The food was plentiful and the Margaritas refreshing . The handmade omelet in the morning were worth the wait. Be sure to sit in Feliciana's area she will make sure you lack for nothing. We were also highly entertained by waiter who made portraits in our Cappuccino. Find the Adults Only Bar and let Carlos make you a Margarita or Banana Mama, or Cuba Libra. We will definitely go back and this time stay longer.

We just returned home from a visit to the Grand Palladium Colonial and had a great time. The staff at this resort were all so friendly and helpful. If you even looked a bit confused, they would stop to ask if they could help you get to where you were going. We had an issue with our safe in the room and they came within 15 minutes to fix it. Also had to ask for more wash clothes as they only give you two and both times were followed up with a phone call to make sure we received them which was... Read more

After our ninth booking we were really ready to look elsewhere for another destination, Every year up until this we have decided within 30 minutes that we wanted to return the next year. This year was different. It took 3 days. We don't think there is anywhere else that could give us the complete package we experience at the Palladium. What we found this year was that the wild jungle landscape has been manicured and although we loved it as it was, the cutting back and vast replanting looks exce... Read more

Our room was ready when we got there. We booked a Mayan suite. I emailed a few days before and requested a second floor room. We got a room on the first floor as the resort was full‚?¶Oh well, it was still great! The room itself was very spacious. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The outdoor shower was... Read more

We need to go to reception on 2 occassions (1 as the shower gel hadnt been replenished and the other because the mini bar hadnt been filled) each time they said they would sort it neither time did they! Wasnt a big issue however if we had a serious issue I cant help but think they would be been equally as unhelpful. A lovely resort with direct access to a large sandy beach and beautiful surroundings. The resort itself is extremely well taken care of (we constantly saw people cleaning), offers lots of different activities (there is no chance you will ever get bored), it's staff is the friendliest and most helpful we've ever seen in Riviera Maya, and the pools are huge and clean. The resort is absolutely beautiful and one could never run out of things to do there. It was a perfect getaway for our family which includes 2 parents and 2 young adult children. I enjoyed the natural setting and seeing animals throughout the resort. It is about an hour south of the Cancun airport (with a direct transfer). Although there were a lot of people at the resort, it never felt overcrowded, because everything is spread out across the property. It is a great value for the money. We found... Read more

My wife and i have just returned from a 10 day holiday , staying in the colonial section . The room was a handy location for all the restaurants , pools and beach . Nothing was further than a 10 minute walk. Starting with the restaurants . The buffet ones are excellent , with a wide range of choices to suit everyone . Each tends to serve the same selection each night , but each restaurant is different. The a la carte ones are good but you do tend to have a wait for a table when you can see plent... Read more

My husband booked this hotel after careful consideration. There were only a few bad reviews on this property and I thought, it couldn't be that bad! Well, I should have taken heed to the warnings. When we arrived, at 11am, we were told that we would have to wait to until 4pm to check in! After a long morning of travel, that was the first annoyance. So, to kill some time, we went to one of the many restaurants to eat lunch. It was horrible. The food tasted like cafeteria food...seriously. They ... Read more

Grounds:The whole place including the adjacent hotels you have access is quite large and beautiful. The grounds are very well kept with a few capybara which look large hamsters with a longer legs. Lots of coati's and iguanas, a few lizards, a few raccoon, but we did not see any spider monkeys. The paths go through the jungle. We had NO bugs in are room at all. The bad: - Buffet for b-fast & lunch got old after day 3. We tried one buffet for dinner and it was so bad, we did a la carte's the rest of the trip. - Italian restaurant was not good. We absolutely loved our stay in Mexico and particularly this resort. The resort is set in the jungle and consists of a number of low rise apartment blocks. They are nicely spread out which means that they are very quiet. Getting around the resort is very easy. Being Fitbit addics we walked everywhere and easily got to over 10000 steps every day. Walking back to the room after a lovely meal was a great end to the evening (and way to make your dinner go down). If you are not a walking fan though,... Read more

Myself and a group of 17 were here from July 8 to 18th for a wedding. This is a great resort, just too large for my taste. There is PLENTY of wildlife on this resort ranging from large lizards to beautiful birds, exotic fish and monkeys (although I never saw the latter) no snakes, no spiders. The rooms are a fine size with a sitting area , nothing exceptional, but clean. Rooms are nice but not enough space for 2 adults and 2 children. Kids club was not that great but it's a hotel one not a holiday company run so that makes a difference. Went for one week with my partner, brother and his partner. We stayed in a junior suite while they stayed in a regular room. Check in was very easy after a long delay getting there, no timeshare shoved in your face which was nice! Room was very spacious, clean and tidy. My mother had had some goodies put in the room for my birthday which was nice and the hotel had left me a small birthday gift, nice touch! So today my wife, myself and 4 others checked in to the Colonial, this being our third time we were really excited to finally arrive. Unfortunately our excitement ceased way to quick. Apparently Palladium offers returning guests a red bracelet that adds a few minor perks. Yet some how 2 of the 6 were given Bracelet, not quite sure how that happened considering i booked all 6 packages together. That being said not a big deal after a few skill testing questions of times and dates of last visits w... Read more

First of all sorry for the delay in writing this review. We flew Sunwing out of Edmonton and had a great flight there and back. Us and the couple we traveled with were the only ones going to the Palladium so we were put in a van. Our own private transportation without the extra cost. A nice bonus. The driver even stopped so we could pick up a few beer for the ride. We stayed in a Colonial Mayan suite. Ground floor. We like the location because it is close to everything. One of the reasons w... Spent 2 weeks here on our second visit. Lovely resort but let down by very poor customer service. Upon my return to the Uk, I realised I had left my driving licence at the water sports centre on the beach (they ask for photo ID to be left with them whilst using kayaks etc). I have since emailed the resort 5 times. Their Office Manager responded to my first email to say they would look into it. That was 2 weeks ago and I have since emailed another 4 times. After an hour and a half drive down from CUN, we were anxious to get into our room, unpack, and hit the beach. Our room wasn't ready, which is always expected at mega resorts, however, what I truly don't understand is the reasoning behind the time wasted by housekeeping.
