Yes, this is an older hotel! But, great service all around. We stayed on the 10th floor and had the most amazing view from our massive balcony! The grounds were so beautifully manicured and kept so clean. The shuttle service was always available down to the lobby or the beach (which is a little bit of a walk). However, we walked it frequently. Not a big deal, although we aren't in our 70's or 80's. Check in was a breeze and quick! The food in the a la carte was good and the buffet is a buffet. A... We have just returned from our fourth visit to Huatulco, and the third spent at Park Royal, formerly Crown Pacific. It was our first time there since the change of ownership so we were interested to see what, if anything, had changed. Nothing has and this is a good thing. The Park Royal is one of the few hotels in Tangolunda not right on the beach. It cleverly uses the natural rise of the land from the sea to stair-step up the escarpment, thus affording dynamite views for each room further e... Read more

I have sectioned it down to make it quick and easy. The Rooms: We had a junior suite, so the room was large and spacious with an amazing view from our 10th floor balcony. We enjoyed it immensely. The AC was amazing, however, our room featured NO privacy. There obviously is a door to the bathroom, but the toilet was in a little U section of wall, one side the door, and the other leading to a massive tub (not a jacuzzi) that had the worst shower head that hardly worked, but the "tub room" lead to... this is a great little hotel. Its not a great big resort and the floor plan is so unqie that you learn really quickly how fit you are / or aren't LOL Its full of locals and travelers and loads of hidden little gems. We only had 5 full days to explore and get our holidays in so I'm sure we missed alot. It was't very busy and if I was to travel there again, which I am sure we will, I'ld spend more time at the kids pool as there was no one using it or the juice bar! LOL Not a partners hotel bu... This was a last minute booking for me and for the price I enjoyed myself. I was very impressed with the size of the suite and we were on an upper floor with a nice view. Shuttle cars take you around and down to the beach club and they ran frequently so were very efficient. On the downside I found the food mediocre and most other guests expressed the same opinion. We went to the a la carte restaurant one evening and sat for fifteen minutes before anyone acknowledged we were sitting there and ... Read more

Positives The rooms are big, clean with balcony with a nice bay view (room level 09 and 10 recommended for the views). Hotel design is nice base on building not in a flat space (like a hill), but with a lot of green and well maintained areas. Staff is the best from this hotel, all the time ready to help. I have to say I speak Spanish that makes communication easier, but see some problems with other languages (English) to clear communicate. Transportation from the level to the lobby and the bea... We were looking for a last minute type getaway and having never travelled to Hualtuco jumped at a price of $925 all inclusive including air from Vancouver via Sunwing. Not much to say about Sunwing, it is what it is - a charter airline. Pick-up at the airport and transportation to the resort was quick and painless. I had been in contact with the reservations desk prior to heading down and had requested and been advised that as we were arriving early evening, they would make a reservation for u... Read more

The room was fine and the fact that there were shuttles to take you to your room is quite nice because the hill the resort is built on is quite steep. The food at the beach buffet was abysmal. How in the world do you do such a bad job of Mexican food in Mexico. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't looking for Americanized versions of Mexican food. I was just looking for decent food. Taco Bell is better than the food served at the buffet. Thankfully we had the silver wristband. Silver and Gold bands get... Read more

Do not go to this place, it is horrible. Super old, terrible hard beds bathroom tub filthy. The food had no flavor and it was the same thing for the 7 days I was there. NO beach you have to take a golf cart to it and you can't get in. Overall waist of money!!

daughter who was 6 , myself 31 and husband 33 stayed here in March 2016. The property is beautiful but its set up funny on the side of a hill. lots of walking and using the tram. the food was fine, no complaints there. I would say if you get a killer deal this is a good resort to do a cheap week away in the sun (as we did). The rooms are huge and the place is well kept with lots of old school mexican charm. the staff are very friendly and treated us well. We also found the rooms by the upper p... Read more

We are seasoned and experienced travelers with all-inclusive, mid-level resorts in Mexico and Latin America but have very limited Spanish speaking skills. This was our second trip to the Huatulco and we spent 14 days here in late July/early August. We were in Building 10 with a good view of the bay. Honestly, every single person we encountered, both at the resort and off, were friendly and happy. Our visit was during low season and we were the only English-speaking gringos at the resort. ...
