If you were coming to Cozumel from playa del carmen by ferry, you can easily walk yo casa Mexicana from the ferry terminal, however if u have a lot of luggage a taxi ride will cost you 40pesos. Excellent hotel, it is worth paying extra getting the sea view, however the city view isn't too bad either it also has a balcony. Room was very spacious and clean. Would be great if they could offer bottle water tho. It was the most comfiest pillows and bed, had no issue sleeping at night. There is a outd... Read more

We were meeting my sister for a day who was coming to Cozumel by cruise ship. We booked a two night stay at Casa Mexicana. We cam by ferry from Playa del Carmen and it was just a block away from the ferry terminal right on the main street. Our room was ready when we arrived at noon, though check-in is not until 3pm....not a problem as they were ready for us. Our room on the 2nd floor of the hotel was clean and well air-conditioned and we were able to take a quick nap to refresh ourselves. We got... Read more

Just returned from a 12 night stay at this wonderful facility. Staff was uniformly friendly and helpful. The building was spotless and whenever we turned around someone was cleaning something. We upgraded to an oceanview room and really enjoyed our balcony and sunset views. The breakfast buffet was spectacular with assorted meats, eggs anyway you want them, fresh fruit and juices and more. There are many restaurants within walking distance including some local spots that were wonderful and cheap... Read more

The Casa Mexicana has to be the most convenient, clean, friendly hotel in Cozumel. It has everything needed for scuba divers. I've stayed there 4x now over the past 2 years. Awesome buffet breakfast every morning. Place is spotless ! Close the the ferry's and also grocery stores and all the local vendors. I love this place!

If you're looking for a nice place to stay in downtown San Miguel, you can't do any better than Casa Mexicana. It's clean, quiet and convenient. I have stayed here three times and have never been disappointed. Yes, it is a basic room, but they have nice balconies (especially if you are oceanfront on the top floor), and breakfast is normally very good. It's also within walking distance of several very good restaurants and bars not to mention that it's close to the town pier where Aldora Divers le... Read more

We discovered Casa Mexicana last year and now can't imagine staying anywhere else! We had a beautiful ocean view room with a balcony. Very quiet. Super clean! Comfy bed! It was so awesome they remembered us, and always called us by name. They really have a way of making you feel like family! It is very close to the town square, the ferry, restaurants, even a little store where we could stock our fridge with water and soft drinks. The buffet breakfast is not to be missed! Can't wait to come back!... Read more

This is a perfect hotel for divers wanting to be in the downtown area when diving in Cozumel. It is a very comfortable hotel with breakfast daily and in easy walking distance to all of the downtown restaurants for your evenings. If you need a cab there is a cab stand directly across from the hotel entrance.

We were stranded in Cozumel for two days, so we stayed at the case mexicana. It was awesome! So clean, really nice fresh rooms with beautiful modern bright bathrooms! The pool is small but so refreshing and the deck very relaxing. The view st poolside is wonderful. The staff were so kind and friendly and the breakfast so very delicious! I'm ready to be "stranded" again!

Traveled down from long stay on Isla Mujeres so our daughter could scuba dive. Fantastic location and nice room. The ferry is a few blocks down the street. Bellman Gustavo was very helpful and is an asset to this hotel. Our breakfast was included and we thought it was pretty good with a large selection of items. Good start for the day. This hotel is a great value.

Thanks to everyone at the Casa Mexicana! The service was personal and friendly and made our stay so very comfortable. The breakfast buffet is great and the dining room staff were all so nice! This is clearly the best place to stay and best location and we can't thank them enough for their part in making our vacation perfect!

I cannot express how wonderful the entire staff was. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The hotel is located downtown on the ocean. There is no beach access, if that's what you are looking for. We had an easy walk to the pier for our dive pickup. Many restaurants in walking distance. Breakfast was included and was excellent; fresh fruits, cereal and you could get eggs and pancakes/waffles. The hotel was extremely clean. Wifi was free but spotty in our rooms. All in all a wonderful place to st... Read more

This was my first trip to Cozumel and the Casa Mexicana seemed like the place to stay. Close to all of the bars, shops, and restaurants, very reasonably priced, and incredible views of the ocean from the balcony. It lived up to every one of those and more. The views are amazing and the room was spotless. I didn't spend any time at the pool and the bar at the pool was closed for renovation. Staff were very friendly and seemingly quick to respond to any issues although I didn't have any. Well asid... Read more

My sister and I stayed at Casa Mexicana for two nights on the front part of our stay in Cozumel - the staff was very attentive and incredibly friendly! Our room was on the top floor with a beautiful ocean view! The hotel is in the heart of San Miguel and is within walking distance to local bars and restaurants. We will definitely stay here again and would recommend it to family and friends!

My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel and had a great experience! Perfect location in the downtown area and at walking distance from many attractions. The staff is very friendly and attentive and will go above and beyond to meet your needs. What I always look for is cleanliness and Casa Mexicana met my expectations you will always see an employee cleaning throughout the facility. The complimentary breakfast buffet was a plus and enjoyable. I will definitely stay here again if we return... Read more

Casa Mexicana Cozumel is a very clean, comfortable, modern hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Jamie makes the hotel all that better, he was friendly and funny. The only negative is the room did not have a coffee pot. The breakfast has to be the best in Cozumel. The location downtown is convenient to the ferry, shopping, and most of the activities. This hotel is a must if you like modern design, comfortable and extremely clean hotels.

Staying here for the first time. The hotel does have a small pool and breakfast is included with your room. Great place for scuba divers. Clean, affordable and in the middle of everything. Just a few blocks off the ferry dock. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend it.

We enjoyed our stay at Casa Mexicana. The hotel is right on the main strip, so it was easy to walk to almost anywhere in town. The breakfast served at the hotel is outstanding! The staff were very helpful. The room was well decorated and comfortable. My only complaint would be that the AC did not work well enough to pull the humidity from the air and our towels and swimsuits never got completely dry. Otherwise, we loved our stay here!

We stayed here because we didn't want to do the whole resort thing. This place is centrally located and very clean. The breakfast is great and we really liked being able to walk everywhere. We are getting ready to book here again for 2017!!

We stayed 8 nights at Casa Mexicana in mid-July. This was our second stay there. The service is outstanding. The rooms are kept clean and comfortable. The beds were extremely comfortable, the A/C works great, everything you could ask for. We had the ocean facing option, which adds a great view to the mix. The pool and small lobby bar are just right for relaxing. If you are looking for a central location with some comfort, and not the all-inclusive experience...this is the place!

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and housekeeping did a great job of cleaning our room. The hotel is in a great location. We would highly recommend this hotel!

I stayed here at the end of my stay in Cozumel. The hotel is centrally located so it was a great place to stay in order to access downtown, shopping, restaurants, and the harbor. The breakfast was great and is served until noon, which is a plus. The rooms were great. I would stay here again.

There is nothing special at all about the Casa Mexicana. While there are no glaring deficiencies about the hotel, there is also nothing special about it. Making claim to being one of the best hotels on the "strip" is no great "shake" considering that there are not a lot of hotels of this size on the "strip". The staff was friendly for the most part. The food was serviceable. There were no towels in the room when I checked in. The appliances were noticeably rusted. The pool is about the size of a... Read more

I has been a very pleasant and good stay at Case Mexicana. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the location is convenient if you want to stay not far away from all the happening in the city (rather than in one of the beach resorts). Casa Mexicana is a great value for money, exactly what you need as a diver.

We were on the top (5th) floor with a balcony over looking the beautiful blue water. The hotel had a breakfast buffet on the 2nd floor each morning which was included in the price of the room. The room was clean, comfortably furnished and had a good size partially shaded balcony to enjoy. It was equipped with an alarm clock, mini-fridge and comfortable bath/shower. Buffet breakfast had everything I could imagine. Of course cereals, made to order eggs and waffles, fabulous sliced fruit selection, breads etc. highlights: 1. Fresh dragon fruit, papaya, mango and spiced apples; 2. Make your own smoothie with options from all the fruits, veggies, yoghurt, juice etc.; regional Mexican classic breakfast options.
