.

I bought into El Cid about 20 years ago and have loved visiting there over the years. My wife of 8 years, and her two kids, love it too. We prefer the Marina because it's a little calmer, and the view of the Marina at sunset is incredible over the boats. The restaurants are very good, the grills at the two pools serve good food and beverages. Even when on all-inclusive we tip the servers/waiters a US buck every now and then...so we're used to always getting really good service. This trip Adrian ... Read more

We arrived in Mazatlan on May 29th, 2016 where we would spend a week at El Cid Marina Beach Hotel. We had an absolutely fantastic trip!! The hotel is beautiful, the rooms lovely, the hotel personnel INCREDIBLE!! This was, without question, one of our best family vacations ever! The food was so delicious, the service was superb, and we left that place with wonderful memories. One of the individuals traveling with us dove into the pool, in the deep end, and hit his head on the bottom. He gas... Read more

My wife and I just spent 4 days and 3 nights at the El Cid Marina Beach Resort in Mazatlan from July 9 - 12th. When I booked the trip, I mentioned to them that it was our 33rd wedding anniversary. We had booked a Studio, but when we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised that we had been upgraded to a one bedroom unit. Also, the staff had went the extra measure to provide an anniversary cake in the room. In addition, they attached balloons to the wall celebrating our 33rd anniversary, and also pr... Read more

I have been in many different hotels in diferent places in US and Mexico but by far this is the one with the best customer service so far, and not just that the food and the mixed drinks are great, they really embrace customer service, they make me and my family feel valued and they legitimately offer you their best attitude. All the staff are awesome, but my favorite people here is Fidel, Adrian and Josie they do work at the pools, ask Fidel to make his favorite plate you won't regret it. Thi... Read more

We loved our vacation at El Cid Marina Beach Hotel. Everybody was very nice, processional and helpful. Room had an amazing view of the marina and was clean and beds very conformable. Restaurants served a variety of great food in a wonderful environment, and the service was amazing. We took our 2 daughters, and even though there is a beautiful beach, they spent most of the time in the big pool that has a huge cave, they loved both, to get inside the cave and just relaxed in the water without the... Our trip was amazing. The room, food and service of the staff was all 5 stars. The only negative experience was that my daughter did get stung by a jelly fish on the first day there. Fortunately the doctor did come in on Sunday and gave her 2 shots and cream for the toxins. It was pretty bad. We were so grateful to him coming in on his day off! Overall I highly recommend the resort!

Met several guests from other hotels that said they liked the Marina much better so they came EVERY DAY! Food was great! Staff at the pools were great. Overall we enjoyed out trip. Best pictures on site at the resort A+++ for family pictures! The rooms are updated, but I'm used to Gold crown, which this was supposed to be, but far from that. Most of the restaurants were down the street at the other ElCid Hotels. But we found those to be chaos. It is a lot less expensive than the other Mexico towns we usually visit which is a +++ But we love to dive, it is not a diving town. It's more of a deep sea fishing place.

We recently went on vacation to the Marina (which is the newest of the 4 Cid Resorts) and it was AMAZING!! The staff was so incredibly nice and courteous my husband and I were blown away. We have vacationed in other places such as Cancun and Playa Del Carmen and neither held a candle to this place. The food was awesome as well. I read some reviews before we went and was a little apprehensive, but those people are obviously the ones that will never be pleased. The lobby is where the main ... Read more

The resort of nice over all; however, it was more of a family style resort. The rooms have kitchenettes, but are clean. We had a problem with sugar ants. They were every where in the room even after the hotel sprayed. Tips are NOT included in the all-inclusive options, despite what the emails from RCI or other booking agency might say. This is a nice property. The staff is wonderful and food superb! The beach club is somewhat segregated as you need to take a short boat ride across the marina to access the beach. We enjoyed both the stretching class and aqua aerobics. We did go to the other El Cid properties for golf and massage and also for the dinner show and to the Italian restaurant which was very good including the wine. Overall it was a nice experience even though September is still pretty hot.

El Cid Marina exceeded our expectation. The room was awesome, the staff was outstanding, the food was good. My wife and I really enjoyed ourselves. They had live music for dinner and keroakee. The resort was clean, modern and very charming. The staff were polite and always ready to serve with a smile. El Cid has three other properties that are accessible by shuttle on a regular basis so there are additional opportunities for eating and shopping without much effort. We enjoyed our stay a great deal. The only negative was the airline difficulty - getting there from the south east of the US was difficult.

We only had a couple of things that were negative on our stay. The map that is given out makes it appear that this El Cid resort is within close walking distance of the other El Cid resorts, but it is miles away by a van ride. So, if you want to make a reservation for dinner in one of the other resorts, plan for that extra time in going and coming back. Also, if you decide to take an excursion away from the resort, a couple of the Pronatours had some issues. While the Sunset "Sail" was fun,... Read more
