"I had a great time staying here. I was there for a wedding and just sun and relaxation. There is always food and drink available at all times of the day, and the pool areas was fabulous. I still can't believe I got to be in Mexico for 4 days and spent less than $100 USD.
The cabs are expensive, but my friends rented a car for a whole week and it was only $100, so well worth it when we needed to go to town. Was wonderful to be at a resort outside of the busy towns.
Each morning was worth getting up early on vacation.
My friend's wedding was amazing and beautiful, and the reception was perfect. All the food was wonderful."

"Last year we stayed at a different all inclusive resort it was cheaper and better.Walking down a flight of steep steps in the hot sun to the ocean was not written anywhere or I would not have picked this hotel."

"This trip could not have been better unless it was longer! The staff and facilities at Melia were absolutely great - they upgraded us to the best room in the hotel, and the food was very good, the bars, pools, beaches were wonderful as well. We found it easy to coordinate our transportation to and from the airport and also organized a whale watching expedition with the EPIC tours representative. We can't wait to go back!"

"We planned this trip for my husbands 40th birthday. We had 6 adults that went and we all loved this resort so much. I read all the reviews and felt that this place sounded good but when we arrived it far exceeded all of our expectations. We were greeted in the beautiful lobby with drinks and things got better from there. The place is very clean and you can see people cleaning at all hours of the day and night. The rooms were large clean and had amazing views. Food was great, lots of choices we really love the asian restaurant. (make reservations in the a.m.) The staff was so nice and helpful and served us any kind of liquor we wanted even top shelf(all included) The beds are firm as other people stated but not bad. The only 2 things that we didnt love were the latino show(lots of talented people dancing but located in a tiny room off the lobby) And the beach is federal land so you cannot go and sit in the resort chairs unless you don't mind being harrassed by locals to buy everything including drugs! Overall it was the best vacation ever and we will return for sure, also will bring our kids. Very family friendly!"
"The price is good, but I don't drink or eat much so a lot was lost on me. The things I needed instead, like y-fi, were very pricey. there was some nickel and diming about various things.
The cabs were outrageously. I figured out how to ride the local bus, and did a lot of walking. There is some agreement that all the cabs will seriously over charge. It was awful."

"Only spent 2 nights there and that was long enough! Only one place to eat and was tired of buffet the food was fair. The other resturant wouldn't be open to till the next day and that was when we were leaving. The room was ok but the next day no hot water. The housekeeper didn't come by until later that day we just had her give us new towels. Did a lot of walking as sometimes the elevator didn't work. We will never stay there again!"

"The Hotel itself was very Nice. The pool and area around the pool was very good even when it got really busy the staff brought out more than enough chairs and umbrellas to lounge by the pool. The only complaint I have is the food in the buffet was not very good at all. They never had much of a selection for kids like chicken fingers and fries. Also never had very many pasta dishes at all for kids or Adults. Other than the buffet my experience was good and the city of Cabo San Lucas was awesome..."

"The resort was beautiful and very well maintained. The Japanese restaurant Kujira was excellent. You have to reserve your spot for the special restaurants at the concierge but it's very easy. Staff is very friendly and willing to help. U.S. money is good any where so don't worry about exchanging for pesos unless you want. Out in town you can negotiate everything for souvenirs. It's $25 for a cab ride fro the resort to Cabo San Lucas which is where everything is at to do. As far as the resort goes The wait staff don't ask for tips but very much appreciate them. When they say all inclusive they mean it you can eat and drink as much as you want. Pool is wonderful beach is beautiful but the waves are strong, don't try and swim unless you can handle it. The beds are hard to sleep but if you play hard and party harder you wont mind. We would definitely come back again."

"The Good - Grounds: Well kept and clean, pool area very nice Room: Balcony, large patio door, well insulated from neighbors Food: Breakfast always good, Asian restaurant exceptional Drinks: Top shelf liquor Entertainment: Laser harp show, karaoke Staff: Bartenders friendly The Bad - Grounds: Beach uncomfortable to walk on (sharp sand), not as 'swimmable' as advertised (very dangerous due to riptide) Room: Housekeeping would not tend to room until after 4pm, very hard beds, TV speakers 'blown', toilet had to be fixed twice, shower scalding hot at times Food: Lunch and dinner subpar (food bland or just plain unappetizing), $10 service fee applied to each room service request (no room service menu) Drinks: n/a Entertainment: Laser harp show repeated nightly (no other shows), only DJ music after most nights (except Saturday night which was the only night of karaoke), only one theme night (not multiples as advertised) Staff: Other than bartenders, most appeared annoyed when asked for help JUST SAY NO!!! if offered to tour another resort in exchange to discounted excursions. This is not just a tour as you are led to believe, but rather a HARD SELL into a 'anti timeshare' which is equivalent to a monthly car payment!!! Simply ruined a day of our vacation - save yourself the time and headache of this 'tour'!"
"WRONG BED
WRONG ROOM
HORRIBLE VIEW
HORRIBLE FOOD
SAND IS VERY ROUGH
LONG WALK TO GET TO BEACH
TO MANY WAVES TO EVEN SWIM IN
CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE
"Positives - the rooms were clean, friendly staff.
Negatives- food was horrible, the sushi restaurant was worse then grocery store sushi, the buffet was terrible, I actually saw flies on the food. The lobby is filled with sales people pushing time shares. The pool was in serious disrepair (missing tiles, cracked plaster and coping). The music at the pool is elevator music, and no entertainment pool side. It's a 25 dollar cab ride to Cabo.
Summary - don't be fooled by thinking all inclusive is worth it. The booze are cheap and the food is terrible. I visit Cabo often and I won't ever stay at Melia again."
"To start, I had booked and paid for an ocean view on a higher level. I got ground floor without a view. They told me I would have to pay an upgrade fee ... even though the hotel was only about 30% occupied.
There wasn't any cell or text service unless you paid the $15 (that was only valid for one hour from the time you started - no stop & go)
The buffet was terrible - Everyday, there were birds pecking away at it. The food was lousy (but I'm sure the birds enjoyed it!).
The beds were about the most uncomfortable I've ever slept on ... kinda like well manicured gravel!
During a tropical storm, complete with thunder and lightning, there were at least 20 people in the pool. Isn't that dangerous? Shouldn't the pool have been closed?
I had a 'BONUS' free manicure with my booking which they wouldn't honor even after speaking to the front desk"
"Our trip to Cabo was awesome! The food, staff and property were ecellent. The beds were really hard and it was tough to sleep, but they do offer a soft egg egg carton to sleep on. The only negative this was the Epic transportation. When we arrived in Cabo, it took over 30 minutes just to get into the shuttle, On the return, the van was so crowded, I sat in the front seat crunched next to an older man. The transportation side really needs improvement."
"A few too many rules and can'ts. Mess up for cab trip back to airport which paniced a few of our relatives. Reservations for dinner in better restaurants were required at main desk between 9 and 4 which led customers to miss some of the restaurants and put pressure on people to reserve. Spa people could have spoken better English. Overall a good trip."
