"Hotel Cozumel is older but very charming & warm. The rooms are very clean. The staff was very friendly. I liked having to get some exercise walking through the tunnel or across the street to the beach. It was just a very nice place to stay, very well groomed and cared for. I went at an off time so there weren't many people. I'd go back and from the people I met, it seems they have many return customers."

"Ok, so it's not the most modern hotel, but this is Mexico, lighten up. The rooms were clean, the grounds were beautiful and well manicured, lobby, bar and buffet areas also very clean. The 'beach' area was nice with a great bar and eating area, as well as easy access for swimming and snorkel. The pool is huge and clean with plenty of sun and shaded areas depending on your mood.( Do inspect your beach chairs as some of them don't operate quite right.)
The food was good for all-inclusive,(especially breakfast). Drinks were well made and very plentiful with many choices, except beer, if you are a beer drinker, you are stuck with the house draft which isn't bad.
The staff is wonderful, with a smile and pleasant greeting every time. These people work hard to make your stay as nice as possible.
A good value if you want to kick back, relax, do a little diving, snorkleling, sun bathing."

"Our family of four stayed here for a week at Christmas, 2012. The hotel was fine for a three star hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed the staff, who were very friendly and always helpful. The all-inclusive is the way to go...not having to mess with money for tips, drinks, meals, etc. The man made sandy beach area is nice to lay out on, but is very rocky where the water begins. I was told the island changed dramatically about 8 years ago when the hurricane hit and left much of the island with rocky beaches on one side of the island, instead of sandy beaches of the past. The hotel is older but this did not present a problem. We had two rooms with 2 beds in each room, and preferred a King bed in one, but there were none available. We had the ocean view rooms, and only one of the rooms had a decent view of the ocean. The other had a very small view of the ocean. These rooms were very loud on the balcony because of traffic on the road. We might request a poolside room if we go again. Linens were fine but the pillows were awful. We had trouble with our air conditioner the first night, calling for maintenance at 10:15 p.m. when we returned to our room. Within 10 minutes, maintenance was there to switch out the remote control and we had no more problems. The food was repetitive, but was actually good each meal. We enjoyed the 3 different meal areas at different times of the day. If you go to Cozumel, be sure to drive to Punta Sur, the most beautiful ecological park with sandy beaches, beautiful water and great snorkeling. Also, if you take a snorkeling tour, ask to go to 'The Sky'. We had a great stay for the value. We would stay here again. The pool area is very nice, with a very large pool that was not crowded at all, with plenty of lounge chairs, tables, etc. for everyone.
We did have trouble getting beach towels at the pool area for the first 4 days we were there, so you might take your own. Location is good. Overall, a great vacation."

"The hotel itself is a bit dated, but, big deal, you're in Cozumel. We were on the all-inclusive plan which is only about $10 more a day. We went out to eat every night, but still came out way ahead by eating breakfest before our dives and a snack and drinks after. Breakfast was always safe with made-to-order eggs and toast.
The dive shop with lockers is right across the street via an underground tunnel. It's great to be able to do shore dives from there whenever you want for $6 a tank with weights. Lots of life right there. And most any dive op will come and pick you up from their pier.
The staff was friendly and the front desk was easy to work with when we requested a room with a better view. Drinks are well made with little or no waiting for service in the dining room or at the drink counters.
Ultimately it is a no-frills all-inclusive. If you're not the picky kind, this is a great place to stay and enjoy Cozumel."

"Our trip was great. Everything was great. Food was good (kind of reptitive though) but still good. Dive shop & staff was great. It may not be beach front but the tunnel to the private beach was nice. Very relaxing, somedays we had the beach to ourselves. The ocean access was very easy with steps in multiple locations. Drinks were much better than expected, we had our choice of any drink we wanted and even played the surprise me with a drink game. Not a five star facility but overall a great value and great time."

"Our first experience with an All Inclusive resort and we loved it. The staff was extremely friendly and the beach and pool were excellent. Rooms could use some up-dating and linens defintely need to be up-graded but we would stay again for the price. Had a great time with our friends and truely relaxed."

"For the price, and all the amenities this is a good deal. Food and drink being all-inclusive was a great plus. My wife and I found the food to be good to excellent, the drinks were diffinently not shorted. The dive shop, lockers and boat pier are right there. The staff was very friendly. The Hotel, because of it's age, is in need some maintenance, alot of little things, but still a bargain. We would stay here again"

"
Friendly staff, beautiful large pool, nice beachfront access. Located just a short stroll from downtown, but not in a noisy area. Grounds were nice.
The only complaint is the usual one for an all-inclusive... the food. Breakfast is a full menu and quite good. Lunch and dnner are completely hit or miss. Some days adequate and others pretty poor.
Overall a good value, but be prepared to eat out some of the nights."

"We had a great time visiting Hotel Cozumel and Resort. This was our third time staying here. We enjoy the waiting staff and both supervisors of the staff. The hotel manager has always been professional and helpful. We enjoy that after we arrive from diving no matter what time of day, we can always get something to eat and drink at the pool area until the restaurants open up for dinner. The rooms are clean and the food is the same as most places in Cozumel. We have already booked a return trip to this hotel in February 2013."

"This was our 3rd time staying at Hotel Coz, My husband and I both love it,nThe food is OK, beds are FIRM,but I asked the housekeeping staff for extra blankets that I folded up under the sheet. You cannot beat the price and a dive shop right across the street. The staff are the BEST!!"

"Great hotel if you are a scuba diver. Rooms are more basic than what they show on their web site. Food is fine, not great and is never very hot. Buffet typically has the same items or a variation of items from meal to meal. The hot tub is colder than the pools and doesn't have actual jets that run. The shows are not 'kid friendly' and very amateurous. Why they decided to pound out rocks from the building near the pool bar during our stay, I will never understand. It was very loud, distracting and annoying for us and the guests as well as the employees to have to deal with. I would book this hotel again knowing what I know now."

"Hi Everyone,
We just got back and had a great trip overall. Hotel was a great value and perfect if you want to be 10 min or less from downtown and VERY close to two great Dive Shops. It was a 5-6.00 cab ride to the downtown and a walk across the street for diving. We stayed for 5 nights. I would rate the food as a 3 to 4....I would say a 4 but there was not much variety daily but it was always fresh and we never got sick. Great omlettes every morning seems to be the consensus. Good luck though if you have picky kids who don't like fajitas for luch or dinner. They did cook great pasta though and the kids would like that. Drinks were always readily available- margaritas were hit and miss in quality...gin/tonics you can't go wrong. Pool bar service was slow...but friendly. The rom....clean enough...nice sheets I have to say....but lumpy pillows.

"Just spent 10 days at the Hotel Cozumel and Resort and had a very good experience. The staff was friendly and efficient, the rooms were clean, and the grounds were well maintained. I would stay there again and recommend it to my friends."
"Overall, it was a nice place to stay. The rooms and hotel were clean. The pool was great! The nightly shows were entertaining. The beds were hard but not a deal breaker. The dining options were a bit undesirable, but the food was good. The only restaurant available most of the time had a dress code (and there were only 2, not 3, as advertised). The snack bar was only open until 6:30 so if you don't want to eat in the 'dining room', you better be back from any excursions, shopping, snorkeling, etc. early enough to catch the snack bar or you will need to dress for dinner or eat out (which defeats the purpose of an All-inclusive). This we were not expecting as we packed for vacation. There were guests that were asked to leave the restaurant because of tank tops. The best part of the dining was Berta, who makes fresh omelets for breakfast. We did not find the staff to be inviting or friendly at times. They were also not readily available to wait on you either by the pool or in the restaurant. If we stayed here again, it would be because of the price and the location as it is just a few minutes from downtown. Also, the snorkeling area just across from the hotel is fantasic! It fails in comparison to other All-inclusive resorts we have been to, but we would know what to expect."

"No way, never again! My Mom, my sister and myself take a trip every year...this one was a huge mistake! The pictures on the website are VERY misleading! The staff is not friendly, informative or inviting! The buffet during all hours was horrible! There is nothing to do at this place, the pool is boring, the waterfalls don't work (for ambiance) and there isn't even music playing...ANYWHERE! After our first night, we tried to change hotels but the internet 'has no connection'. The fitness center is a joke! I will NEVER EVER STAY HERE AGAIN AND I'LL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!"

"The rooms we stayed in were not the ones shown on the ad, however, they were exceptionally clean (and kept that way during our stay) and comfortable. The staff at the hotel was welcoming, very helpful, from the minute we walked through the door until we left. The bellmen helped us arrange personal taxi tours, the service from waiters, housekeeping and staff in general was excellent. The buffet was plentiful, and if we wanted something different the staff recommended some very nice local restaurants and the taxi drivers made sure we got to and from the destinations at reasonable rates. We were very satisfied with the experience and will welcome the opportunity to return. "

"This was our 2nd year in a row as a family snorkeling trip. This hotel is great, all accomodations, the entire staff is incredibly courteous, accomodating and easy to be around. Walk to town is safe and simple, pool and beach/sand area for divers snorkeler's is great. Beds are bit hard, but it takes a lot to make any of our trips bad - and this was not bad either last year or this year. We stayed 9 days / 8 nights... This is a great option in Cozumel."

"the hotel was nice. rooms were standard. staff was friendly. decorations were wonderful. the only thing really wrong with the hotel was the food. I would say it was less than edible. the only thing worth eating was breakfast and that was only because they had a lady making fresh omelets. we were very disappointed in the food. if we go back to this hotel it will not be all inclusive as we did enjoy walking into town and being able to eat at all the restaurant, there are plenty within a 10 minute walk."

"This is the place to be!!!! The staff is very helpful, hotel is clean and the food is above average. For the price you cannot beat it. Huge benefit if you are diver it doesn't get any better than this ONSITE dive shop and equipment that is REASONABLE! We always like to explore the city so for meals we ate at the hotel during the day and went into town at night....."
"we stayed at this hotel in april 2012..it may not be a 5 star but the hotel was great..rooms very clean..entire hotel was spotless..bed was comfy..AC worked perfect, at times it was to cold!..great hotel for divers..the food was average but there was always something you would like and they never had the same meals everyday..drinks were good..the staff was more than helpful with everything..really did enjoy my 10 day stay here and i would stay there again.. the only thing that they should have is coffee pots in the rooms..nice to have some coffee before going down for breakfast.."

"Have been to Cozumel 4 years now and love this hotel and resort. Staff is always ahead of your thoughts and needs, LOVE THEM ALL. When the kids were outnumbering us at the pool there was the better scenery on the Ocean beach side. No issues here, food can be repetitive but 10 days/yr I never get enough of it all year, so its all good. We would recommend watching the timing of the 2 weeks of the year which the mainlanders invade for their vacations if people/couples want more privacy at the pool side."
"april 2012, was at the hotel for 10 days..it isnt a 5 star hotel but was a great stay there..hotel was very cleaned and taken care of..rooms were spotless and cleaned good everyday..beds were comfy..food was average and something dofferent everyday..some days were better than other..good place to go out to eat is Primas..AC worked great was always cold enough if not to cold..the staff was always helpful..the beach was nice but not that easy to get in..was more for the divers..had great dive shop there also"

"Not a bad experience. This resort is for familes with children 13 or younger or couples. No night life at the resort. 75% of nationalities there were mexican."
"The Staff and hotel was wonderful. We had our wedding and reception their. The staff was really on top of things and very accommodating. We had a wonderful time.
We will definitely be going back their for our anniversary.
"
"Other than great location, hotel was disappointing. Food very Blah. The real helpful staff were outnumbered by those that would rather point to a sign than speak to you. Pool & hot tub area had cracked & missing tiles. The 'No children Hott tub had kids in it constantly along with a bunch of smokers. Women's restroom in lobby/restaurant area was out of order for 3 days. Still looking for the advertised coffee maker. Beach restaurant closed for private weddings. Many broken Sun loungers. No Conceirge. Lobby bar not open during the advertised hours. Was told I had Hotel to airport transportation set up for end of trip and shortly after that phone call got a call from another shuttle service to meet them in the lobby and got NO SHOWED."
".The atmosphere is inspiring and the cost for my family was great !...The one restaurant was not open due to off season...so the menu was very limited...They ensured our privacy and were very attentive to all our needs.....would I return to Hotel Cozumel.....well YES.....in fact....we have our SECOND vacation booked for April....so Mexico here we come !!!!!!"
"Needed sun and clear blue sea ad sky and that's exactly what I got! I'd be more careful of the timeshare salesmen at the airport next time...but the hotel itself and the staff were all wonderful, I hope to one day return with my family!"
"The airfare, hotel accommodations, and transfers from and to the airport were excellent. Bookit.com personnel contacted me at the hotel to provide the information I needed for the transfer to the airport and I did not even have to worry about contacting them. It was an excellent trip and a great value. I will definitely recommend Bookit.com to my friends."
"Great trip. Everybody at the hotel was super nice and courteous. Went diving everyday thru dive paradise which is attached to the hotel so it was really convenient . We are already looking to book a trip back in February to stay at hotel Cozumel. Couldn't have been better!"
"Spent a week at this resort, had the European plan with breakfast buffet. I love the location of this hotel, an easy walk in to town. The diving is great, and the snorkeling at the hotel is top notch. Breakfast was very good, had all other meals in town; I love eating at the small family operated restaurants. "
"Friendly staff. Easy dive boat access. Great, safe on-site dive shop with lockers and freshwater rinse tanks. Good food and drinks. Nice pool, clean rooms. Short walk to downtown attractions and bars."
