A beautiful property a couple of miles outside of Cozumel right on Paradise Reef. We paid extra to upgrade from an ocean view to a beach front superior ($100 more/night).....can't say if it was worth the money but we enjoyed it. The ground floor room and private patio were very comfortable with beautiful views, a private hammock, and about 10 steps to table, chairs, and grass umbrella on the beach. Bar and food service is provided on the beach. The rooms on this side of the property had two s... Read more

The first two visits (all within the past year) got five stars hence the third. Maybe our expectations were too high as this time fell flat. Mainly we hoped in high season there would be more entertainment offerings. There was a kids movie on a Sunday but that was only difference. After dinner there's literally nothing to do- which is ok but gets monotonous. Especially with rain which is often in spurts on this island. We found staff less responsive this trip compared to previous - though hotel ... Read more

Presidente is the only resort I have found that has fabulous snorkeling right off the beach. Rooms were comfortable and clean, the food was great and the service exceptional. We intended to go off property as it is not all inclusive and it was just too easy to stay there, have great meals, drinks and sunsets.

I like this hotel. Its well situated far from the cruise ships and has its own stretch of water and sand. There are 3 legitimate places to go snorkeling and there is fair diversity of aqua life just around the hotel. The water can get rough though but not bad for not having to leave the hotel. We like the 2 restaurants by the water - decent food and drinks. There are a lot of families here so we appreciated being situated closer to the adult pool. Perhaps my favorite thing about this hotel is th... Read more

5 visits so far, and each one is better than the last. A chic oasis tucked away from downtown, which rolls up the sidewalks at 9 anyway, that offers everything one would want in a 5 star resort on this peaceful island. None of the pretense of a Four Seasons, just gracious service, outstanding food, impeccable rooms, and privacy when needed. I dream about our next visit. Yes, it's that good.

Let me preface this by saying that if this hotel advertised itself as a 4 star hotel, this would be a 5 star review. Also, I realize the hotel just recently re-opened after a 2 month renovation so I am certainly not knocking that. The hotel itself is beautiful - I had booked a large ocean view room and was incredibly happy with the size of the room, views that were spectacular and the overall comfort of the place. The staff that I dealt with was friendly and tried there best to accommodate an... Read more

This fantastic resort just re-opened after an extensive remodel. Actually, one wing is still being remodeled as of this writing. We were here for two nights and wished we had stayed 3-4. Staff are very nice and professional. Three restaurants on-site offer excellent food and service, two with great ocean views. The pools are beautiful, with extended sun decks beautifully integrated into the design. We did four scuba dives and you can book them in the lobby through the company Scuba Du (very safe... Stayed here from July 15, 2016 to July 19, 2016. It seems like half of the resort's room were still under construction/renovation. As such, we were stuck in an old room even though we requested to be upgraded multiple times only to be told they were full. They said that construction should be done in about 2 months, so it seems like we were 2 months too early :( The food and service were excellent. For the most part our 9 day stay was excellent and the areas that have been remodeled were beautiful. Customer service and attentiveness to our needs and concerns were addressed by Iliana (Front Desk Manager) immediately. The remodel of the front of the hotel is grande with the infinity fountain. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Presidente Hotel but felt like they missed the mark on a few areas of service that could have made it an excellent stay. Although I have lived on the island (in the early 90's) and have returned on numerous occasions since moving back to Canada, this was our first time at the Presidente. Cozumel has a range of hotels, most of which are moderate to budget priced for people coming to dive. The Presidente is not one of these hotels. The Presidente has long... Read more

You get the best of Mexico here. Good beach area (not the best) but swimming and snorkeling right outside the rooms is awesome. Authentic mexican feel with well kept rooms and grounds. Rooms are huge and authentic. Food was pretty good. Although we rented a car and traveled the island so we didn't eat too much on the property. There was a Barricuda fish that greeted us each day near the latter into the ocean for snorkeling. I wonder if it is still there! Would Totally go back!!

This used to be the perfect combination of hotel and diving activities. For some reason, it has been redesigned for everybody except scuba divers. From "horrendous" to "incomprehensible", opinions go only one way. They have condemned their principal deck to put luxurious roman beds, forcing divers to use a small deck where people have lunch or dinner. The dive shop with equipment is at the far end of the beach. The personlle of the dive shop is making remarkable efforts to cope, all that because... Read more

We stayed there for a week, we got a great price for their standard room, when we arrived they tried to upgrade us from first floor to rooms with a view. Not worth it, the first floor is great with outdoor showers and view of gardens. AC worked awesome, people were all very friendly, mixed drinks not so good but order top shelf if you care. Food is good, breakfast buffett is good. Nothing is less then good but mostly very good to excellent. Dove with Scuba Dos which is right on sight. Vict... Read more

Our family went to this resort on our summer vacation. We spent 7 nights there and had the most wonderful experience. From concierge Jhonni Sunza Chief Concierge who took his time to accommodate all of our needs, to the pool staff and waiters: Jesus Cervantes, Gerardo Chi, Guillermo Yam, Eduardo Pena, Efren Chuc and Juan Jose Hernandez, the level of care was unmatched. The restaurants had breathtaking views and the food and drinks were delicious. With 2 small kids (8 and 4), we utilize room serv... Read more

We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this resort! The El Presidente is stunningly beautiful. A perfect combination of Mayan Culture meeting Contemporary Design. From the palm tree-lined driveway and entrance to the open-air lobby, you know that you are in Paradise! We have stayed there for the last 2 Thanksgiving Holidays and we also book a room here for the day every time we are in port on a cruise ship. (2x a year) The ocean front location is stunning. The water is as pretty, if not, prettier than anythi... Read more

Where to start.... just left the hotel, and already wishing to go back soon! The Good: The hotel and grounds are absolutely amazing 5stars!! Everything there is picture perfect! About half the rooms were recently updated, so I was hoping we would get one of those rooms. When they told us our pool view room was not updated I was a little disappointed, but they were able to upgrade us for free to a water view suite. The suite was also not updated, but we went ahead and took the room anyways. The... Read more

My wife, 10 year old Daughter and I came to spend my birthday on November 20th and stayed here 8 days from 11-16- to 11-23. Not sure where to start, as there were so many great things about our trip to the Presidente intercontinental. We arrived by taxi at night, the entrance was palatial. We went into the open air entrance and immediately greeted by wonderful staff. The room was just recently renovated, travertine throughout, amazing walk in shower and wall to wall, floor to ceiling windows with an ocean view. The grounds were outstanding as well. The pool and adjacent area just renovated, with a negative edge po... Read more
