Pros Great location and the staff were wonderful. The trip included breakfast and it was always served fresh and with a smile. The room had comfortable beds and good air conditioning. Two blocks from the Super Che ( supermarket which had everything you needed for food and beverages etc. The hotel's restaurant had the best, tastiest and most reasonable meals we ate in our week on holiday and we went to 10 other restaurants. Taxis to most of the beaches was $5 to $7 . There are 9 bays. Cons The ... Read more

Free breakfast, great staff, central location...does it get any better? This hotel is clean, happy and well organized. There is a beach club where you can go instead of just the hotel pool and it is very nice as well. We walked to Santa Cruz, we walked to Tangalunda and we walked to La Crucecita almost every day. We also rented a car and drove to Puerto Escondido one day. The area is beautiful and the people are amazing.

Wonderful hotel, wonderful service. The food was delicious, the staff was courteous, and it was our favorite ambiance of all the hotels we saw in Huatulco. I would stay here again. Also, we loved the live music every night.

We certainly agree with all the good reviews about this place below, nothing new to add there. We were a little disappointed that our room (#211) had an 'obstructed' view of the pool, and was overtop of the restaurant (the smells/noise early in the morning were sometimes a bit much) with nothing much to see but a pile of tiles. Didn't seem much point in moving just for that. However, the room itself was very good (didn't have a fridge but we asked at the front desk and they put one in immediatel... Read more

The hotel is small but has everything you need, and the staff is very friendly! Food is nice, the view to the ocean is great and the room we had was big and comfortable. It is near the super Che, and to Crucecita.

This was the 3rd time I've stayed here. I've looked my stay each time. This hotel is a great value (with or without breakfast package). The Jr. suite upgrade is worth it if you need extra room, but the loft floors are squeaky, so I wouldn't upgrade if you don't need it. The food is very good at the restaurant. I wouldn't upgrade to the breakfast package for 3 reasons. First, you can buy the breakfast each day for $150 (about $8-9usd) which is the same price or better than the upgrade. Seco... Read more

We stayed here in April and thoroughly enjoyed our time. Our first non-inclusive (after many trips to Cuba, the DR and Mexico etc). The Hotel Villablanca exceeded our expectations and we enjoyed our first "real" Mexican experience. The local culture, people and cuisine were fantastic, the beaches with the local Families and ex-pats were a great time. For anyone looking to break out of the usual cookie-cutter buffet all inclusive cycle vacation, Hualtuco is a perfect choice. We met so many amazin... Read more

We stayed at Villablanca in April and couldn't be happier. The room, the service, and the food were all excellent. Access to the beach club is a plus too. The hotel is centrally located to Chahue, Santa Maria, Crucecita, and Tangolunda. Breakfast is amazing and a little different each morning. Fresh made quesadillas and huaraches, made just the way you want them. You can't go wrong here. We'll be back.

I booked Hotel Villablanca based on many great Trip Advisor reviews. We were not disappointed. All of the staff were so very friendly and accommodating. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The balcony was great for us to watch our daughter in the pool. Restaurant had an excellent breakfast buffet and dinner was good as well. We enjoyed many other wonderful restaurants that were all within walking distance. Very nice place to stay.

Overall we were very comfortable and well attended to. Great staff and very friendly. Very clean and comfortable. Great food! We were able to have others come and eat with us at our hotel restaurant and that was very nice. Would recommend to others and go back again! Would be nice to be able to have family members who are not staying at the hotel be able to hang out in the room. Had some confusion at the beginning with payment but was all straightened away. Helpful in ordering taxis if raining. ... Read more

We chose the Hotel Villablanca for a one night stay because of it's location and it's reasonable price. It turned out to be a great choice. Location is excellent - short walk to the beach, Santa Cruz or downtown La Crucesita. The Super Che is just one block away to stock up on provisions (we were moving on to a house rental in the area). The basic but tasteful Mexican décor of the rooms extended to the two restaurants, and lively pool area. Everyone was friendly, breakfast was good,... Read more

I strongly recommend the villablanca, it exceeded everything: location, price (we get an excellent rate), service, food quality, affordable. Additional they have an agreement with a spa (5 min walking), so you can go to the gym, play tennis, beach club. We got an upgrade during the stay, so we couldn't be happier, our room was next to the pool with an excellent view.

A nice comfortable hotel that has clean rooms and a reasonable restaurant. The property is very well kept as is the nice pool. It is conveniently close to la Crucecita and about 2 blocks for the beach. It is also walking distance from Santa Cruz Marina.

This was my 4th stay at Hotel Villablanca and it never disappoints. The rooms are very clean. The hotel has a very nice setting and atmosphere without being pretentious. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. For some reason the room we had booked didn't have enough light. We were immediately upgraded to a Junior Suite which was very nice and comfortable. But the highlight remains the excellent food and service at the hotel restaurant. Poolside service is also available. Hotel is not loca... Read more

We stayed at this hotel Feb 2016. We liked it so much , we booked again for Jan /17. Great location for access to all areas of Huatulco. Had no idea , apart from TA reviews and Photos, what we were getting in to . It turned out Great! Food was Awesome (booked the Breakfast Plan) All other meals including snacks by the pool were wonderful, and are highly rated in the area. Many Non-Guests visit the hotel for meals. Room was a little dated but served our needs well. The Building Held up to... Read more

We've been here two nights with three more to go and it's just a very comfortable place to stay. The room is clean and spacious. Quite at night. Seems to be mostly families. Get the breakfast package. It's tasty and plentiful. The personnel here couldn't be nicer. The pool is great too!

Some friends and I visited Huatulco for the first time last week, beginning with a 3-night stay at Hotel Villablanca. We absolutely adored everything about this hotel: the architecture is reminiscent of Old World Mexico, the rooms are clean, spacious, and quaint, the food is OUTSTANDING (definitely add the breakfast option), the pool is beautiful and the staff are top-notch. We liked it so much that we left our beach house in San Agustinillo a day early to come back to Villablanca! I will defini... Read more

We stayed 3 nights originally and added an extra night because the property was so comfortable and relaxing. We booked directly on hotel website and found better price than trip advisor. This place is fantastic: attentive staff, extremely clean, comfortable bed, quality sheets and towels. The grounds around the pool is immaculate and beautifully landscaped. We had breakfast and room service dinner and both were great. I cannot imagine a better hotel in huatulco at this price range. 30 pesos t... Read more

We stayed at the Hotel Villa Blanca for the month of January. It is centrally located and within walking distance of all amenities. The hotel is older but very clean. Any issues we had (and they were few) were addressed promptly. Breakfast was included in our stay which was excellent. Staff are very friendly and helpful. This was our fourth visit to Huatulco but first stay in this hotel. Would definitely stay there in the future.

We were part of three couples who traveled here for a quick Fall getaway. We chose the Villablanca because of all of the great reviews on Trip Advisor and we did not want to do an all inclusive. We were not disappointed! I cannot say enough good things about the staff, from our check in, to the restaurant/pool staff, the cleaning staff, and general maintenance workers. Within easy walking distance to beaches, the square and Santa Cruz marina. Great Rooms, free music performances most nights (tips), and surprisingly excellent food and drinks. Lobby/Pool area music could use a touch-up (they like to play first nation melodies that are a bit slow/depressing for the atmosphere which would be better suited for a spa room or something like that).
