"The room in our bungalow was clean. Bed was not too comfortable. Walk to the lobby from our room was very long.Food at the restaurants was poor. The chefs need to learn how to marinate and tenderize meat...mostly shoe leather. Breakfast was the best meal of the day. Other guests would 'reserve (joke)' chairs at the pools during the night so unless you cared to stake your claim, you will NEVER get a seat at the pool. The entire staff was exceptional and friendly. I had a massage at the spa that was one of the best I've ever had. We were there at spring break and felt like every line we stood in for a meal was really long."

"The staff was VERY friendly and the entire resort was exceptionally clean. They say there are 3 pools but there's really not because they are all looped together in the same area although there is a nice shallow pool at the end for the young kids. Not enough chairs to sit at around the pool - everyone would put their stuff on chairs so you couldn't use them but rarely were the chairs full of people sitting in them, very frustrating. I had to drag up chairs from the beach to have somewhere to sit and watch my child in the pool. Forget about playing/swimming in the ocean - it's way too rocky in the water but the sandy beach is nice. Deep sea fishing was comical at best, the boat was old, SMALL, and none of the gauges we saw even worked, seas were rocky and not even a bite. The boat was over half an hour late to pick us up.
BRING YOUR OWN DRAMAMINE - they don't have any to provide and if you've never done this before you could spend lots of time throwing up. Food at resort was not what we prefer, mostly pizza, burgers & fries at buffets with very little fresh seafood or Mexican food. Breakfast was the best meal of the day with made-to-order omelets. The El Sarappe was so bad we called it the El Crappy, with service to match. My dinner was served a full 7 minutes after the rest of my party. We recommend Albertos next door to eat wonderful fresh seafood at and Paradise Beach just down the road to go swim in the ocean and play during the day but you are spending more $. Most beach restaurants off the resort close by 5 p.m.
due to the mosquitos - bring bug spray. The Star Friends were great and the maid service was phenomenal. Bartenders were fabulous. When we booked our trip we were guaranteed 2 reservations at the nicer restaurants on site, but they only give you 1 reservation. We were going to talk to mgmt. about it but the first restaurant was so disappointing we figured why waste our time. There are no free watersports like advertised; they're inexpensive but still not what was promised. The wildlife was awesome, and we loved Pepe the Parrot. Rooms were small but comfy for the money and the TV showed American and Mexican programs. Beautiful resort with great staff but not enough good food or sandy beach for me to go back."

"THE BAD: Upon arrival at 10:30 pm floor had water puddles in bathroom into bedroom due to dripping overhead pipe in ceiling over toilet. On fourth day marble fell from bathroom sink shattering on floor. Staff very friendly and apologetic. fixed pipes and removed broken marble. Offered new room but wife to sick to move.
Variety of food good BUT question refrigeration of food after standing in heat.
THE GOOD:
Resort is beautiful with plenty of activities. Staff is friendly. Assistant manager was trying to rectify problems we were having."
"Unique is a good description for this small resort. It is entirely made up of bungalows and very few have views of the ocean, even though the resort it oceanfront. If the weather doesn't cooperate - you get wet going to and from dining and events. The patios are covered but it is with branches and is not weatherproof. You aren't able to sit out and enjoy the tropical rains (which were frequent and hard during our stay). There is not a dresser or drawers of any kind to unload luggage. The only view is out the double glass door. It is truly a hotel room. The grounds are lush and green and the wildlife is abundant in their natural setting. A lot of iguanas! The pink flamingo area is lovely as well. There are plenty of chairs available at the ocean because the shore is rocky and not swim friendly. The pool chairs were much harder to come by. The water sports and diving excursions are close and convenient at a pier on the resort. The staff was very friendly and the food was good although there was a noticeable shortage of fresh seafood. Drinks were easily available and, as in most all inclusive settings, fairly watered down and made with off brand liquor unless a special brand was requested. If you have children, they do have many activities for them and seem to accomodate the family.
In closing -- it was a nice resort...not my usual experience but still nice. I recommend for families with children, as you are able to see them from almost any point around the pool...but they will not be able to enjoy the beach because of the rocks. It says kiddie pool and multiple pools but they are all right together. I will probably not go back but I prefer oceanview accomodations on a larger resort with more dining and entertainment options."

"Our trip to Iberostar in Cozumel was wonderful! The staff is amazing. Everyone is very friendly and helpful and the star friends staff is outstanding. I recommend you participate in there pool activities or a game of sand volleyball or dance lessons. They work hard from day to night making sure everyone is having a good time. The nightly shows in the theatre are fun. The hotel is most definately the most scenic on the island. The hut style rooms and buildings, all the trees, plants and wildlife...it's like a beautiful jungle. If you are seeking a beautiful, relaxing resort, then Iberostar Cozumel is the one for you! The bed is hard, but toleratable and from what I hear that is all you find anywhere in Mexico. I do recommend water shoes as it is a little rough walking out into the water. And if you plan to call home to the states bring a calling card with you. The food is good. We also went to the Mexican and Rock specialty restaurants and had good food and a fun time. The only thing that wasn't as stated when we researched was the water sports. We had read that the non motorized water sports, such as kyacking, sails, ect. were free, however there is a $2 per person, per day charge for this equipment. Not a bad deal, just that we weren't expecting to be charged for it. We would highly recommend this resort and are looking forward to a return trip in the future! Thank you Iberostar!"

"I loved this resort! We stayed for 7 days and really can't say one bad thing about this place. The staff all the way down to the maid were just as friendly as they could be and eager to help you with anything you may need. The Star friends were great too. I can't wait to go back next year with my whole family."

"We stayed in Cozumel in April 2012. The hotel was very nice and not too crowded. The food was good. The site is beautiful with a luxuriant vegetation. However, the beach is rocky and there is not a lot of fish near the shore. You have to take a boat tour if you want to see fish or drive to the beautiful Punta Sur Beach (15 minutes driving). We recommend this hotel."
"We just returned from a 7 day vacation to Iberostar Cozumel and we had yet another fabulous vacation there! We were there in Jun of 2010, and just spent the last week of May there again! We LOVE it there!!! Our kids are 16 and 11 and they did not want to leave. The Star friends are the best...they were wonderful to hang out with and so much fun! We will definitely return...probably next year. Thanks to the staff at the Iberostar and the wonderful friends we met there for making our trip amazing once again!!! "
"Our trip to Cozumel was awesome, the staff at Iberostar were great. They did everything they could to make you fell welcome and enjoy your stay. The food was not as good because it was off season, but we had plenty to eat, just not as many choices. I highly recommend it."
"We visited in April 2011. Stayed 9 nights. Loved everything about the hotel!! We usually visit Cozumel every year. Love diving. Our rooms were very clean, the staff is very, very friendly and accomodating. Food was great. Will return next year!"
