At first glance this hotel is old and in desperate need of updates however it has some key bonuses. Our upper floor room had a large balcony with a spectacular view. The room was spacious and the beds were great however the bathroom was dated and there was limited storage for clothes and toiletries and no fridge. The gym was excellent ( better than many 5 stars I've been to), the treadmills and ellipticals were quite new and there were many state of the art bikes if you like that sort of thing.... Read more

We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. It had everything you need plus the beds are great..best we've had!. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The food was good and always found something we liked. The location is right across the street from shops and it's on large stretch of beach. Most staff speak English although the resort is probably 90% Mexican tourists. The grounds and pools are well maintained. The resort is older but what we saw is in good repair. It can be loud in some rooms at ni... Read more

We visited with a party of 12 and while the room we stayed in only had the minimal amenities, it was perfect for us, since we spent limited time in our room. There were many fun activities for the whole family, we loved beach volleyball, water aerobics, water ballon fights and the awesome Mexican Fiesta! The staff was very friendly and accommodating and we would definitely stay here again! Thank you Isreal for always smiling and making us feel right at home!!

If you get there early the hotel will offer you the possibility to check in early for a price, if you don't want to pay more you need to wait until the check in time even if the room is empty. The food is not good enough, a seafood cocktail that was more likely a Surimi cocktail, the buffets consist mainly on cheap meals, there is nothing really fancy, no steaks, no great taste. The beverages are not good enough either, they have Mexican booze but not all the brands, only the cheapest ones, Ron... Read more

This is my second time to stay at this hotel (formerly the Presidente Intercontinental). The beds are very comfortable, the rooms and common areas are kept clean, and the view of the ocean excellent. We will stay here again when we return. The staff are very kind and helpful, starting with Jorge at the front desk. There are activities for all ages, and this would be a fun place to bring the whole family. The hotel is being updated, and it is a good value, plus the perfect location in Ixtapa (... Read more

I recently (November 4 to 18) at the Holiday inn Resort in Ixtapa. The staff were very friendly and the service was first rate. The room was kept clean and although it was an old room it was satisfactory (They are going to being upgrading many rooms during the summer). The food was very good with lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. All in all a very enjoyable experience.

Great location on the hotel strip. The hotel is right across the street from the shopping centre and local restaurants. Pool view room was nice and we had a very large deck with tables and chairs. Rooms and restaurant have been renovated and are clean with good maid service. Most of the waiters speak English and all very nice and helpful. All inclusive and food is just ok. The beach is great for long beach walks.

Quick review today... We stayed here for a week in March 2016. The location of this Hotel... well there is no better location if you want to visit the shops and bars/restaurants across the street! Which you will want to visit as the Meals here get old after the first day! Food was good not great, drinks on the other hand were the WORST drinks ever by any all inclusive we have stayed. The rooms and grounds were kept beautifully clean always.. Nothing to eat after 7pm ish. Have to go across the st... Read more

This is my next visit to the Pacific after many years and really wanted to have a good vacations experience. Spent weeks reading Tripadvisor reviews and found it a bit tricky to identify which one was the best hotel option, so I chose the one with good reviews and decent price. This hotel has everything it offers, they have good food, good drinks, comfortable rooms, excellent beach and pool, the most impressive wifi complementary service, and I mean it, it was perfect! I had a massage in their s... Read more
