We enjoyed the Villablanca Hotel - location was great with access to 4 dive shops and 4 restaurants. Easy 1/2 hour hike to downtown for evening dinner or just to go to the Mega. It was easy to grab a tank and go for a shore dive off the beach. We booked a standard room but upgraded to a superior. If we come again we will upgrade to a Villa and do alot more of our own cooking. We enjoyed many breakfasts at the Arturro's restaurant at Villa Blanca as well as meals across the street at Le Hach. We had an enjoyable 2 weeks stay in a superior room at the VB. Clean, quiet and safe place. Wifi was a little sketchy on certain days. With a little TLC & some elbow grease, the VB could easily be a 4 star.

The hotel is located across the street from the water. The beach has no sand and is very rocky. The hotel has its own pier where diving excursions and fly-boarding were happening. About a $7 cab ride into downtown. And about $15 cab ride into the (sandy) beach club area of town (south)

It is nice, simple, clean, and close to town, it had everything we needed. It was quiet with a small restaurant if you chose to stay in. Two dive shops close by, one beside and the other across the street. If you rent a car there is parking right out front or easy to grab a cab. I didn't use the TV much since we were out and about and not inside watching tv. There is a small wash station for your dive gear, we could hang our clothes to dry and no worries about it disappearing over nite. The pool... Read more

Hate to continue giving reviews on these guys; but we keep staying there so we must like it. The Superior rooms and large and very clean with lots of hot water. I do suggest that you pack a large bar of soap or buy one there as the hotel soap just doesnâ??t lather very well. The pool is always cleaned in the morning, so swimming is no problem. This is a very good 3 star property and with 3 dive operators right next door, Itâ??s a perfect place to stay and dive.

Comfortable beds, big rooms and a nice pool make Villablanca a nice place to be if you like the peace and quiet of the diving end of the island. You're quite a ways away from the hub of restaurants and cruise-ship destinations (which, in my opinion, is a good thing). Simple, clean, does the trick, but probably better for divers than for non-divers.
