I've stayed here multiple times over the years, and it keeps improving. Rooms are massive, and many have gorgeous views of the Sea of Cortez. Service is generally both gracious and friendly, though sometimes they get a little overwhelmed. Food at the restaurant is solid if not particularly inspired. The pool is great, and there is a 'semi-official' little Starbucks-esque cafe in the lobby/reception for your latte hit. Occasionally the music from the bar near the pool gets a little loud. They're... Read more

I have stayed at La Mision a couple of times. It amazed me coming back the second time that the front desk people remembered who I was. They were so welcoming, and while we were there for our fishing trip the bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed. The outside pool and bar is a great place to unwind. Rooms are spacious, well decorated, extremely clean and maintained. The real difference with this hotel is just how well the staff take care of their guests. There is no w... Read more

We had a wonderful stay at La Mision in the lovely small town of Loreto. From the front desk, Guillermo, to the restaurant staff- Cristian, Jaime, Nacho and Valeria and housekeeper Marion all were kind, accommodating and helpful. The hotel was immaculate and the location perfect. The food was excellent. My only complaint was that the pool was not heated. We will definitely return again. Thanks to all. Elisa

my wife and i just returned from 6 nights at this great hotel. Couldn't have asked for more, except better weather (we took a side trip to La Paz to beat the rain). The owner, from near Seattle, spent a lot of time and money to make this a great property. Materials and finishes are superb, and he's not done yet. I would suggest some sort of wall hangings to help with the echos off the marble floors. I do have one minor gripe. They offer a shuttle from the airport, but it costs way more than a ... Read more

Absolutely beautiful hotel resort on the malecon in Loreto, centrally located in walking distance to the town square, many restaurants, shopping, etc... This is a beautiful property with a view over the Sea of Cortez, with excellent service and friendly guest relations, and it is extremely comfortable. We only stayed for one night on our journey south to Todos Santos, but this was the absolute highlight of our nights in the Baja (and of our nights in the US!), and we will be back again. Bonus:... The rooms are pristine and spacious. The decor is Spanish and carefully selected. The pool is beautiful and the view of Loreto Bay is very good. The staff is friendly and goes out of the way to be helpful. Nora at the spa has magic fingers. Try a massage, and don't forget to tip like you would in the States! The drinks are very good and the food is also quite good. We stayed in Loreto for a while and sometimes just wanted to eat something that was a little more like home. The restaurant did not... I had an outstanding experience at the Hotel M√≠sion in Loreto. The staff were outstanding not only in their service but in that they didn‚??t hover over me all of the time. The location is ideal, on the malecon in the center of Loreto‚??s beachfront. The facility has been well maintained over the years. The facility is kept very clean. The restaurant provides both good food and good service, from the busy and competent chefs to the great servers (a shout out to Aripez, Jimy, Nacho, and Valer√¨a... Read more

We went to Loreto on Alaska Airlines (as most everyone else must do since they seem to have the exclusive) from Los Angeles. Renting a car in the airport was easy and the ride to La Mision was no problem at all. Parking is on the street. Most of the rooms (not all) face the ocean and have a view across the street to the beach and ocean beyond it. We were on the 4th floor and thankfully there was an elevator. Loreto is not a party place and we spent one evening at the restaurant in La Mision... Read more

Very noisy at night; street between hotel and waterfront is the place people in Loreto cruise with radios on full blast--at least on Friday and Saturday nights. Occasionally smells of raw sewage from someplace nearby. If you are ok with having your sliding door closed (no fresh air) all night, this is probably not a problem for you; although the air conditioning seemed to turn off at night and the room grew gradually warmer until it went on again in the morning. During the day, other than the... Read more

Love this place, such a gem! The staff was very friendly, helpful and professional. Our room was very spacious clean and comfortable. The hotel also cares for the pool, spa and grounds with meticulous detail, cleaning, maintaining and providing a beautiful oasis for guests. Loreto is an amazing place, friendly, clean and safe. I would like to thank all the staff for such great service; and a special thank you to Alan, Christian and Ignacio. We will be back. Gracias
